that's what I was thinking. It usually goes the other way around. I know I pretty well don't get mine in the summer. Maybe one or two really light/hardly worth a mention ones which is probably because I run more (at least 20 - 30km a day) and I also read something about how longer daylight hours can mess with hormones in…

well if you lost 20 more you'd be well into "underweight" on the charts....so definitely listen to your trainer. lol

@maniacallaugh it's probably going to be the standard 6 - 8 weeks you should wait after any kind of surgery. I know my mom couldn't even lift a glass of water without spilling it all over the place for like a week after her reduction. And maybe this doesn't apply so much to removing skin, or breast tissue, but I know that…

yep. that's 2 of our professionals to his 1. I had to stop solid foods by 10 am but was allowed liquid or "creamed" things right up to 10 pm the night before my 8:30 am surgery as long as there was nothing solid in it at all. Of course, that equaled watching TV in my hotel room with a 2 liter of Chocolate Ice cream and…

preach.....when I had to see every doctor under the sun during the kidney donation process to give one to my dad, the nephrologist had a chocolate bar in hand every single time I saw him. Since he's a doctor and obviously advocates regular consumption of processed sugars, they must be good for you......but wait....if a…

most logical "sugar is not the devil" reasoning i've ever seen on here. hats off to you, sir

depends on the amount of exercise you do. I actually have to aim for more sodium than the "maximum recommended amount for adults" because the assumption is that most adults are basically sedentary-lightly active. Depending on how long my run is every day I might lose up to 7000 - 8000 mg based on my sweat rate, so I need…

Then I wouldn't even think about it. If you don't seem to be losing weight (either looking like it, or feeling like your clothes are getting bigger) and you're following your doctor's orders on how much to eat, don't even think about it.
-
so weigh yourself regularly and watch the trend. your scale has more information about you when you stand on it than a bunch of strangers who can't see you let alone pick you up to try and guess what you weigh. lol
-
you'd best ask your scale, i guess.

oh no! don't show her THAT! she'll jump on the "zero calorie diet sodas make you FAT" train! lol

a body. it's always the innocent looking ones.

The American Journal of Medicine database will have properly conducted scientific peer reviewed studies, but she'd actually have to care enough to purchase access to the related articles, such as "Caloric intake, not carbohydrate or fat consumption, determines weight loss" by Richard Fleming

no food is inherently evil, nor should a person ever feel guilty for choosing to eat a specific type of it. Unless it belongs to someone else. Like if someone finds the liter of cappuccino frozen yogurt i'm planning to devour tonight and takes it before i can get to it.....then they should feel very VERY guilty.
-
then nothing you do will help until she decides for herself to stop leaning on her fantasies for an excuse.

I don't believe any food is "bad". unless you're allergic. Then it's bad....for you...but still not in general. If I want something and it fits my calories, I'll eat it. If it doesn't fit, I'll just tack another 10k onto my run and MAKE it. lol

I love cream of wheat with some Old Tyme no sugar added maple syrup. deeeeeelish

5'6.5" 138 - 142 range.....though I feel fatter way more often now than I ever did when I was actually fat and am torn between wanting to go lower and just staying where I am so I don't disrupt good ol' TOM (which happens every time I go below 138) and end up with early onset osteoporosis. Never a good scene when you go…

I love how the models are clearly people who would never have any need of such a thing.

i don't care to read through all the pages, so you might have already gotten this advice....if you want to spread those calories out during the day rather than have them all at night, and already feel like your meals are "big" enough, just add more calorie dense options to those meals. Add nuts to a salad or cook with oil.…

totally do-able. I was overweight since birth (literally....I was about a 12 pounder...my size and lack of technology in that hospital led them to waiting for "the other one" to come out before realizing I wasn't twins :P). I was never a dieter. Frankly, I was quite happy with myself, but had to lose weight to be a viable…

i found it pretty quick and easy too.

dang. was logged into my co-worker's account ^ lol... anyway, you're young. your skin will tighten back up far more (and more quickly) than someone older or who has carried the weight for longer. You'll still have stretch marks. They just won't be decorating permanent skin drapes like mine.

depends. has your amount of exercise increased in the last 4 months? because if you've done exactly the same thing in the last 4 months as you did in the 4 before that and it's only in the last 4 that you've lost a fair amount of weight for already having been in the normal range....you might want to check with a doctor.
-
lol.....I actually do that. more often at potlucks and bbqs, though. More variety. Of course, I also run a minimum of 20 to 25 km a day, so I'm just eating back my burn.... anyhoo.... I have no idea what a "Lasagna Fritta" even is. 4 of them could be 100 calories or 1000 for all I know, so I was just asking why it was a…

a big ol' liter of Chapman's Cappuccino frozen yogurt with some maple syrup and granola on top. for this I run 20k a day. lol

I wasn't the one calling eating the lasagna fritta things she loves so much a "negative"....she did. I was just wondering why it was listed as a negative. it's just food.
