Hi team. I am back now from my wedding and honeymoon and I will be getting back in the grind this week. It will probably take me a few days to get caught up on everything, but my numbers this week will be much better. I am trying to avoid reading too much in the forums because I am 2 episodes behind and don't want to…

Hi Team! I know I haven’t had a strong presence, but I am doing my best to remain mindful of my team commitment. I was proud to be an MVP for my team in the first week. I won’t have the best stats this week, but I will post Saturday night (Oct. 25). Just a reminder to my team and my team captain that I will not be posting…

quick question... I went over my calories yesterday. :( When we answer yes or no about staying in our calorie range, is that every day or a weekly total or X number of days a week? How do we compute that?

Gosh that drove me crazy the rest of the episode!!!! I hate it when such a great show makes such a big obvious mistake. I agree with whomever suggested wall sits as punishment. I think it goes well with the "being trapped in a train car" theme as well. Today I am going to be loading cars full of canned goods for folks…

Yay! Another zombie slaughtering hippie!

I just recently decided to love myself. I realized that by hating myself, I was being a self-absorbed negative person. It's a shame that I wasted nearly 40 years being an egocentric debby downer, because I'm really pretty dang awesome.

This is a big struggle for me as well. I'm on iron every 12 hours. I chew ice, but with the cooler weather setting in, that's not always the most pleasant option. I recently got a hot air popcorn popper. Hopefully that will help with crunchy munchies while keeping calories down.

I have no opinion on the OP whatsoever. I just want to marry the person who said this:

Congratulations! I know exactly what boat you are in. I was just there. I even asked my doctor a similar question and was told "You can always lose weight, but your lungs will never grow back." (or something like that. I don't remember verbatim.) I've been smoke-free a month now. I had quit for 4 years. I started up again…

Hi intermediates! I am on team Michonne, because I love her bad-assery. Carol would be my second choice. A few things my teammies may want to know about me: Although I'm a long-time member of MFP, this is the first time I have participated in a challenge or joined a group, so I am still learning how to navigate around…

Intermediate Michonne please

I'm in! But.... I am getting married November 1, so I might be a bit lax the week prior to and after that. Is this something that can be worked around in any way?

Hey now. Don't be blaming sociology. Some sociologists are good decent people who don't buy into the popular bully/victim dichotomy of American existence and expand their scope of research to include topics that fall outside Marxist conflict theory. :flowerforyou:

Yay spinach! We grow organic spinach in our garden and we will literally just pick leaves off and munch on them while we are out there gardening.

I grow my own stevia plants. There are multiple uses. The leaves can be used fresh or dried. The stems can also be used. A stevia stem tied to a rosemary stem provide a very unique taste when used as a skewer through foods on the grill. We grind up the dried leaves and throw some in homemade herbal teas. Once brewed, it…

I usually say I’m a flexitarian. If someone asks additional details about it, I’m happy to have the conversation, but most people don’t seem to care. I never feel defensive though when other human beings casually ask me about myself or my habits. That’s what humans do. They talk to each other about things. :flowerforyou:…

One of the best things for PCOS is exercise. I know the typical saying here at MFP is that diet is 80% of weight loss and exercise is only 20%, but when considering PCOS, getting that heart rate up for 30 consecutive minutes a day (at least 3-5 times a week) is essential. It helps lower sugar levels, increasse insulin…

I am about 100 pounds overweight and when I jog I resemble an injured penguin wading through peanut butter. I’m probably about that speed also. I occasionally get harassment and jeers but I also get encouragement. Most of the cheers and jeers go unheard because I’m so wound up in my music. In all honesty though, I’d say…

Hi there. I also took a vacation from MFP and have recently returned. Let's do it right this time :)

Hello from your Buckeye neighbor. What part of WV are you in? I'm right across the border in Ohio & have lived in WV several different times. Beautiful countryside. Feel free to add me.

I like the way I feel when I can jog. I know it sounds silly, but I get in this almost "zen" zone when I can jog. I'm not good at it yet, but I'm hoping as I lose weight I will be able to do it more. I haven't felt any pain in my knees or other joints, but at my weight (217) and height (5'2") if jogging is harmful right…

I have a few spare tires if you need them. But really, it's not such a big deal to make mistakes. My holiday weekend was a complete self-sabbotage. *shrug* Just move on. Learn from mistakes. All that happy jazz. :flowerforyou:

I've been on Metformin for a few years. 2000mg daily. I have not seen any decrease in appetite, nor weight loss related to being on it. :flowerforyou:

Anyone here is free to add me. I'm much too busy (or lazy) to go through the thread and actively put out friend requests, but I do accept all that are sent my way. I do like kale, but I follow it up with hot dripping loaded nachos. Sometimes I put kale on my nachos. I probably won't read your diary, but every now and then…

I'm in the same boat. My highest was 252 and I cannot seem to bust out of the 200s. My thoughts are with you!

This thread completely hit home with me! Anyone on here who feels the same way, feel free to friend me. I'll be somewhat supportive sometimes in exchange for others being occasionally supportive on occasion!!

I'm known in my small town as THE crazy cat lady! I adopt all the strays. We have 5 inside and about 10 outside. Neighbors even bring me boxes of kittens. I love them all :) Feel free to friend me. Can never have enough cat loving friends! :flowerforyou:
