I generally save at least a third of my calories for the day (somewhere around 1000) to use between 9 and midnight because that's when I get snacky. Still managed to lose 173 pounds with no problem.

sure....but like 25 instead of 100.....if I need to have milk for cereal I'd rather only spend a negligible amount of my calorie budget
-
meh. i don't like drinking my calories. If I'm going to have cereal or something I'll use unsweetened almond milk instead
-
then i guess you shouldn't be taking it.
-
if you're desperate just get a prescription?
-
diet pepsi. mmmm

yeah, unfortunately running is how I actually get to work and back every day, so taking up swimming would be more costly than I can afford since I'd not only have to pay to swim every day, but I'd also have to pay for another mode of transport....also, I used to love swimming, but since dropping the weight I have no…

I thought I might have one in my 2nd and maybe 3rd metatarsal but it's hard to say as I have a very high pain threshold/tolerance and often don't feel "pain" like someone else might (like I donated a kidney and therefore had a full caesarean style slice across my stomach from where they removed it, and as soon as I was…

i'll eat pretty much anything, though I'm basically a dessertitarian
-
amen!

hibernation? no way. I'm on the west coast. unlike for the rest of y'all, it's like summer all year 'round...comparatively speaking
-
haha...I did last year. I just figure if I have other bits available I might as well give those away too. Seeing as how blood cells are so conveniently reproducible it would have been a simple enough thing to do. oh well.
-
yeah...unfortunately it's not a dietary sort of thing for me that can be fixed with supplements. I had to get all this tested before I was allowed to donate a kidney and they made me get my levels tracked for months on end with a hematologist. 117 every single time no matter what I did. He said it was just my "normal" and…

not eligible. hemoglobin is always JUUUUUUST under what they'll accept. lamesauce.

well, I lost 173 pounds all while consuming artificial sweeteners in ginormous amounts. it's been nearly 2 years that i've maintained it now all while drinking diet soda like there's no tomorrow. If it supposedly causes fat storage (as opposed to the usual thing that causes it, like consuming more calories than you burn)…

oddly enough I haven't found much difference between the meatier pizzas and veg when I look them up at the places we have here. I've actually found ham and pineapple (unfortunately my least favourite) to be the lowest of the ones that usually show up at the functions I go to where ordering pizza is the go-to. Less calories…

assume they like hot beverages?

this is the eggnog biscotti recipe I used. And it's freakin DELICIOUS. I didn't have the rum or rum extract at the time but even without that it's still good. I also did about half the icing because the amount called for seemed ridiculous. http://homecookingmemories.com/eggnog-biscotti/

cool beans. thanks!

I want it to not rain tomorrow so I don't get soaked on yet another run. blaaah

angrily/jealously stare at her drinking the egg nog latte whilst i drink my plain old brewed coffee because i wish i were also drinking an entire meal's worth of calories but i was too cheap to get the drink i REALLY wanted.
-
will you still be keeping track of how many grams of carbs you're netting in a meal? It's a nice idea not to have to log....but since dropping it completely could have more far reaching consequences for someone with diabetes than someone who was only doing it to maintain a number on the scale...that might be something to…
-
that's it right there....jealousy. Either with regards to how you look or to the fact that you actually had the gumption to take care of something they also have an issue with and are too apathetic to do anything about. Comments like "my boyfriend loves me the way I am" might be true, but is often (though not always) also…

also, I was 310 and am now hanging out in the 140 range, give or take....I had to drop a wackload of weight to be eligible to give away a kidney and I had to do it fast for the sake of the recipient. I managed to do 1200 for about 6 months and drop most of that in that time, so it's definitely do-able. You just have to…

is this net calories he's telling you? or total calories? If you're allowed to do some exercising, that might give you a little extra room, but first check what you're allowed to do without putting yourself at risk and also see if the doctor means "1600....final answer." even if you do some exercising. The heart is…

I am a long distance runner and now have disproportionately large legs compared to the rest of me because of the muscles....so....not so sure that's the way to go. lol
-
Had this added to my travel tattoo the other day while I'm in Dublin. Cheaper than anywhere I can get it done at home, so why not?
-
this is why i always went running in the dead of night. I suppose there's a greater potential for crime but i always reasoned that chances were slim of someone wanting to get into it with a 300+ pound girl who could clearly kick their @$$.
-
So is there more that needs to be addressed with this? You can want to make all the effort in the world, but if you haven't put the psychologically related issues to rest with whatever tools you can get from the pros, chances are you'll end up back in the same position again.
-
Yeah, I'm not even talking about necessarily logging it, but keeping a mental tally of what you've even over the course of the day if you have the tendency to overeat...or for some people, undereat. I can count on one hand how many times I can ever remember actually feeling hungry...whether I had last eaten sometime that…
