  • Not really getting any advice to be honest. I had some bloods done to check my hormones and also diabetes, thyroid etc. I called and was told they were all normal but haven't offered another appointment and with my surgery it's really difficult to make one. O have to wait until I have a weekday off which will probably be…
  • I was onthe depo provera jab for years. I came off it in January last year but sign of AF returning, not even a suggestion of it. Not had any cycle that I'm aware of for about 6 years now I drink a lot of water and lemon juice, that's supposed to be very good for keeping the body alkaline I heard.
  • Wow, I had no idea there were so many side effects with Clomid. I thought that or low level progesterone might be my only options as my blood tests are normal but still no hint of AF. Any side effects with progesterone I should know about before I see the doc again? Wonder if I would be better just sticking with the weight…
  • I get it a lot. I find peppermint tea helps but only if I drink it alongside a glass of water (gives me a dry mouth for some reason). Eating small meals often makes a difference too, if I don't eat enough it's much worse. Crackerbread or similar helps too I find Definitely going to try almonds though.
  • Every sympathy on the in law situation, I have a difficult relationship with mine also (not helped by the pointed remarks about her wanting to be knitting baby clothes and do I have any news on that). Hope things turn out not to be as stressful as they sound
  • Thanks pam, results were ok. Not as much weight as I hoped but five inches this month woohoo. I'm sure you'll break the plateau soon! Things will get better angel, think we all need a push sometimes. I definitely do
  • glad you made it :-) I have weighing and measuring tonight, fingers crossed (been a bad week and I have been snacking where I shouldn't)
  • Thanks everyone. Please let me know if your doctor suggests anything, mine seemed to lose interest after the blood tests came back ok and basically just said wait and see. I haven't even had spotting letting alone AF since stopping - although I never did while I was on it it either. Just feel so frustrated with it all.…
  • So glad I'm not the only one who skips lunch etc. to have something bigger for dinner! Not all the time, mainly at weekends, I'm pretty good through the week. I also love diet coke although I have cut back (though I am on diet vimto today, drink of the gods). I have taken the weight off very fast inthe past and always put…
  • Can I join your group? I was on the depo provera for about 6-7 years and came off it just over a year ago in the hopes of starting a family but no sign of any kind of cycle starting up yet. Had some blood tests, all normal so don't know what to do next but try and lose weight in the hopes that will help. Do I qualify? *g*
  • Do you need to be sat down while you exercise or can you stand for a while? Can your doctor suggest anything? You could try using some of those stretchy bands for resistance training or light weights for arm exercises. This may sound a bit silly and forgive me if I'm completely on the wrong track but would it be worth…
  • I'm having no luck with getting my body back to normal after being on the depo jab for years. Really hoping that losing weight will get my cycle back - it's been over a year now :-( Best of luck to you all!
  • Good for you! I am hoping to get some new trousers soon too, definitely noticing mine getting looser. Bit nervous about that changing room moment though just in case they don't fit! Be really proud of yourself *g*
  • It's all about what you snack on, I tend to have a handful of dried fruit and nuts when I get in from the gym or after work. Through the day I have fresh fruit or the odd cereal bar. I'm a crisp addict so it's been tough but I'm getting used to it (and still let myself have treats every so often). Having said that, I'm…
  • It definitely gets easier as you go along. Using this site helps you work out healthy swaps so you can actually eat a lot more food with fewer calories and that keeps you feeling fuller. Smaller meals or snacks more often can be good too, if nothing else you know it won't be that long before you can eat again! You can…
  • Congratulations on the inch loss, it's so hard not get hung up on the scales
  • Might have to work up to that, at the moment I need my spare hands to pick the thing up after I drop it every 30 secs! Really thought a weighted one would be better though, doh
  • Thanks for all the advice, it does help knowing there are people out there having the same problems. I was terrible over the weekend and indulged in pizza and beer and far too much of things that are no good for me. I'm back on track now though and managing curves depsite the dodgy ankle (talked to them about it and the…
