I weighed/measured and counted everything I ate even if I was going over the calories. Now, I'm really trying to evaluate my triggers for eating. I seem to work better with little goals and steps.

I also use the recipe function on MFP! It has worked really well for me. Just enter in the ingredients and number of servings. I use a food scale to measure out the servings.

Thanks for the encouragement and motivation! Back on track today- going to start tracking my symptoms based on what I'm eating and try to really cut down on the processed foods!

Awesome! I have 100lbs to lose and was diagnosed with Crohns a little over a year ago. I've lost about 16lbs so far but it hasn't been easy and I've been in a flare that last few weeks so my weight as stayed the same and even increased by a pound. :/ What great inspiration!

While having a newborn at home is very difficult I have found that cooking one day (Sunday) and eating all week has really helped me to stay on track. Find a solution that works for you! I cook two big meals on…

I completely understand how you are feeling. I have two young children (2 years old and 2 months old) and I also work. I workout after 8pm when my son goes to sleep for 30 minutes to one hour. My daughter eats again at 9 and then I shower and hit the bed by 10. I really try to view it as "my" time and have started to think…
