I liked 3 lb weights, and I have medium upper body strength. You do a lot of combo moves like a squat with a press or a lunge with a bicep curl.

Try to do some light yoga If you look on youtube you can find some videos; Most are short but you can do a few and that should burn some calories

A of of those ingredients are actually plant-derived emulsifiers (notice how the texture isn't like the 5 ingredient ice cream or how it doesn't melt the same?) From what I've gathered, things like that aren't harmful to you. A lot of those plants are similar to seaweed; it's just algae products and tree exudates.

Mix is with some salsa.. it won't be as crunchy, but I love the way it tastes

I'm in college now I was on the meal plan last year, and while I didn't gain weight, I barely lost any even though I was going to the gym 3-5 days/week My downfall was the frozen yogurt and ice cream pretty much every day 0.0 The best advice I can give you is to count calories and limit yourself to one treat per day or…

I've had a sore throat the past week and I didn't count my cough drops, even though I know they add up to over 150. My reasoning is that they have no nutrients, and I don't want to hold off getting better so I can eat what I normally eat. I still lost weight, so I'd say that you shouldn't worry about going a little over…

Do bicep curls with light weights to tone your biceps! Yes, you will build muscle at first, but it's impossible to be toned without muscles. If you do curls 3 times a week or so, you should see more tone without being hugely bulky; that seems to work for me.

Kraft Free Caesar Italian and Kraft Free Thousand Island... the Caesar Italian is really good; the Thousand Island is a little lacking in flavor, but if you want a creamy dressing (I got sick of Italian-type and vinaigrette dressings) when it's a good option.

I can definitely sympathize; My calves are very muscular and always have been. I agree with what other people stated in that once you lose fat, you will see your calves shrink. You may think it's all muscle, but it's likely not. Think about how defined they look when you're not flexing them in a certain way: they probably…

I'm also a PB addict! I have 2 solutions that help me cut some out: 1. Eat 1 tablespoon as a serving. Since the serving size on most containers is 2, I feel like thats what people decide to use when portioning it out. If you just use one tablespoon, that cuts out almost 100 calories, and a little can really go a long way.…

I'm glad some people responded with links and information about the detox myths. While there are some ways that you get toxins in your body, such as eating too much fish with mercury, and while processed foods are not the best for you, there aren't toxins from normals foods that are "building up in your body" If all your…

I pretty much log everything.. The only exception is little bites/samples of something. I know that one bite of cake, one bite of brownie, one bite of chocolate, etc. adds up but I mean this for when it is truly just a bite. If I eat a cookie, I will log it, but if I have 2 mini marshmallows or one potato chip from a…

If you aren't able to figure out the machines and what not, you can always do non-machine exercises like pushups (girly pushups if you're like me and can't do real ones) and use the hand weights. If you look above the instructions, there is usually a name of the machine, or at least what it does, like "overhead press"

http://www.fitnessmagazine.com/recipes/quick-recipes/dinner/30-minute-heart-healthy-meals/?page=6 I made this recipe before; it can probably even be modified to cut more calories if you want, but I was cooking with my boyfriend who isn't dieting at all (because he doesn't need to, the lucky dog) and he likes to use the…

I run down the Greek row and through campus at my college; I usually don't bring anything with me like pepper spray because there are always people around, mostly other students. I always tell someone that I've gone running and hat if I'm not back in 2 hours and they can't contact me, to call my parents, police, something.…

Look for options like grilled chicken on the menu. Chain restaurants tend to have a "low calorie" section, so keep an eye out for that; they are sometimes marked by a little sign, like heart or leaf, and it says at the bottom what it means, so you might need to read the menu closely to find those options. Salads can be a…

Someone handed me one of these today outside of the student center or my university - I didn't have time to look it up, but now I know what it was! Thans for the post! I think it's a great project

Wow, you look great! Congrats on your healthy new you!

I count my gummy vitamins because they're essentially fortified candy..even though I only eat two, so it's only 20 calories or something. If I took pill-form vitamins, I wouldn't count them (I can't swallow those brownish speckly multi vitamins for some reason, I think it's the taste). I would count protein supplements…

Just wondering, why would decaf tea not count as water? Assuming there isn't anything else in it, just tea...

You could not be working out hard enough. I see plenty of people who think working out is 20 minutes toodling around on an eliptical, and they wonder why they never lose weight. You could also be gaining muscle. If you're clothing is fitting better, than the number on the scale isn't that important. You could also be…

I don't know what you are physically feeling in terms of your stomach, but sometimes your stomach can rumble very similarly to when you are hungry when you are actually just digesting your food. A couple of months ago I noticed that no matter what I ate in the morning, about 2 hours later, my stomach would be rumbling. It…

Try metamucil. Even though you might be eating a diet that's high in fiber, having it in a short amount of time might help you. Tea with caffeine also helps, or there are teas that have herbs that supposedly help digestion (I haven't used the latter, but it's worth a shot)

Egg white omelets are tasty and low calorie, I like to add veggies and hot sauce

This summer when I fist started cooking for myself, I had trouble eating all of my calories because I ate a lot of "light" foods and not doing a lot of real cooking, and was eating around 800 a day, not to mention going to the gym for about 2 hours at a time and burning 400 or more calories. I lost weight, which felt…

This definitely depends on your hait type. I have very fine hair that gets greasy if I don't wash it for a day (even if I don't exercise), and if I do exercise (which is the norm for me), then it gets terribly greasy. The thing about not washing your hair is so you don't strip away the natural oils, but if you have very…

I know it's important to eat a good breakfast in the morning, but I have to go to class right after eating breakfast, so I don't like to have a really full stomach and then just sit for a few hours. I generally eat 2 pieces of light toast and some tea and/or grapes. I eat better "energy food" at lunch during my break.
