I log everything, including my peppermint tea (0 calories) and my multivitamin. But then, my diet isn't incredibly complicated.

My husband is a truck driver... gone 70% of the year... so does that count? :-D Welcome to MFP!

How I'd love to learn how to dance!

Do you have a heart monitor to estimate calories burned or are you relying on MFP's estimates? Some people find that MFP overestimates calorie burn so eating back all of those calories may be sabotaging you... as will underestimating calories taken in. Even with a HR monitor, I usually only eat back half. The last five are…

Congrats on your loss! That's incredible! I can see why your coworkers may think that - your face is pale and there's a certain meekness to your posture in the photo. The thing is, the effect exists in the "before" photo as well so I'm inclined to think your coworkers are just being uncouth.

I LOVE root beer, so... I don't keep it in the house. I replaced soda with water and unsweetened mint tea... which is surprising because I've never liked tea. Turns out I only like the minty kind. In fact, I haven't had a cup of coffee in five months, and I was a two-cups-in-the-morning kinda gal. Great thing about hot…

The puppy got into my chili peppers and is literally spraying dookie all over the house. Other than that, it's been a good week :)

Cheese. No contest.

I love Nutrisystem. Lost 35lbs on it three years ago for my wedding and 12lbs, so far, when I restarted last month. Tried the calories in, calories out method of MFP and lost some but found it difficult to maintain consistent results and therefore motivation. On MFP, a beer is 150 calories and there's no distinction…

That gets you only about 10 years with parole. No, to get life you have to kill someone and then plea guilty with a deal. Stress and controlled portions are the reason obesity isn't a problem in prisons.. but if you want to talk about institutionalized food programs, you don't have to look any further than our schools.

This site is likely the reason NS forums aren't doing so hot (I was on NS in 2012 so I've seen a big difference in participation from then). After leaving NS, I found MFP and loved it... and then the month I join back up with NS, the NS forums and logging are on the chopping block LOL No problem, you guys will love MFP.

There is an Anchorage UT. I want to lose about 50lbs too... what motivates me are photographs of me - and how terrible I look at the moment. And my children... wanting to be there for them and play with my grandbabies someday. Restarting can be difficult because you already know you're cutting yourself of a lot of yummy…

Tilapia is a mild fish that I will eat occasionally (not a big fan of fish) plus it's commonly available. Had it for the first time in Costa Rica because frankly it's just about the only thing they serve over there (lol). It was delicious :) I love potatoes, and steak. I just eat them in smaller portions (4oz Top Sirloin…

When I pass someone walking or running in my car... I'm thinking "Damn, I wish I had the motivation!" I felt the same when I started out. Still do sometimes. I deal with it by walking or jogging really early or around dinnertime or taking one of the kids in the stoller and focusing more or less on them. It gets better the…

All of these methods are great, but will only really gain you a week - at the very most. I'll use half of an avocado, and put the pitted side back in the fridge with plastic wrap, using that half within a day or two. I can't stand lime juice in my guac - that's like, a sacrilege. The seed does what the plastic wrap does,…

A pint of liquor is impressive. I know people who do that, and lose weight - but they're also bulimic and/or too drunk to bother eating. Too bad MFP doesn't calculate calories earned by upchucking. Da-dang.

I have found that when people make such nasty remarks, it is because they are insanely jealous of you. You can eat chocolate. I had four pieces of Sees chocolate (Christmas!) last night after a nice long walk and stayed within my limits. It's just willpower, is all. Four pieces amounted to 200 calories - I knew that going…

That sounds like fun :) Is there a link?

I think it depends on your definition of a cheat day. I'll have a beer on a Friday night. A little naughty, but it's not the "margaritas all night with friends" that I used to pull :P I give myself some leeway on the weekends. I lose slower but saner. The funny thing is, I went off the wagon for two whole weeks and my…

There's sodium in everything... that is prepackaged. That's very true. Fast food too. I can't eat at Chipotle without going over my sodium for the day :P With three kids and being a full time student, I don't have a lot of time to cook - so I use my pressure cooker, slow cooker and have leftovers packaged in a way that's…

Well, I am sure I am not saying anything you don't know... But the better you treat it, the faster it will heal... so stay off of it and treat the edema with cold compresses. Elevate in the evening and stay off of it as much as possible. I think sprains happen to the best of us, regardless. It could have been a wayward…

I'm not a medical professional, but I did dress up as a nurse last year for Halloween. It sounds like a sprain. Edema/Swelling.. the heat is just blood flow to an injured area. Classic sprain symptoms. Totally normal to not feel pain while your endorphins are going. You ran, sat down and then it hit you. Nothing…

Sometimes losing a significant amount of weight is like starting a family, traveling as a hobby or rooting for the Cowboys. Your relationships change along with your waistline.

I can relate, I have a hard time eating 1200 calories on some days, and I'm close to 200lbs (5'6"). People always seem to assume that if you're overweight, it's because you're an over-EATER. I've eaten once a day most of my life and it made me literally sick the first couple of weeks I forced myself to eat actual food for…

I just finished W1W2 - so I pretty much just started. But this is my second time - finished C25k in 2011 with fantastic results!

I make my own and it's so low in calories and strong flavored (apple cider vinegar and Dijon mustard lol) that it's impossible for me to use too much without ruining the salad. For stuff like that, I just like to use something that has a limiting factor other than my own raw willpower.

9lbs 5oz And she was out in 6 reps.
