We loves the breadsticks. They are our precious.

Me too :)

I did the same thing! We met, fell in love, and began feeding each other all the things we love to make, taking each other to our favorite restaurants, and spending the weekends curled up on the couch with a plate of cheese and cured meats. The last time I was a '2' was when it had a 'T' after it, but I managed to get to…

I like you. :)

Mmmm...both are delicious! Trader Joes has a great blend, 'Harvest Grains', which is Israeli Couscous, Red Quinoa, Orzo and Baby garbanzo beans. It's so tasty, I've been using that for darn near anything that calls for either couscous or quinoa :)

I've had hormonal migraines for the majority of my life, and they suck so bad! Have you by any chance started replacing sugar with artificial sweeteners lately? They can cause some pretty nasty migraines, in fact a friend of mine suffered from them at least twice a month, debilitating, life halting headaches, and after…

Adding, for engagements and biblophilia!

I'm in a contest against my will, as my fiance refuses to be 'beaten by a girl' at the gym. You men are silly folk. :D

Feel free to add me (anyone), my diary is open and I am active daily :)
-
Because it gets me all pumped up for the rest of the day, and allows for more wine after dinner.

You're right! It isn't chocolate cake, or homemade waffles. It's so, so much more than that. Come to think of it, both of the items listed above would be greatly improved with the addition of..... BACON.

...sigh... in spite of the fact that I'm sure you already know this: Lack of fat in diet Lack of protein in diet Lack of fiber in diet How is starving the body anything BUT dangerous? C'mon! (apologies, this is not the thread for this) *eta* That it's one thing to supplement your diet with fresh juices, it's another…

I've read every post on this thread, and mentioned nothing specific.

Nutella PIE? Is that a real thing? I want that thing! (though I made 'mac and cheese' with spaghetti squash last week [and it was delicious])
-
Oh, I see. So the actual dangers are a joke to you. Got it.

I don't see why one couldn't maintain a low carb diet for their whole lives (granted, I am assuming you mean cutting potatoes and bread and that kind of stuff, not the happy carbs from veggies and the like). Not everyone is crazy about them. And some who are find, once they have greatly reduced or eliminated them entirely,…

Heehee, I love the idea of your screaming about your smoothie! Here's mine, give or take: 5 strawberries 1/4 c blueberries 1/3 c pineapple 1/2 a banana handful of greens (spinach, chard or kale) 1 tsp. turmeric splash of unsweetened cranberry juice 6-8 ounces of unsweetened vanilla almond milk I <3 it. I wonder if the…

You don't think a person about to embark on a potentially dangerous means of weight loss needs some advocacy?
-
Wow! When I opened this thread I thought, 'that's a pretty tall statement to make!' But no... this thread delivers! That IS the coolest NSV ever! Good for you!
-
You look incredible!!
-
Good for you, you look amazing! I thought you were giving us your age, as 61, rather than your height and I about died when I saw your picture. LOL!
-
You look great! I just hit 11 down too, from 205 to 194. What is your goal weight?
-
That is fantastic, you should be proud of yourself :)

"How can you have a brain but not be able to talk" "Can it be proven?" "It's a serious issue" Priceless. ETA: Holy crap! She knows they have free will, but she doesn't know if it can be proven that they have brains? What?

Chicago for most of my life, but born and raised in Omaha Nebraska.

Fig Rose, from Teavana. My honey yells at me to stop eating it, because I swear, you can eat it loose and it tastes like candy. That, and straight up plain green tea are my faves.

Oh sweet 8lb 6oz baby Jeebus, get into my face!

This bread is the best! I've made it with one c. flour substituted with ancient grains flour, or a whole wheat flour, and it's great. I've made it with roasted garlic cloves and fresh rosemary... also great! The possibilities are endless! Also, the King Arthur Flour website has a bunch of no knead recipes that I haven't…

The only people she is 'shaming', are those ashamed of themselves. That's not her problem.

I love chia, but I can't say I've really eaten them just to try to curb hunger. I'll put them in my smoothies, mix a bit into yogurt, or make an orange/cardamom 'pudding' with them. Sometimes, I'll just knock back a tbsp. with a chug of water. Maybe it's psychosomatic, but I get some sort of happy, bouncy boost from them.
