  • I lost my first 100+ lbs, years ago, without tracking. Then I gained back 40+ of it. Yes you can do it. Is it the right or best way? Probably not. I think of it like trying to build a house without measuring everything accurately. I don't think I'd want to live in a house built that way, doesn't sound stable at all.…
  • Feel free to correct me, because I am still cutting and have more homework to do about maintaining and bulking but....... Would it not be much less of a concern if you spent an adequate amount of time picking up and putting down heavy things while maintaining? This would then more likely result in muscle gain if you go…

  • She scared of getting bulky huh?
  • Never gonna get this song out of my head.
  • ^ I second that! BMR is not a magical number never to be violated. As long as you are getting the nutrition you need and have plenty to lose then going below BMR should be fine. "Plenty to lose" of course is relative. My BMR is 1691 according to the IIFYM Calculator at iifym.com. My Net Cal goal is 1600. I estimate a burn…
  • It doesn't have to mean that you're lying, we're all human and make mistakes right? What did you eat yesterday? How many calories? How many carbs? How much fat? How much protein? How much sodium? How much fiber? How much did your breakfast weigh? How much water did you drink? What has your average per day, per week, and…
  • You will probably get at least a few more responses either with long winded explanations or links to other threads that contain said long winded explanations... While you would definitely benefit from reading through them here are a few quick bullet points that you may find useful... - There are more, and very important,…
  • That clears up nothing... what kind of cheese? how many cals/serving? what are the macros?
  • If you mean for weight loss then I don't know what voodoo you do but I do a deficit because science and stuff. If you mean for health in general, well yeah. Hey, where did the OP go?
  • Haha, ok... guess she didn't say the exact words I quoted and bolded... guess the words themselves don't mean what the dictionary says they do....... that or maybe I just struck a nerve pointing out the implications of such statements since you responded that you "think this planet needs a fresh start as well. ".
  • "leaves a clean slate, just the animals to inherit the planet. " <--- Think that is pretty clear and not at all what the bible says. Boyfriend doesn't seem to be referencing the bible or anything like it at all, just hoping for massive widespread death and destruction that leaves no humans. At least based on OPs…
  • So your boyfriend hopes that you, him, your son, and everyone you know and love dies a horrific death? I wonder what a psychologist would say that that tells us about him? And what it tells us about anyone who would choose to be with him knowing that about him, and to expose their impressionable teenage child to him? I…
  • The mutant offspring of a Lion and a Tiger.
  • I think you got the wrong gif... here fify.... But you really don't need to cry Pika... it's just MFP :flowerforyou:
  • OK... seriously... that was awesome! *slow clapping for Ms Maple* When I was like 15 I thought I'd never want kids... but then I grew up and got over my issues. I don't have any yet but I am very open to the idea. I think a chunk of so called "Child Free" people are dealing with issues and haven't really made a clear…
  • I will never be like him. I will never stop loving that one girl. I will never give up on my goals. I will never leave MFP.
  • I sure have!
  • All good advice above. T25 is also worth looking at. It's great for not just burning calories but can really help get you in shape from head to toe. Balance, strength, endurance, etc. The most important thing is to pick something challenging but that you can still commit to and then keep with it.
  • Both can work... it's not exactly the same but they are similar to positive and negative reinforcement and when it comes to behavior modification a combination of both is considered to be the most effective by many. I get a huge boost from the feedback and encouragement given to me from the awesome people here, but I'm…
  • I do all my own manscaping from head to toe ;) Literally walking away from the computer now to go buzz my head.
  • Yikes! I went there snooping around, convinced I'd discover it was a parody site, a joke, just for giggles... but it actually "seems legit" for lack of a better phrase lol At least the study in the US is limited to people with a BMI of 35 to 55... though it ought to be based on BF%!!!! No, just no! Fail! I've got a long…
  • Would you settle for a banana hamock?
  • Uhm, yes. The person you are falsely correcting made it very clear a healthy deficit was needed. Maybe before you condescendingly correct someone you might want to make sure they were actually wrong first. Just a thought :flowerforyou: P.S. Nobody messes with my sister! @OP: When I was at my highest weight I felt…
  • ^This! How YOU doin?
  • Ice Mountain Bottled Spring Water (500ml size bottles) Thinking of getting some kind of filter instead soon.... ish.
