  • It depends on what your type of activity is -- if you are looking for something to track daily routine, like sleeping, general activity level, stairs and walking/running, then it would be a good fit -- I love mine for this purpose. If you are doing a lot of cycling, swimming, weight lifting, etc, it may not be the best…
  • Exactly! The source of the weight shouldn't really matter. I think everyone here wants to feel better about themselves and be healthier. (although mine is sourced from multiple children!)
  • So you want us to tell you not to feel guilty about not eating cake you don't want? Here: Don't feel guilty if you don't want to eat it.
  • Wow, I was really moved by your post. First off, people like you do NOT deserve to be hanged. You have a disease/illness and you need professional help in treating it. While I am by no means a doctor or professional, I do most certainly hope that you get the help that you need (and even sound like you want). If you have…
  • I am not a runner. All I do is walk (although I walk fast - usually 4.5 mi/hr 13:30 min/mi on avg). I also do a pilates DVD a couple days a week. I've lost 42 lbs that way. I have a fitbit and it encourages me to move more than I had been for everyday activity (not really countable exercise).
  • It is absolutely OK to go alone. I, personally, love doing stuff alone like going to the movies. Then again, I have 2 toddler boys and relish any time I get to myself. But I say, if you want some time to relax, it's nice not to have to worry about another person having a good time or making conversation, etc. Go and zen…
  • If you had your baby very recently (like within the last 8-12 weeks), then I don't think you should be calorie restricting below 2000. You are setting yourself up to fail if you're breastfeeding. I breastfed both my kids for a year and didn't even think about restricting calories until they were each 6 months old and we…
  • Really? This is your suggestion -- skip a party because it's at Olive Garden? How else would one learn self control, if they don't practice? They have dishes there that aren't so bad... and the soups/salads that are both pretty tasty and good on a diet. I love their Minestrone... 100 calories for the serving. Olive Garden…
  • this is an almost daily "fight" with my husband... I think he's finally coming over to my Mayo side... miracle whip is nasty and full of too much junk.
  • So I made them that night.... Next time, I'll use a little more pad thai sauce, but I really liked them as did my son (who is 18 months) My husband, however, couldn't stand the texture of the noodles... but I didn't mind it at all. I think I knew going into this that they were going to be chewy, after reading all the…
  • I've been to a couple of wedding this summer and last and it seemed like most people give cash these days anyway.... At least around here. There were a couple of actual gifts, but the majority was envelopes.... I always give cash. I got married 5 years ago and we also got mostly cash. I think it's rude to ask for it…
  • My husband couldn't believe how much sugar was in milk.... He didn't understand why I cut way back on straight up glasses of milk until he saw the details.
  • I am giving the OP's recipe a try tonight... Finally remembered to check my grocery for these noodles last night and they actually had them! I am really hoping the noodles are somewhat decent... I miss noodles!! Glad to hear the hints about rinsing them well... good to know.
  • I use MapMyRun aka MapMyWalk. It doesn't count steps, however. I have my fitbit for that.
  • It sounds gross, but I bet it tastes pretty good... that whole sweet/salty combo. There's a candy store in CA that makes chocolate covered bacon.... Same thing.
  • For sandwiches, I buy Land O Lakes 2% white american slices.... 90 cal for an ounce.... which is usually two slices. It's not my smoked gouda that I love, but if I want a cheeseburger or a turkey sandwich, it works.
  • You said it much more nicely than what I originally had written.... That's one diary I would love to see.
  • Ah, I had a cheez it attack today too! My kiddos love them and I made the mistake of having one... which turned into several! So I can relate to that!
  • Me too... just smaller quantities (like 1/2 a serving)
  • I love to put about a 1/4 of an avocado on some toasted bread in a turkey sandwich. it goes really well together.
  • Oh those Subway chicken things are not 100% chicken. I remember seeing a news story on it once... it's got all kind of fillers in it. Blech. Perdue fit and easy chicken tenderloins, FTW. They take no time at all to cook.
  • I don't think the government has any place regulating these things. If people want to drink them and get fat, they have the right to do so.... but banning it won't solve anything. People will just buy ice cream or something equally as bad. Proper education about nutrition and fitness needs to be taught... but those are…
  • I think you mean "access"? The only way I've been able to do it is to enter it all on mine... and then using diary sharing, I go in on his phone and copy the meal to his diary from mine.
  • I am a believer in LUSH (www.lush.com). I like that they're all natural and made responsibly. A little pricy, but my skin has gotten so much better since I got away from all the chemicals.... I use a toner (Breath of Fresh Air) and a acne fighter (Grease Lightning). I am addicted to everything lush.
  • Thank you for this post... it never even occurred to me to check netflix!
  • "bump" just adds the post to the user's recent threads list so they can come back and review later. and Tilapia holds up really well on the grill!!! I squeeze some lime juice, garlic and salt/pepper and then make tacos or throw it on a salad or something. It's very mild - not too fishy at all.
  • I was in your shoes in February. I had a month-long plateau... and I felt much the same way you are feeling. So I dialed things back a little -- started walking instead of doing crazy elliptical workouts; started eating more of my exercise calories; shook up my slate of meals and foods that I was eating over and over and…
  • I was sad that they killed Lexie off but not surprised... her character was so stagnant this past season... she really didn't have anything going on at all.... She was just a tangent of other people. It'll be sad not to see her anymore... I wouldn't be surprised if Mark doesn't make it through the season premiere.
