I do eat my exercise calories. I simply try to net at or around 1200. Sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less. Basically, what is working for me (where other concepts have failed) is that I use that 1200 like cash in my wallet. I cannot use what I do not have. If I want to earn more "cash," (so that I can eat more…

I'd wait until you hit your goal, and maintain that for a while. In fact, I simply don't wear my rings that do not fit. I will get back to them once I hit, maintain, and trust to be permanent, my weight goal. Then, I'll have them resized. Hubby (of 23 yrs.) understands and is very supportive. Lucky me!

I'm a scale junkie. Just can't help myself. However, I only record my weight once a week (same day and time ea. week). And, as long as that number moves downward at all (even if only in tenths of pounds), I am happy. To me, one full pound lost is a true victory. Any more than that, I have to throw myself a little parade in…

That's awesome. I can walk past a closed container, but if I can smell 'em, I"m doomed.

Great program. I never ran before (took the zero in high school all four years when it came to running). This program got me through my first 5K. Addicting! Unfortunately, I've had a couple of injuries, and have not been able to run since. Hope to overcome plantar faciitis so I can run again. What once was a non-option for…

It is all about the calories. If you cannot burn calories, then you need to consume less of them. I suspect, however, that you can burn calories, even though you may be benched from running for now. Heck, you could lay on the floor and wildly kick your legs until you're too tired to continue. Not very interesting, but can…

Hi. Since I've been on a roll, doing well, perhaps I could help with motivation -- or at least to ck in on you. :)

2 min? I'm impressed!

I'm sure he didn't mean to hurt your feelings. He just exclaimed his surprise, thought he should have kept it to himself. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and use that moment as a motivational tool. You'll be okay. Just don't let such a wound cause you to give up. <<<huggs>>>

Easy. Movie Popcorn with PLENTY of butter! Truth is, I have given up nothing. The difference, now, however, is I plan my splurges ahead of time so that I don't go over my calorie limit (or at least not go over by much).

Deciding to take control is step one, so congrats!! And good luck w/ your goals. BTW, even though you may not yet be able to join the Y, you could just walk there and back to begin your exercise routine.

You look amazing! And your story inspires me. Nothing is more motivating than success -- even when the success belongs to someone else. Congrats!!

Does she realize she is being "unsupportive?" I ask because maybe she DOES support your journey, but is just being inconsiderate w/ her comments. Let her know that you feel like you don't have her support when she says such things. She may not realize what she is doing. :) (I could see myself behave the same way. Luckily,…
