I know what you mean now about some days just being icky compared to others... Today I didn't feel to bad, but didn't do much better than wk3d1 - This week will definitely be a repeat for me, but I do want to do wk3d3 next for the story :D Then I will repeat the 3 missions. I liked the humour in Wk3d2 :) I got up to 45…

Seems like you have found your own C25K training program that works for you! As someone working my way through one (week 3 in Zombie Run 5k Training), WOO HOO to you! you are doing great. And I read your 2 runs as you running once, but with a tiny break in the middle? I don't think I would consider that more than one…

You look fantastic as another 5ft2er (I have extra 1/2 an inch though) I adore success stories like yours because it makes things seem way more do-able when you can relate something. Love the hair, the cosplaying, the tees and bubby is too cute! Go be awesome!

I also posted about DOMS and pain I am getting from both starting to run and a couple of days ago doing Les Mills Pump (Challenge - the beginner one) - doing Zombie Run 5K Training and have just started week 3. I am 205lb and 5ft2 and have never run before (ever). I get shin pain that started in my first walk/run within…

i was called "mens legs" in primary school already (grade 6-ish) I remember being mortified at the time my legs are naturally muscular when I am thin... but then in high school, I was told that guys would wait at the corner store for me to walk passed so they could follow behind to check out the legs. that was all a long…

we made quark, feta and cream cheese in class and (1 day) and had instructions on how to make brie using the same ingredients. I have now googled a bit and found this quote 'Homogenization breaks up the butterfat into small globules so they will always stay integrated with the rest of the milk, instead of rising to the…

I read a fair bit about this, and there doesn't seem to be a definitive answer anywhere, other than it happens to some people and not to others and mostly they don't know why. It happens to people who are fit, who are unfit, who are overweight, who are not overweight... blah blah... And some things help some people and…

it may have something to do with the type of milk that is used to make one or the other.... I went to a cheese making class recently and to make cheese you can only use non-homogenised milk (when the milk is homogenised the molecules are broken up to make it easier for dairies doing mass production to give the same level…

Thank you appreciate the input :)

If you are at the higher end of your healthy weight range, maybe you also need to analyse why you want to lose weight? What is it about your health and fitness right now that you are unhappy about? I think we would all be able to have a happy healthy relationship with food if we were brought up in a perfect environment…

There are actually a considerable amount of said peer reviewed papers that seem to be independent that actually state the opposite of what you seem to think they do in relation to trying to lose weight. Scare mongering aside. I actually did read all the papers and a large amount of the referenced papers in the studies I…

I first up have to say I still drink diet coke on occasion, was very addicted, until my partner a conspiracy theorist suggested I cut it out. Just recently I was looking up additives by number in a low fat rice crisp substitute that I bought to snack on at work (wanted the whole salt and vinegar taste) and I started…

Hi I can fluctuate about 5kg around that time (on birth control) not sure when I am not taking anything what the difference is. Here is a member who weighed herself everyday and did some cool graphs and stats http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1098806-newbie-loss-plateaus-and-weight-loss-math-with-graphs The second…

I am sure you inspire even more people than you know, for everyone that says it there are a few that aren't saying anything. Congratulations on your NSV, that is awesome!

Just adding my kudos to you and agreeing with most, there is a dramatic difference. Your skin looks much smoother and healthier, your mid section (even though you didn't have a big tummy) is much narrower if you look at the side on photos. Your butt is even more awesome now, and boy what a great butt! and you also seemed…

Have you tried again? There were a lot of teething problems initially that I think have been sorted out - you can read through the updates on their website. I am training to be Runner 5 - just joked this morning about how I am Runner 2.35 at the moment. I have just finished Wk3D3 of Zombie Run, 5K Training. I have never…

I kicked myself out of bed this morning and sucked it up! Completed WK2Day3 I am going to move on to Wk3D1 on Sunday but I don't think I am going to be able to do a 5 minute run, I tried it out today during my warm up and I think I could maybe stretch to 1.5 minutes, but 5 minutes is not quite in my range just yet. I will…

I would not think of a forklift driver as sedentary... the extreme example of that is a formula 1 driver - they lose a heap of weight during a race, because of having to stabilise their bodies when driving. What you are doing is not the same as someone sitting in a desk. You need a high level of concentration not just on…

Major confession time for me - I had a gastric sleeve operation in 2006 to help me lose weight. It did help, I have a much smaller appetite and it took me about 6-8 months to get from ~100kg to 64kg. I did not learn to exercise. I was restricted to about a side plate of food at a time.... Then I learned to graze... and I…

I've had a bad couple of days mentally and physically and have not done day 3 yet or week 2 - I believe it may be PMS related - I have recently gone off birth control, so I'm not very used to my own cycle yet. I feel weak and down and just generally crappy... I may not have a chance to walk/jog tonight, so will try again…

Lots of people don't get through programs like this for whatever reason. I tried C25K once before (on treadmill at a gym) and didn't make it - I just stopped going to the gym entirely. It's the same with losing weight, if we all just gave up the first time we tried to lose and went off the rails or gained or had a tough…

Way to go on hitting 5km and your 5 min run!!! I do about 3.5km now and tend to walk about 2 mins or so longer than the mission to finish my loop at home. I think I may repeat too if I can't do what is required in the mission. I didn't get up early today so will do mine when I get home. Halfway is pretty awesome!

You are awesome in your awesomeness.... I too am a data nerd in my day job and came to a similar plan as yours the more data I'm collecting the better for me (I am also doing ww so tracking points and calories) But I have yet to conquer the scales in an analytical way (ie to much of a wuss to weigh every day)... And I've…

I'm 5ft2.5 and like many others have never had a thigh gap even at my lowest weight 57kg 125lb at age 16. Not sure its possible for me. I was very active at that age and have more burny painful memories from then than I do at higher weights due to being less active. Normal stockings could probably set me on fire... Lol. I…

I whole heartedly agree on exercise I have been on anti depressants for a long time >10 years it usually takes a long time to find the right one and balancing side effects vs your mental outlook is tough. Unfortunately I have a genetic predisposition and even with new coping mechanisms I just need to take them forever. I…

Congratulations that is amazing! I am currently doing the Zombies 5K Training and on week 2 - Starting from Couch Marathons and never being able to run. I am really looking forward to being able to do my first Race. My goal will be to not walk the first time. Woo Hoo to you!!

I've just started my journey, my first reward was getting a cookbook, then I rewarded myselft this week (sticking to things for 4 weeks) with a barbell, steps, weight plates and an exercise mat. I think I will continue with the weight loss assistance rewards (exercise gear, HRM, new running shoes, etc) and then add some…

That is awesome... seeing the 5 min walk 5 min run for wk3 made me cringe big time, but not there yet! Going to start a new thread for this week. May not be many here now, but it might be useful for future zombie trainers!

Congratulations on your hard work and results. I too am a shortie at 5ft2.5 it's very inspiring to hear your story !
