  • 154cm , 96-98lb and I lift heavy 3x per week. I'm reasonably active (12000 steps per day) in everyday life but do no additional or high intensity cardio. I need a minimum of 2000 calories per day to hold my weight.
  • Men 10-15% Women 15-17%, 20-22% can look fab if there is underlying muscle to go with that and not the 'skinny fat' look. These are my "most attractive", with the possible exceptions of 3-4% male (I personally don't dig veins) and either sex over 35% I think people with the right shape can rock most %'s.
  • Nope, I think lots of it has to do with profile pictures, if you are very attractive and have a good clear profile picture it's gotta be far more likely you'll get a pervy PM. I hide behind a photo of the dog for anonymity (not from the general population but from a specific individual) so I get none.
  • My personal opinion is that if you ask someone to be your bridesmaid or to help you to organize something for YOUR wedding then YOU should foot the bill. I can't bare it when brides ask people to be bridesmaids, insist on their choice of dress (usually the most expensive in the shop) then expect all the bridesmaids to pay…
  • It's hard to imagine you've put on 12lb in a month, you'd have to eat 1400 OVER maintenance and exercise calories every single day for 30 days to achieve that. I would guess even if you are a small and otherwise sedentary female that'd have to equate to at least 3000 calories per day. It's normal to have water and TOM…
  • Yup, two years is the time it takes your skin to recover, after that what recovery you have is probably what your left with. That's two years from stopping losing weight of course, and not from the time you started. There isn't really anything that has been proven to work to reduce loose skin, but there are lots of things…
  • I have allergies (face/throat swelling ones) and trigger foods (I have medical dietary restrictions for a diagnosed medical condition). The amount of rude comments I get about those is phenomenal. Everyone assumes it's either a fad or, perhaps worse, that it's some method of making myself the center of attention. As a…
  • I don't have very successful relationships with women as a general rule. Obviously I do have female friends, but I tend to get on a lot better with men. There is a certain percentage of women who are poisonous, life's just too short to waste time around such people. I had one woman, a complete stranger at a party, express…
  • I get all mine online, I'm UK based. I have the same problem, petite, slim framed, vanity sizing = nightmare. Also 31 and I find that lots of the high street stuff is too young for what I want, and the shops which stock a petite range are often aimed way too old. I don't want to dress like the average 17 year old, nor am I…
  • Mine are pathetic by comparison! 5'1 96-98lb female Squat: 80lb Deadlift: 120lb BP: 60lb Goals are to get my squats up to BW, BP to 80lb and DL to 135-140lb
  • The saddest thing I've seen is people kidding themselves on the calories. I saw one entry (for banana I think) which suggested one banana had 25g of carb, 1g of protein 0g of fat yet only 30 calories! If you don't know the calories but you know the carbs, protein and fat it's easy enough to come up with a reasonably…
  • Sunflower seeds, and to a lesser extent avocado and coconut, provide leucine. The trick is to use cronometer because MFP does not allow you to track more than macros, salt and iron. If you are mindful and watch what you are doing it is possible to hit all micro and macro requirements.
  • I have a raw vegan diet (allergies, I'm not a "vegan" in all aspects of the term) and I eat about 75% fruit, 20% vegetables and 5% nuts and seeds. I have insulin issues (among a whole host of other things) and eating that much fruit has drastically improved the situation believe it or not! Fruit is so easy to digest that…
  • Remember that your skin will continue to retract for 2 years after you've reached your 'goal' weight. You should expect improvement with time. I know my loose skin is definitely still improving and I'm 17 months post partum, so there is hope. Body fat percentages are good, but just like other measurements they don't show…
  • The wonder of peer pressure! Make it socially unacceptable to be slim at family gatherings and keep the whole family fat! Good for you for breaking the mold for your health and fitness! I agree with the poster who said that maintaining whilst allowing yourself everything in moderation is the best way to subtly apply the…
  • I'm 154cm, tiny framed and 96-98lb and I am wanting to maintain my weight but track my macros and I can't seem to work out what my intake needs to be to do that. I think I'm probably slap bang between 'slightly active' and 'active' which averages out at 1660 calories on MFP, yet when I go onto scooby it tells me I need…
  • What an excellent post! I used to have a friend who was an old school professional photographer. He could take 10lb off of me with the right angle and light. The power of clever posing and good lighting!
  • It sounds to me like your life is WAY more interesting than theirs are. I can't think of any other reason that they would focus so much of their attention on you otherwise. They must be seriously dull if one spin class put them all in such a, well spin! Weight and the amount of fat you carry is something which can be…
  • He was being lazy, you called him out on being lazy, he wasn't happy about it. "Please" is only a requirement if you are asking for help/favor of someone. "Please could you spot me", "please could you let me know when you are finished" etc. All obviously followed up with a "thank you". You thanked him for taking the plates…
  • The ones I use are Vega One in Berry, and Sunwarrior in vanilla. I don't like the chocolate or any of the other flavours. I use a mixture of Sunwarrior vanilla and cacao to create a divine raw vegan chocolate shake. The sunwarrior tastes great in a fruit smoothie too, as does the Vega One. I find that the Vega One is more…
  • I swapped out "It's fine" or "I'm fine" for "I don't want to talk about this right now" many years ago. If she's angry then perhaps she wants to calm down and/or gain perspective before she deals with the situation.
  • Wow! Everyone who posted looks 5-10 years younger in their slimmer faces!
  • This is clearly as much as about your Gran as it is you, and her needs and desire to be a provider/be needed. I think if you go in to hard you could upset her. I would point her in the right direction with something like "Gran I'm really in the mood for fruit salad this week, do you have a recipe?", then when she makes…
  • 5'1 tall Was 28HH at 120lb Now 28FF at 98lb although I can only wear one make as the other 28's come up too big in the back.
  • The situation is that even if you were/are too thin, it's still no place to comment. I mean what on earth would happen if a stranger told you you looked like a cancer patient and you turned around and said you were battling cancer? I mean how inappropriate is that! I also get it, I've got a very very small frame and I'm…
  • That has to be water. You'd have done well to have eaten 7000 calories over your maintenance rate in 24 hours! I find my weight can fluctuate by 3-4lbs (morning measurements) based on TOM and what I've eaten. It's all water and it leaves as quickly as it arrives.
  • I love the sunwarrior vanilla, I add a little to my chocolate bomb post workout. I don't get on with the vega products, they don't suit me at all. It's definitely a case of trying and seeing what you like. You can get individual sachets of most of them.
  • I <3 bananas and eat 6-8 per day!
  • Right, total clean eater but it's only due to allergies. I'd love to be in the middle and be able to have some of the things which make me unwell. I dream of the day I can have pizza and cookies (in moderation obviously!) without spending the next 5 days in severe gastrointestinal distress!
