I've had a couple of dates that were not much fun, but the only one I can say was truly bad (in the sense you're talking about) was my 30th birthday with my then-boyfriend. I won't go into detail because bashing a guy who isn't in my life anymore isn't really my style. But dating in general has not been that bad for me. My…

My ex-boyfriend was on my FL. No big deal. I wouldn't mind having a spouse/SO because I would assume fitness and nutrition are important to both of us and that this would be an aspect of our lives that we would share. I wouldn't necessarily want my family to be on my FL. There are certain things I could not post if my mom…

This. And I especially enjoyed the replies that suggested a man doesn't deserve a wife who stays in shape unless he makes enough money that she can stay home and work out and have plastic surgery. You people are nuts.

I decline most friend requests. My FL isn't closed, but I am pretty exclusive about it. I've been on this site for a long time. I've established relationships with a lot of people on my friends list. Adding everyone who sends a request would dilute that because I'd have to comb through a very crowded news feed full of crap…

I think if you're going to let other people's mistakes and poor decision-making skills determine your path in life, you have no business getting married or having children. I can make this pretty cut-and-dried for you. If you wanted to marry her, you'd be saving for a ring and planning a proposal, not asking strangers on…

If you're in a slight deficit, you will lose weight slowly. If you are lifting heavy and getting adequate protein, it should be mostly, if not entirely, fat, so you should see very gradual changes in your appearance. I would take progress pics once a month or so and measurements/weigh-in every 2 weeks, or weigh daily and…

I crack up every time I see a whole line of cars pulled over on the side of the road with a bunch of babies scattered around, parents snapping away with their smartphones. As they say in Aggieland, from the inside, you can't explain it. From the outside, you can't understand it. But I will say, it REALLY grinds my gears to…

Maybe you need to get out more. I dress well every day for every occasion because I have what must be an extraordinarily high level of self-respect, if the attitudes around here are any indication of the average.

I've gotten some people to try it. Oddly enough, one of them, who lost some weight and then gained it back, emailed me a month or so ago and said she is going to start using MFP again because "that's all I was doing when I lost all my weight ... tracking my food on there." Well golly gee. I'd say she's a convert.

Ice cream has protein, carbs, and fat. It IS nourishing.

My calves are bigger than yours. I'm 5'0 and female. You've got work to do, bro.

Then I hope you also "just have a thing" with fat. If your boobs are naturally small when you're at a normal weight, then that's the hand you're dealt. Your only options are stay fat, learn to love the boobs God gave you, or get bolt-ons. I actually doubt that is the case. It may be the case for your husband, but I like to…

She sounds hideous.

I used a Polar FT7 for a while, despite my initial hesitance to wear the chest strap. If you are used to wearing a bra, it will not be a big deal at all. Don't waste money on something that won't be accurate.

^^ Hehe, you said flop. And carrot.

A big, medium rare ribeye would be lovely.

I thought you were a fruitasaurus! That is all-natural 100% fruit juice!

I disagree. I say this from experience. Some people want it really, really badly. Some people don't want it at all. They want to talk about wanting it. Talk is cheap. Effort is expensive. I no longer expect expensive things from cheap people.
-
So what you're saying is you don't want chocolate that badly. Well this thread was a colossal waste of time.

Your diary says you have 1040 calories left today, without accounting for any exercise you may or may not do. You can't make it fit? Try harder.

I am currently eating roughly 2000 calories a day. I eat 300 or so before 4 PM. The rest, I eat for dinner and dessert. Meal timing means nothing for 99% of people, except as it relates to your preferences and ability to stick to your diet. If you have certain medical conditions or if you're beyond "dieting" and are…

A rower would be awesome for HIIT or even longer duration cardio if you're into that. Otherwise, I suggest lifting. (Starting Strength, New Rules of Lifting for Women, Strong Curves, etc.). I wish I had started lifting from day one. Cardio made me smaller, but lifting is what actually changed my body. And yeah, I second…

Fork put-downs and seated table push-backs.

Really? You want to go there. I pretty much always have on makeup when I'm training (because I've just come from work). I always have on at least a loosely-coordinated outfit, completely with matching headbands and sports bras. I'm usually wearing something I look awesome in (my Hulk and Superman tanks are favorites, as…

Good enough for what? I know how you feel. But I'll let you in on something: quitting is the one thing that will make this process even slower and more infuriating. Wherever it is that you are trying to get, you don't have to get there tomorrow.

Pot. Kettle. How about we all just stop making it our business what other people eat?

Oh, you thought I was serious?
