This sounds like patronising advice, but if you are hungry then you need to eat more. I have had times when my calorie allowance wasn't enough and I ate more and still lost a pound a week. Maybe you're burning more than you think through exercise or your food is fewer calories than you think. I haven't been hungry the…

Well pretty much every Jillian Michaels workout is amazing but they are pretty high intensity. First level of her 30 Day Shred is up on youtube and so are a few of her other ones. Chris Powell's extreme makeover weightloss edition workouts levels 1, 2 and 3 are all up on youtube. Probably a nicer way to ease yourself in…

I wanted to lose about 65lbs in total when I started and decided to make it very simple and easy by going out for 60 minutes of walking every day. I also counted calories and cut out all of the junk food I had been eating and replaced it with lower calorie healthier versions. I still love to snack and don't want to feel…

Her banish fat boost metabolism 40 minute workout is pretty good. It's up on youtube and it's a lot of high intensity cardio. A total killer!
-
I try to do about 30-60 mins of cardio every day, usually by walking. I will also do some strength training or a workout dvd 2 or 3 days a week but with a rest day or two inbetween so my muscles have time to recover. Do whatever feels right for you, if you have more energy do more and vice versa.

I just log Jillian Michaels shred as circuit training but take 5 mins off as it can come out with an estimate I think is a little too high.
-
Give it a bit of time! Maybe you are expecting a little too much too quickly. Keep on as you are and you will get there.

There are 3 levels of the Chris Powell Extreme Makeover Weightloss Edition workout up on youtube. They're pretty good. If you're in decent shape you can use the first one as a warm up for the 2nd or 3rd levels.

In Jillian Michaels' 30DS videos she does some exercises where you are slightly squated whilst doing punches. She recommends punches and upper body work as a good way to get cardio in if you have a lower body injury. Might be worth looking into. Hope the foot heals soon!

I'm sure it is possible to do the 30DS workout on consecutive days but my body certainly told me otherwise when I tried! I think there aren't any hard and fast rules really, just listen to your body. If you feel you can go again then do it, if you ache too much then take a few days off.

That is going to be the longest 27 minutes of your life. Fact. You will hate her but after a few workouts you will see little improvements and it makes it actually kind of addictive. I have never done her 30DS programme in the actual 30 days but I use her workouts a couple of times a week and I can't believe what a big…

Firstly, congratulations on an excellent thread title. Really, first class. Secondly, I am also feeling a post Christmas indulgence related lack of motivation for my diet and exercise routine. I don't go to the gym, I prefer to use exercise dvds or get outside. This week has been hard but doing even as little as 20 minutes…

It's always good to have goals, sometimes they're a little unrealistic but striving towards them is never a bad thing. That does seem like a lot of weight to lose in so short a space of time, but the goal sounds like it's motivating you pretty well. Personally I chose the slower weight loss route because I wanted it to be…

If you can't do the full exercise routine you would normally do in your living room when people are staying, could you do a modified version in another room? I can't always access the lounge for workout dvds and jumping a lot upstairs isn't really an option, so I use different workouts depending on the space available to…

1. Not wanting to feel unfit and lethargic; getting out of breath walking upstairs was not acceptable! 2. Realising my body deserved better treatment than I had been giving it with my diet/exercise or lack thereof. 3. Not wanting a heart attack or diabetes or any of the bad things that go with being overweight. 4. Wanting…

If you are building muscle the scale may not move as quickly as it used to but you should see differences in your inch measurements and just a general improvement in the tone of your body. When my scale isn't moving after working out I just remember that muscle burns more calories at rest anyway so it's all good.

THE ROCKY THEME TUNE.

Some days I really notice and feel my weightloss, but others I don't feel like I've lost anything at all. I know logically that I am smaller and my old clothes are too big but it is taking me a while to get used to my new body. I suppose after being overweight for about a year or more I got very used to my old body shape.…

I'm going to eat pretty much whatever I want over Christmas but try to keep it in moderation. Expecting to go over my calorie limits for the week of Christmas day and New Year's but not too worried. A bit of indulgence for a week won't undo all the work I've put in up to now. Infact, denying myself at Christmas would…

Perhaps the speed of your weightloss was so fast that your skin hasn't had a chance to catch up yet. It will probably take time and strength exercises. How did you lose so much weight in such a short period of time?

Putting my hands on my hips and them not being as wide as they were 4 months ago. Completing workouts that destroyed me when I started, but now just make me feel stronger. Being able to walk for hours and not feel the leg weariness I did when I was 20lbs heavier. Not feeling like I have the knees of an 80 year old woman.…

On days when I have little motivation I blast some music that makes me want to get up and move. I also try to remind myself that I only need to commit 25 - 30 minutes a day to exercise and I've achieved something. I always feel better for it afterwards. I try to remember that post workout feeling to inspire me to actually…

The Rocky theme tune defeats all cravings. You cannot eat a cookie while punching people to Eye Of The Tiger. It just cannot be done.

It took members of my family who see me every day 4 months to notice my weightloss. By that time I had lost 20lbs! It probably is due to the fact the people around you don't notice it as much. Do you wear fitted clothes? Or did you before you lost the weight? As I always prefer slightly baggier clothes so it wasn't…

As someone who used to eat a lot of sugar and gained weight from it, I find the trick is not to cut things out entirely but to find healthier alternatives. Usually they are a lower calorie hit so you can eat a couple of servings and not feel deprived. Plus any calories you save you can use to have a bit of the more…

It's good to have a rough idea of how much you want to lose to get to a healthy body weight. Note that figure, then try to forget about it and focus on your weekly weight loss. Personally I find this method is best for my sanity and motivation. I want to lose about 60lbs in total. If I think about that figure for longer…

Reached my calorie limit by 9pm and have had to use all my will power not to snack and go over. Hoping watching Sherlock Holmes will distract me..

Just make it up tomorrow and enjoy the cookies now!
