Count me in! I am 36, have a long way to go and could use all of the support and information I can get. I am a mom to three girls, I work a desk job and I am in the TEAM weight loss program at Lifetime Fitness. We are on week 10 and i have lost 26lbs so far. It meets three nights a week and basically a trainer kicks your…

I think that the exercise calories are calculated based on ONE individual. For example, Mary who is 36 (5'8", 350lbs) may burn 300 calories by 30 Minutes of "Walking, moderate pace" a pretty generic entry. Nancy (15) sees that entry and enters 30 minutes and it enters 600 calories into her database however she is only 5'1"…

You look SO MUCH YOUNGER! Good job, keep at it!

I would also ask, are you drinking alcohol? That will slow you down as well.
-
Really? 12 cals per pound? I must research this more.

"uh oh take cover" LOL!

I agree, take it to the person abover her. You handled it better than I would have, that is for sure. You have all of this in writing? I'd BCC everyone on the team next time she emailed me, making sure EVERYONE could see the whole chain of nasty emails. F*&^ her. You are a good mom doing the best you can do. Screw that…

I feel your pain. I love wine. However, alcohol slows down your metabolism like crazy so just cut it out of your diet. I did and the weight started coming off. In addition you will sleep better and just feel better all around. Yoga is an excellent idea. good luck!

In my experience, MFP and the treadmill are both always high, but if you are to use one, I would go with the treadmill and knock 25% off the calories. so if it says 1000 calories burned, i'd enter 750. As for the HRM, I have a polaris and love it.

Nice.

That is awful. As a mother to a six year old, I wanted to cry for you. A mothers job is to build her child up, not tear her down. I am so sorry. I had a pretty rough relationship with my mother, as well, and it literally took a couple of years of not speaking, to work itself out. I have a relationship now with my mother on…

:flowerforyou: I, too, would like to add my "what an complete and utter tool," commet. You are going to do great here, you will feel better physically and emotionally. You can and will do this because you are amazing. Screw that *kitten*.

I have a few good ones: Rolling in the Deep - Adele, Only Girl in the World - Rhianna, Bang, Bang - K'Naan & SexyBack - Justin Timberlake.

LOL. You must REALLY like the stuff. I would think that it is ok, so long as you are keeping tabs on your sodium intake, counting the calories and drinking lots of water...

Great work! You should be proud of yourself!

Oh, Lilacs! I could drink in that smell all day long!

Could it be that you are just retaining water, because of TOM? That is my guess - even if it has gone away...It takes a few days for your body to catch up. Hang in there!

I love Texas. Thanks, Ed!

I want to know too, but I have to think it really has a bit to do with the temp of the environment. Running outside in 60 degree weather, I sweat less, but translate that to a stuffy gym on a treadmill and I am sweating buckets.

Nice! Thanks for the link.

I have a New Balance 50071NB N4 - with chest strap. It does indicate how many minutes i was in Zone 3 - for example, the one our on the treadmill, i was in zone 3 for 29 min. I do think that the treadmill is picking up on the chest strap.

Great job!
