I have gained about 6 to 7 pounds so far and I am starting my 3rd trimester today. I started out obese - 5'5" and 190lbs, I am currently 195-197 depending on the day. I exercise everyday and I had my calorie goal at 1780/day. I have been eating most of my exercise calories back. I eat anything I want as long as I stay…

Okay, okay... I want to throw this out there as a licensed medical professional. I am assuming you live in the States. First let me say, I HOPE you get your VBAC as planned. This is best-case scenario. Your doctor is preparing you for WORST-case scenario (and from my POV, it's appropriate)... Your doctor is giving you as…

Me too... 5'5" and started at 190 (obese according to the BMI chart). I have my calories set to 1780. I usually eat most of my exercise calories back. I am never starving and I usually gross 2000-2200 calories/day. I am currently 26W and still attempting to net 1780 calories. Feel free to add me, people. LMK you are from…

It'll probably take a few weeks to come off completely.... (sorry!)

Not on bed rest but wanted to share my sympathy for you!

I gained 50 lbs with my first... I went from 180 to 165 then all the way to 235 by delivery... I made poor diet/exercise choices. I was sooooo edematous my legs were like tree trunks before I delivered because of all the fluid in them. I lost about 30 pounds in the first month after delivery without effort (mostly…

How glorious you are, mama! Thank you!!!

Thank you for the feedback... this was more of an invitation to show off your bump. :flowerforyou:

Lord Jesus, I pray you get that baby out safely! It's time! Amen!

Congrats! I'm 24 weeks. Feel free to add!

I just did the month 6 DVD yesterday... again more shoulder and butt work but this one gives you more variety position-wise. My back was slightly sore today (good sore!) and I felt some oblique soreness too... which is also good. I think month 5 is the most brutal so far...

Very normal. I think later on, the cramping turns into more... pulling and mild aching as your muscles and ligaments stretch (my experience so far).

23 weeks... feel free to add me.

I get the nursing school thing... it sucks. Like... super sucks... the pressure is incredibly high because we're dealing with human lives, not inanimate objects or money (directly)... Just lending a sympathetic shoulder. The only little piece of hope I might give you is that signing "RN" behind your name feels SOOOOO good…

Well done, mama! Keep it up!

Lol - I forgot to answer the main question while on my little soapbox... My husband taught me this one I love it.. "I accept your feedback: right, wrong, or indifferent." You don't need to argue, it's an excellent "shove off" response.

Two things: 1. Congrats on making the decision to breastfeed! How long are you aiming for? 2. There are plenty of ways to be non-offensive and still feed... All of the following is solely based on my experience and opinion. Here are my credentials: I nursed one child for just shy of one year. IMO - I personally don't mind…

I love cow's milk... I love almond milk (all varieties and combinations of, vanilla, chocolate, plain, sweetened, and unsweetened, ... sweet chocolate almond milk is so strange but *delicious* :) I HATE soy milk. I HATE coconut.

Mine is set for 1730... I started obese. I end up eating approx 2000 calories/day (after exercise calories). I did talk to my OB about my diet and exercise, we are on the same page.

I logged a buffet lunch as "buffet" and tried to guess maybe 1300 calories? I hope I overestimated!

I sent a request to all of you, I think. If not, please add me!

I did not have extreme weight loss like you... but this is my second kid. I gained 50 lbs with my first and I solemnly swore to myself I won't gain more than 20 lbs this time. I am overweight to begin with! I am so calorie and exercise cautious compared to the first pregnancy. I thought it was a free pass... turns out, it…

I know where you're coming from! Exercise is SUPPOSED to help with your energy level. I, however, only exercised 2-3 times/week on a GOOD week. Hopefully, if everything goes well and healthfully, your energy will return to normal (or more!) entering your second trimester. You're building a human, that's hard work!…

Seems like sufficient sources of protein to me. Hopefully your palate will open to more sources if that's your desire.
