acknowledgement and acceptance are the first steps! I started at 221 in Sept 2013, I am now 180 and going strong... I simply count my calories and aim to burn 200 calories every day doing anything and everything that gets me off my butt lol I am eating 1200 calories a day and I do not eat back my exercise calories yet....…

You dont' trust him and can't and will not get over this... cut the ties now while you still have some dignity. Once the trust is gone it's only a matter of time before it all crumbles down and "this girl" becomes "all those girls" ... get a real man!

You aren't ruining christmas for your dad, your dad can make the best of it or can sit and play the victim...ultimately, he's choosing to "ruin" his own christmas.... Do what makes you happy... You're not responsibly for anyone elses' happiness but your own!

never let circumstance define who you are! It takes patience and hard work but it pays off... the biggest piece of advice that has helped me "Time heals all" ... give yourself TIME.. don't let little hiccups undo months of hard work... left foot, right foot... one step at a time :)

Being 30 lbs heavier than my boyfriend...yep! ain't nobody got time for that lol

I hate exercise too... the thought of going to the gym puts me in a bad mood. I've been on MFP for 12 weeks and have lost 40 lbs through my diet and walking. I got a fitbit and started making sure I hit 10,000 steps and 5 miles per day and now I sometimes go as far as 10 miles and 20,000 steps.... I haven't stepped a foot…

The christmas song- by The Raveonettes! my daughter used to bust a move in her little footy pj's to it everytime it came on, It still makes me smile.

I think just by creating a deficit in your calories will help weight start to come off but that being said, walk. Get yourself a pedometer or a "Fitbit" and make sure you hit 5000-10,000 steps a day. I've lost 40 lbs in 12 weeks just by following my diet and walking, I have yet to step foot in a gym. when I get a good…

I've lived in NW-Ontario pretty much my whole life and it's always Lots of snow followed by -40 weather until about march... HATE IT.. I plan to retire in the southern sun... F- shovelling!

I'm awkward and emotionally stunted... I don't get overly emotional and avoid heart to heart conversations that make me all ooey gooey like the plague.... This often makes me seem cold hearted or B*tchy. When I'm mad I definitely internalize and walk away, then deal with it as frankly and non drawn out as possible once…

This was a major NSV for me too, its not strange or weird and just because other people dismiss it as "irrelevant" doesn't mean it doesn't mean something to you! I started seeing mine again around the 190 mark, when I am in the 140-160 lbs range I can always see it. anything over 195 it disappears for me. Way to go...…

Being a woman, we are programmed to downplay things in general. In coporate and office settings especially, We will often drop "I'm sorry" for things that don't need apologies such as your voicemail, "Sorry I'm not in the office right now..."...etc etc The best response is "Thank you" and a smile, or "you are very…

The chew but don't swallow diet. You are permitted to chew all the food you want but have to spit it out and swallow nothing solid, only liquids such as a protein shakes or smoothies.

seriously, It fluctuates...I will lose 3 lbs then come up a 1lbs... there are so many variables you can't control such as water retention, hormones etc... Don't sweat 1 lb.. just stick with it for 1 month. be honest and accurate in your logging. Lying about what you're eating will only fail you... I promise if you stick to…

No, I wasn't always overweight. I maintained a healthy normal weight and BMI until my first year of University. I did let myself go. Got in a relationship, ate a lot of the same foods together. Knew I had gained some weight but didnt' really pay attention to just how much . The relationship was turbulent and I was isolated…

Time! took 5 years for my pregnancy stretch marks to fade. They were bad- real bad, but now they're clear, my skin just looks textured because of them.

Fantastic congrats on the size 18!!! My NSV was fitting into a pair Size 31 silver jeans (Silver jeans are made RIDICULOUSLY small) and a medium top... When I started this Journey I was a 14/16 (34/36) pants and a L/XL top... so in 8 weeks I've seen big results!! :D

I can relate from both sides of this, I am a step child and I have a daughter from a previous relationship. The feeling "replaced" thing? TOTALLY NORMAL! Even though you're not replacing her, you're diverting your total attention from her to another person, it's not possible to give her the same amount of your time as…
