No, although high blood pressure runs in my family, I have been very fortunate on that front. My BP usually runs about 120/70, even at my heaviest 60 lbs ago!

I wish it were that easy. I take potassium supplements daily in addition to a high potassium diet; I exceed the amount recommended daily. When I was hospitalized last year for diverticulitis, it was discovered that I have a potassium deficiency. While I was in the hospital they were giving me IV potassium & it kept blowing…

You look great; my suggestion is to ignore the haters! Facebook is more social than motivational, so for support, I would stick with MFP over FB any day! And, I changed the wording on the quote some time ago on my page ~ it now reads "NOTHING tastes as good as HEALTHY feels". I think it reflects my mindset a lot better…

greek yogurt is one of my favorites :love: just for a change from the meats; also, eggs ~ you can microwave them & use them on a sandwich flat for an easy & quick breakfast sandwich. I add a cheese stick sliced up & some jalapenos to mine & go!

Definitely will try this ~ I don't use oil in my baking any more and it doesn't hurt the outcome at all! I actually think the final product is moister! :smile:

I'm in! Week 1 - Goal 360 min Mon 1/30 90 min - Curves Circuit Tues 1/31 60 min - Curves Wed 2/01 45 min - Curves Thur. 2/02 90 min - Curves Fri 2/03 Sat 2/04 Sun. 2/05 Total 285 min, 75 min to go, and I will have that tonite with my Curves workout! Goooooooooo me!! :smokin: .

I will be trying this one ~ I use one of those bagel flats (100 cals) and take a microwaveable bowl the same size as one, spray the bowl with Pam, scramble one egg in the bowl & microwave for one minute. I put whatever veggies or mushrooms on hand in the egg before hitting the microwave, pop it out on to the bagel, top…

You and I gave up soda at the same time ~ My drink of choice was diet Dr Pepper. Drank about a liter and a six pack a day. Don't even miss it in the least! I now drink a large glass of unsweetened iced tea in the morning & lots of water throughout the day. :smile:

this is why I always rent an apartment with washer / dryer connections in the apartment... got my stackable set at an outlet store for only $150. Lisa, The Curves where I work out does not have the Smart Key Program. Everything there is old school Curves ~ so I don't know if the program would have a problem with the number of times I go around the circuit. I would probably go crazy if I couldn't go around as many times around as I do. I guess I am glad my Curves…

Sorry ~ didn't see this question until now! IPod Friday is something my Curves just started doing. If you bring your IPod (or compatable MP3 player) you can share your exercise playlist with the other members while you work out. It is so much fun; last time I stayed for 2 hours because the music was jammin'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…
