LOL-- I hope it's not neck herpes. :) It's more curiosity than anything. I know weight loss can trigger toxin releases, so I thought maybe it had something to do with that. Also, getting another doctor is a huge pain in the butt-- I have an HMO that requires me to visit a PCP for a referral. Getting him to refer me could…

OK, well as I said, I've already gone to the doctor and he isn't concerned. That's why I was coming here to see if anyone had anything similar just out of curiosity.
-
I have gone to the doctor, but he just dismisses it. I'm not like... worried I'm about to die or something. If it were dire I'd go to the ER-- but this isn't dire. Just curious.

LMAO... I had to copy this to my Facebook. lol

inulin, isomalt, maltitol, maltitol syrup, mannitol, Oligosaccharride, sorbitol, sorbitol syrup None of these are sugars. Sugar substitutes with low GI indexes (maltitol syrup being the highest), yes, but not sugars. Inulin is a sweet-tasting fiber bulking agent. I agree-- not ALL sugars are bad. That said, a lot of them…

Yes. High GI is how long it takes for your blood sugar levels to rise from a certain food. A food can be very high in sugar (e.g. a Snickers bar) and have a low GI due to accompanying fats and proteins, which slows the absorption of the sugars. A food like whole wheat bread (yes, even whole wheat) has a higher GI than the…

IMHO, yes, fruit sugar counts-- to an extent. Some fruits have a higher glycemic index than others. For example, berries of all kinds boast low glycemic indexes. Apples and pears and peaches are low-medium, while watermelon, pineapple and green grapes are high. I try to choose lower GI fruits when possible because they…

It's possible that he thought your grammar was off-putting. *shrugs*

I weigh daily in the mornings. It helps me to stay on track. I log all losses, but I only log gains if they remain for three days since water fluctuates so much. :)
-
How about nothing BUT red meat and pork? I might be on board for that.
-
Thank you, everyone. I really appreciate your responses. I'm back at it, albeit frustrated, and I know it'll come off. I just have to wait it out! :)

I don't know how I feel about it. My daughter is in third grade and is 4 feet 6 inches and weighs 58 lbs. She's skinny but healthy and within normal limits. One of her friends, who is very short (about 3 feet 11), weighed in at 45 lbs. She asked me why she was "fatter" than her friend. She then heard from another friend,…

Fantastic work! Out of idle curiosity, what is the max. weight to do that?

It was awful. She was very, very close with her brother and he was only 23. Her heart is still broken. She can't even look at the pictures we took before the wedding (while she was still there) because she has nightmares. It was awful for all parties. :(
-
I sold mine on eBay about a month after the wedding. Our wedding was awful-- my MOH's brother died in a car accident 20 mins. before I walked down the aisle, our photographer lost half the photos, no one danced, the food wasn't great and we were forced to do the ceremony inside the reception hall because of rain. On top of…

These brussels sprouts, my dear, absolutely do not. They are sauteed in bacon drippings. I mean... hello. :) For the rest of you, sounds like everyone ate well tonight! And to the poster who had her wisdom teeth out, I hope you're feeling well! :)

I agree-- and it sounds like the late pills are likely the cause of the bleeding. You may be more successful if you set an alarm and always make sure to remember it on time. :)

(My quotes keep getting messed up, but this is for you, OP) I would suggest the LOESTRIN 24 FE then. It's NOT the same as Lo-Loestrin 24 FE-- it has a very slightly higher amount of estrogen. It sounds similar, but it may help your problem. Sorry-- it's confusing. I just wanted you to make sure you understood the…

Lo Loestrin is an ultra, ultra low dose pill, so it's more likely that you'll bleed if you miss a pill-- or even take a pill late-- because the concentration of hormones in your blood is lower. As soon as your body senses the hormones decreasing, it will cause you to bleed and possibly cramp. Lo Loestrin contains 10mcg of…

I always weigh daily! This lifestyle change is all about routine to me. I know my weight will fluctuate, but I like having my morning weigh-in as a routine. It helps me stay on track. That said, I don't log my weight daily. My rule is I only log losses. If I gain, a gain has to appear for three consecutive days (weigh-ins)…

Full coverage? Are we talking granny panties or low cuts? I wear low cuts/bikini/boyshort underwear and they all cover my butt. I've never had a problem. lol

Cleveland, OH area. I was 19 when I got pregnant and 19 when I had her. I am 28 now and she's about to turn 9 (whoa). :) Not having anymore, though!

You're welcome. :) Like someone said, though, low carb is totally subjective. Is 150g a day low? 100? It's more about what you can deal with versus what is considered low. If I were to give honest advice (my own opinions here, nothing more), I'd say sticking to 80-100 grams of healthy (fruit, veggie, ancient grains,…

I switched to low fat (low calorie, honestly) after low carbing for a year and gained back 50 pounds. Here's why it didn't work (I mean it does, if you have crazy self-will): You. Will. Crave. Beating the cravings that return after going back to "reasonable" eating is hard. It's like an addiction (for me, anyway). The…

http://www.dietdoctor.com/gallstones-and-low-carb This is actually a REALLY interesting article that talks about how a low fat diet leads to gall stones because you produce less bile to digest the fat from continuously eating a low fat diet. Again, I don't have gall stones, so I don't know much on the topic. Just an…

I just did a huge write up on Kristina Carillo-Bucaram for Motivate magazine. She's awesome. Not my diet (I'm high fat, low carb, actually!), but she's super helpful if you need help!

Heck yes!

2002. Cell phones were finally starting to become common. This was the one everyone just HAD to have-- the hottest seller that year!

I get what he's saying, but people keep misinterpreting what I am (and the rest of us) are saying as "woe is me," but it's not. It's healthy to talk about this and sometimes they don't get it.

Well, considering I am here, that should tell you something. That's what I'm doing. I never said otherwise. That said... I completely and TOTALLY agree. Mind you I'm talking about obese individuals (like me). I've tried acceptance, but no one is comfortable knowing their heart is a ticking time bomb or that they might not…
