It makes coffee taste good, that's for sure. Starbucks is chock full of fat in coffee. Makes it creamy. It won't digest as fast as regular old coffee. The fat does keep you feeling fuller but only a little longer. A little fat is also nice on the elimination part of digestion. All machines need a little oil in the pan.…

Chew some gum.

You all look ten years younger. Just altogether brighter. You can see the energy.

Split peas are dried peas, so more calorie dense and more fiber dense. A split pea soup may have more fiber than plain peas.

My son's in the Navy. He had to overcome different physical obstacles to join but now he's been in almost three years! It's been so good for him. Thank you for serving. Welcome to the Navy family.

I wish I was at NYCC. My current photo is my Predator cosplay at Salt Lake Comic Con. Cosplay boosts confidence and everyone can join in.

Nerdy? My profile pic is my She-Predator cosplay worn in the cosplay competition at Salt Lake Comic Con just recently. Meh, I'm nerdy enough to figure out BBCode to stick the picture in the thread I think.... ...and

It's just not uncommon for girls. You're bouncing around, short urethra. Shrug.

It's not an uncommon problem for women. Especially women who have had children. The pelvic floor muscles get looser, tendons and connective tissue gets looser. Reproductive organs sag. Combine that with with a short female urethra and sometimes you pee a little when you jump, run, laugh or sneeze. I bought a skipping rope…

P.S. As a seamstress, a dress pant usually has a three quarter inch to inch double folded hem. It's possible to let down the pants just a little bit if they aren't quite there. If you instruct anyone doing the alterations to use a facing as a bottom hem, you can let down the pants and still have a hem wide enough not to…

I'm 5'10 with a 35 inch inseam. I found nicer clothes at Chadwicks of Boston. I found a beautiful pantsuit for an event that thrilled me with the fit. Dress pants are near impossible for long legged ladies. I buy long length jeans from Wrangler of all places. They don't have to look western but there is a trend right now…

1 cup hot boiled macaroni 1/2 cup heated canned black beans put this over 2 tbs whipped cream cheese (thin with a little water if necessary.) seasoned with taco seasoning, garlic, salt and pepper if you want it. Add chopped veggies. I like tomatoes and peppers Enjoy. round 400-500 calories and filling. Probably lots of…

Lots of great mexican food where I live. That means lard in the beans and lard in the tamales and lard in the tortillas. If you ate lard all day that's probably bad but a little animal fat won't hurt you.

Butter is not evil in and of itself. The calories for a teaspoon or a pat aren't a whole lot. You need a little oil in your pan to function. I'll save my high calorie tastes as the last bite of my meal. So I might have a roll with butter with my dinner but it will be the last thing I eat. The memory of butter is good for…

Selfish? Sheesh no! It's probably going to be a medical necessity, especially as you age!

When I was having babies I was a tall thin girl. When I'm pregnant my body says it's time to put on plenty of weight. On my *kitten*. I figured it was a good counterbalance to the beach ball on my front. With my third I went from 130 lbs to 215. And all I craved was spinach and fish, I swear to God. I ate reasonably but…

When I graduated high school I was 105 lbs or so at 5'10". Even being this thin, I had a little roundish belly. Not a pot belly but a definite curve outward. You could see my abdominal muscles and below that, the belly. I liked it. (No, I didn't have an eating disorder or other medical problem. Ate lots. Was active. Was…

For aging women, women in perimenopause and menopause, that little bit of fat provides a small amount of estrogen which the ovaries aren't making anymore. There is definitely a balance to be had with that little belly and being a little overweight. Health wise we feel more ourselves when we get enough hormone. Becky

Just say, "I'll consider that!" Then consider it. For about a half second. Then change the subject.

Based on this movie my husband and I tried it. We lasted for five days. By that time I lacked a lot of energy and my brain wasn't functioning well. My thinking was way fuzzy. As it went on it also became apparent that fiber wasn't all there was when it comes to your bowels and some of us require a little fat so we can…

Look her in the eye, calmly say, "Please stop." and then hold her gaze for a little while longer. Then change the subject to something innocuous. Knitting, or sports, or home improvement or shoes. Repeat as necessary.

Ghiradelli dark chocolate squares. Each one wrapped individually. Usually one is enough because it's rich. 50 calories.

Did you know that The Republic of Tea makes a fabulous double dark chocolate mate tea? It's so AWESOME.

You wouldn't believe how many times doctors have asked to check my thyroid and they find nothing. My children are all thin. Same thing. (ETA, yesterday they spent the afternoon sucking down whipped cream from a can. I bought it for a party. Little spazzes.) Becky

I'm 5'10" and was quite naturally thin up until after I had baby #3 when I was 30. Then my hormones went wonky. I could eat what I wanted before. The difference is, what I wanted before was always savory food. Not to say that savory foods weren't calorie dense, but perhaps the things I was craving weren't so devoid of…

Having not read the thread yet, have a recipe for an oatmeal smoothie: Recipe makes one serving. In blender, start with one cup of boiling water. add 1/4 cup oats Let this sit for five minutes or so... Then add 1/2 cup milk 1 and 1/2 tablespoon of sugar (brown or white, basically sugar to taste) 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Then…

Beards are sexy. I'm not sold on the Paleo because I like cheese. But, by all means, enjoy. We use the same shampoo. I don't use it in my beard.

I guess you could call acai a colon cleanse because one thing it tends to do is give you diarrhea.
-
I don't know about gaining weight on it or glucose or sodium...I just know that when I drink soda, especially diet, I bloat up like a Maceys Thanksgiving parade float.

...without having read the rest of the thread...I'll get to it. I'm 5'10" but I'm also willowy. My ideal size is going to be different from other tall women and vice versa. I'm also a seamstress/costumer. I'm here to tell you that the number on the tag means nothing. I've sewn for chubby size 4s and thin size 14s. It's all…
