Haha, I know it sounds anal, but shortcake is chock full of butter, so a few grams can make a bit of a difference. I know the weight of the whole recipe because I weighed the dry/raw ingredients as they went in and totaled the grams. I'll weigh the whole cooled recipe and divide by 8! Thanks! :drinker:

This video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TGcdyfDM3oQ Absolutely a must for calorie counting, and calorie counting is the best and most controllable way to lose weight. Weigh your food (healthful or unhealthful), log the weight of EVERYTHING in MFP, eat at a slight deficit, and move on the days you don't babysit. Best of…

Workout A today! Still working my way up a little since I deloaded again. Squats: 145lbs 3x5 Bench: 70lbs 3, 3, 4 (failure, staying at this weight) Row: 70lbs 3x5 Had a sugar hangover from all the July 4th goodies yesterday, so instead of being energized, I felt hella exhausted.

Hey there, I strongly recommend that you check out the StrongLifts 5x5 for Women group here on MFP. They are fantastic and have a ton of FAQ. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/4618-stronglifts-5x5-for-women Generally, you start with a weight you can lift. for at least 5 repetitions, but not more than 8 or 10 (then…

Me either! But somehow I was able to build a happy life anyway. Weird, huh?

When your hips jut out past your emaciated stomach and allow the bikini to sort of just be stretch over like a bridge.
-
Or a bikini bridge. Or hair that always looks like I just got up from a sex romp.

Yet another thing magazines want women to be self-conscious about and ashamed. Right up there with cellulite and body hair.

Regaining after a very long stint with low calorie disordered eating is generally something your doctor should guide you through. Go talk to your doctor as soon as you can and be honest about your eating habits and emotions concerning weight gain. If you've only been eating that way for like, a month, and you're wanting to…

I'm glad you enjoyed her take on recomp! I completely understand the size thing -- all I want is to fit into all my size 6 dresses again (because I just like them, damn it!). Especially during breast feeding, I'm sure you'll have to be more patient, because you need the calories for that. The thing I like about the article…

I'M BACK. Working lower on everything but OHP today, but planning on progressing during July :drinker: Squats: 3x5 135lbs Deadlifts: 1x4 155lbs OHP singles: 4x1 65lbs Deadlifts were difficult this morning even at near -20% deload. Need to eat more, I guess!

You're my height at my goal weight! Yay! 145lbs is right smack in the middle of healthy for our height, so I'm going to assume you need to mostly just lose fat, not much scale weight, and gain some muscle. A calorie level of 1200 is not a good idea for having so little to lose. You will stall quickly on your lifts (I speak…

More proof that people are people and get nasty when they get called out. Period. Doesn't mean he's not normally a decent guy, but how many of us are actually likable when someone makes us feel like an idiot?
-
When we're stressed or tense, we often take more shallow breaths. Could it just be a tension thing? I know if I'm not breathing properly during my lifts, things start swimming! Usually it's that or I didn't eat enough the day before my workout.

^^ This. I understand your concern for his health, but it's no different than me telling my 260lb aunt that she's gotta lay off the McDonalds because she's too fat.

I've heard it's just because the camera lighting makes you appear 2D and therefore wider, instead of 3D when you (and others) see you! At least that's what I'm going with!

If you know it's going to be a quick fix and you'll just return to the junk food, why take it? You have to build healthy habits and maintain them to keep the weight off. Unless you're building them at the same time as taking the medication, and that's the purpose of the blog!

Tardis. Go back and check yo'self before you wreck yo'self.

Oops, forgot to add: Look up TDEE, find yours, and eat a bit under that every day. A lot of people on here recommend this site http://iifym.com/iifym-calculator/

Eat 1200kcals - 200kcals = 1000kcals (this is called "net" or the total your body has left to use). A lot of people recommend eating back 50%-75% of those calories burned, because MFP and even the cardio machines at the gym can't be totally accurate. However, it's possible that you can have a higher calorie allowance/net…

Try taking a break from dieting and re-evaluate your goals and dietary needs. Do you actually know your maintenance? Sounds like you're shooting in the dark. You'll have to track weight flux for a few weeks or use a Fitbit-type device to find it. But you need to know your goals. If you want to be more muscular, that sounds…

Estimate your TDEE and eat close to it. Establish a good sleeping pattern at night. Exercise MODERATELY. See a doctor as soon as possible. Don't drink caffeine to combat the tired. I know, I know. I only drink 4 cups of coffee on the days ending in "y" but if I drink more, I crash. Caffeine stimulates serotonin production…

Yes, and she ruined her voice doing it. The song "Let it Go" was too high for her. You can hear it as she tries to get those top notes out. Sad, because it's actually a decent song, IMHO.

I hated it. The plot was **** and the character development non-existent. 0.5 bacon slice / 5 bacon slices
