eek! i know how awful those tasty treats can be when they call to you! you're already on the right track by acknowledging your misstep and making yourself accountable for it! great idea to brush your teeth too! i know it's hard (because once you start you just cant stop - or at least that's how it is for me!) so hide the…

hi CM!!!!...i think it's hilarious that you call me January Girl! the reason why i was asking what the negativity was in reference to was because last week there were several new people on here posting about not getting all their cals in and under eating to lose weight faster etc etc, and some people REALLY seemed…

that little "weight predictor" is not accurate at all....after entering all my meals it will tell me "if everyday were like today, in 6 weeks you could weigh 126 pounds"....and trust me - i have been at this a LONG time and am nowhere close to that weight...i am always in a deficit so i SHOULD be losing but my body fails…

i have been on this site for a while and i guess i am very lucky to have never come across any negativity...do you mind if i ask what the comments were in reference to? seems to me like we are all on the same team here and i can't dream of why anybody would feel like it's okay to bash one of their own....maybe whoever was…

before i ever joined a gym or did any type of workout, i walked...i did it 5 days a week for a year and i lost a lot of size...plus i built up my cardio so that when i did join the gym i felt comfortable being in that environment and i didn't give myself a heart attack trying to do those classes...plus it was much easier…

i can show you my fat pictures if you need proof that under-eating WILL put you in fat-storage mode!..when i got fat it wasn't from eating delicious greasy sugary decadent bad foods...i was eating less than 1000 cals a day, working out like a maniac - sometimes twice a day, 6 days a week, and i truly wasn't hungry...the…

you WILL go through a withdrawal period when you're cutting out certain things - your body will fuss and whine at you for a few days and then you'll get over that hump!....i always get mean and grumpy when i want something from my naughty list (like candy or a cupcake) however, the feeling that i have AFTER eating that…

if you go to Stephenie Meyer's website you will find a link for "MIdnight Sun"...it is Twilight but told from Edward's point of view....it isn't very long - only about 250 pages but very good!!! Have you seen the movie yet? i just saw it and i think i prefer the book...it's much more intense! i am curious to know if she lost any weight by restricting sugar....i would love to try to go a year without sugar but it is VERY hard to find foods that haven't snuck it in, in one form or another...maybe if i could just go for a whole year without candy....hmmmm well so far so good! i have already gone 5 days without a…

i have the F4 and have never had this problem...in fact - in my cycle class, i actually take my watch off and wrap it around the handle bars and it picks up the entire time (and even when i get off my bike to stretch)...this might sound crazy but i have actually seen this : are you wearing your strap against your skin,…

too much protein is definitely hard on the kidneys (i don't know the specific amount)...i don't think you can actually OD on vitamin c (unless maybe you ate the entire bottle....you might, however, get pretty sick) but i have read that your body can only absorb 500 mg at a given time so anything over that gets flushed…

i want to be buried with my rice cooker!!!! try adding some chicken broth (or those little cube things) to your water before you cook the brown rice...it is heavenly!!!
-
i would also quit fast food first...if you like to eat on the run/in the quiet of your car, pack a well balanced lunch....also - i think that when you give up your fast food, your soda intake might also decrease (yay!)
-
i get really sick to my stomach if i consume excessive amounts of sugar in one sitting (very nauseaus and want to throw up)....there used to be a time when sugar wasn't a problem but now that i am a healthier eater, a cupcake (my absolute fav!) can throw me over the edge...so maybe your body has made that adjustment and is…
-
sometimes it takes a few hours of goody-sweets-junky-fatty-food-overload to make you sick of the bad stuff...i think it's good to have a few of those days sporadically....for me it lets me give in to my sweet tooth and then it gives me a long stretch of time when i am ok and not having major cravings....1 day of bad for 30…

try giving up one bad thing (like soda) and replace it with something good (like water)...if you do that and slowly replace the naughty things with healthy things, before you know it you'll be on your way to a healthier you!...if you try to do too much too fast, you will feel deprived and you will hate the process of…

An egg white omelet with lots of veggies (and you can ask them to use little or no butter/oil)...split a short stack of pancakes with your friends and order with no butter and sugar free syrup....you can still enjoy food without feeling deprived....my girlfriend and i always went to IHOP and they had no problem making a…

i have this problem on mondays when i am trying to eat 2300 calories..i just don't have room for that much food so i add almond butter to my protein shake (that's an automatic 200 cals for 2 Tbs), i add olive oil or avocado to my meals - again...lots of cals for a small amount so you don't have to stuff yourself…

i agree with nicky! Today is a brand new day and you can change what you eat right this minute. I can remember falling off the wagon and trying desperately to get back on track - it's frustrating and a real downer....this is what helped me...i literally had to take it hour by hour....if i could just make through one hour…
