That's awesome Jenny. You are COMMITTED! It's a good feeling when you realize it. When you modify your wo for injury don't ever let it get you down worrying about setbacks. That's when you know you will succeed for sure because your mind is right.

OK Guys- I got some feedback from my Macro Coach and had a day to talk myself down so I figured I wouldn't leave you hanging. I decided to go ahead and work towards my original plan. I weighed in today at 175.8 so a bit has flushed out and I am up about 3 lbs. Just because I'm feeling a little gross I might go a little…

Hey guys. I'm back from National Realtors Convention in San Diego. Beautiful weather! We had a fantastic time. It was business but we had parties to attend at night. I hit over 100k steps this week on the fitbit but no lifting since Wednesday. I'm headed to the gym this morning. Thur-Monday we ate out 3x a day with a LOT…

Checking in.. Just ended week 6. Lots of data to report this week. Here's the average calories so far. Weeks1-6. 2197/ 2188/2280/2280/2286/2428. Mostly spread out between 5 days with a high day and a low day. Not really planned that way but that's how it seems to work out. I've been a steady weight for 6 weeks. Decided to…

That's great kmac! Glad to hear you are feeling good.

Personally I'm much more accountable being in the gym so I applaud you for being able to do it at home. I previously did p90x and you didn't need too many things to do that and I recall it being pretty hard. One day my daughter was sick and I had to reroute to pick her up at school. I was ready to go to the gym so I looked…

Anything you have will work given the correct intensity and time. Look online, bodybuilding.com, Pinterest for body weight excersise. Chairs for dips you can work on pull ups with a cheap chin up bar. You can use that same bar or a hook in a ceiling stud ( in the garage maybe) and pully system for cables. Look on garage…

I 2nd kmac... Pump some iron!! ;). Weight training supports your metabolism in a major way. I'm 5'7 172lb female at 20ish% body fat maintaining at 2200-2400 calories. Mulling over tipping the calories higher to bulk before the cut in January.

I respectfully disagree. It's about intake vs output. So eating the same or less calories is irrelevant. If you were too busy to eat did your marcro ratio change, did your activity level change? All of that matters. I was down to 1200-1400 calories and wasn't budging with high output but can now maintain my weight on well…

Do you have a thread of your findings after reset? I'm happily doing the reset and seeing I CAN eat much more food and maintain but I do have this big QUESTION about what will happen after. I'm so used to not losing at any deficit. Did the reset result in a successful loss for you after?

That's what I heard on the EM2WL youtube video and also the instructions I've received from my ETP macro coach. DARN... all those HOLIDAYS! Actually the hardest part is allowing yourself to have a little fun because you can but then knowing how to track it?? It doesn't really help if I don't know the exact calorie /macro…

Hi guys, reporting in. I just completed my 5 th week. Feeling good, feeling strong. Seeing new definition in my thighs and arms this month! Gains?? I added my calories and see I'm not doing as good as I thought upping the calories. I'm averaging 2280. I really thought I was 2400 since I hit that or over or close often but…

It's all in my protein powder. Isopure. Not sure what a difference it makes ? I've always taken it.
-
Oh my... Well good luck to you and your family this week 9 months is a long time!

I'm weighing a few times a week and seeing consultant numbers. However, a girl I'm following weighs first thing in the morning every day and divide it by 7 on the same day weekly. I thought that was a pretty good way of tracking it.
-
Yes me too. First thing I did was bread sugar pasta So I'm back to looking at those numbers again. I don't want to undo all the good. That stuff makes me feel bloated and can account for an inch in your waist and a pound or two of water retention i think.

I saw a video once of someone using a pully over a squat rack just using the regular plates. Homemade lat pulls!

Does Apple watch have a heart rate monitor? I've never seen one. I don't think anything could be close without that.
-
Also, have you watched the em2wl YouTube videos and checked the scooby calculator for your tdee? I've combined several plans using some iifym principals too. I Started w Scooby numbers to determine protein macros, then set my goals for 25 grams of fiber and max 80 gr sugar. I'm just thinking you are pretty lean so you…

Are you on Facebook ? Eat to Perfform just posted a great article. " why we don't care what you think you should weigh". You should check it out. I'd suggest you look at their website and read some of the articles. It's free and great info.

This is an honest question! :) At 5'6.5 148 what are your goals? That seems like a pretty healthy weight to me plus you are fairly muscular in your photos. If you had less than average muscle then you would weigh less but I've looked at your photos before and I think you have more than average. Have you had your body fat…

I was pretty much doing exactly what you described as far as calories and long term dieting goes. I bought a fitbit charge HR and it helped me a lot to see where I need to be and my true daily expenditure. It reflects how much effort I put into my workout, if I had a lot of daily movement. Somedays I'd have a really tough…

That said, I'm having trouble eating that much! The last 3 days I'm averaging around 2000 and really full. But I'm trying to eat more often, even when I'm not that hungry. Is that how it's supposed to work? It's hard to eat that much when I've gone a couple of months eating 1600. [/quote] I remember feeling that way and…
-
I guess it depends on what you think you can handle. Do you really not care if you gain some in the beginning, how much would mentally derail you? You could go for your maximum but it might be easier to ease into it. You just had a big jump from 1800 to 2500. I'm not sure what the "rules" are (if there are any) but I…

A pound is 3500 It's probably not a true gain.

Week 2- my average calorie consumption for the last 2 weeks has been 2200 daily. I'm trying to eat them on the day I burn them for the most part. Hitting protein goals, Feeling good and strong. Lifts are good. Weight is the same. Still 172.2/4. It's TOM this week so it's unusual to be stable weight this week so that's…

Just thought I'd give an update of the first week of my 3 month reset. It took me a few days to get my calories up. Just having the freedom made me automatically not feel the desire (at first) to for some reason. (perhaps the opposite of why diets don't work??) I've been trying to hit 2400 daily and still struggling a bit…

I'd say just ease into it. I spent so much time reading others experiences and expecting mine to be the same. Everyone is different, reports of food and activity different ect. After my husband and I got our FitBit Charge HR it really opened my eyes to how many extra calories you can burn between an active moving job or…
