Perhaps you should see a nutritionist. They may be able to determine how your body metabolizes food and put you on a successful track. Although numbers may not be doing what you would like (and we all know how we like those numbers to go down), you are likely in AMAZING physical shape. So from the interior of your body...I…

Our personal trainer was taught to take the hip measurement right at the hip bone at the front. I used to take it from the widest point, but she says that is measuring gluts. Measure both...if you are like me and want to see the glut inches go down as well!!!

I am told Zumba classes are the way to melt it off! My daughter and I are signed up for classes starting in April. Bought the DVD's for other daughter (who is away at school), and she says they are quite the workout. If you like dancing, this would be the way to go!

 Just arrived back from 7 days in Mexico with my husband. We have been at this fitness pal stuff since the beginning of Jan, so a habit is being formed...but we were on vacation, right?! Well after losing 11 lbs before leaving, I was only up 2 lbs when we returned. What do I attribute that to? Keep busy. Do lots of…

Did you think to take some measurements before you started? If not, do them now. chest, waist, hips, thigh maybe, and calf maybe. Use that, as well as the scale, as I am sure everyone will tell you muscle weighs more than fat and your workouts might just be very effective at creating muscle. don't give up....you will begin…

If you look again at your goal tab....I believe it shows the calories you require to stay the same weight....it THEN TAKES OFF CALORIES to get you to your goal weight. That is the number that shows up at the start of every day. That calorie number is assuming NO EXTRA EXERCISE. So if you exercise, your body requires more…

Remember that the 1600 cal you are allowed has ALREADY been REDUCED from the number of calories required to MAINTAIN your current weight. So weight loss has already been calculated in. As someone says, if you burn alot in exercise per day, you need calories to fuel just that...let alone calories required to get you through…

I agree....the tape measure is actually more incentive for me than the scale. And often you can feel the change in a particular pair of jeans fitting better. I do chest, waist, hips, and calf. I should do bicep as well, but forgot to take that one in the beginning. Years ago, I belonged to a fitness club (now extinct) in…

Not an expert...but I suppose listening to the pros...do the weight loss slowly and steady. Exercise - both cardio and strength. And hopefully the combination will give your skin the best chance at regaining elasticity and not leaving you with the excess. I guess it might also have to do with how long we carrry our excess…
