Both of ours lock but it's not a bit deal since we use the same unlock code. There are a lot of reasons to lock a phone especially if there is a chance of losing it.

Yes, there are no secrets between us.

I've seen arguments for the side that any liquid counts as your water content but there is something to be said for drinking plain water. Drinking plain water causes your body to release retained water (aka water weight) while flushing toxic waste from your body. I personally choose water as my preferred drink paying more…

No you aren't alone. Certain folk for whatever reason feel they have the right to be nasty, snarky and downright mean which does translate quite often into attacking others. There's three choices for those who want to enjoy the forums without having to deal with the negative. You can report the member (link under the…

I weight daily when at home. The choice how often to weigh is entirely a personal one unless you have been advised otherwise by your health care provider.

I use: daily- Runtastic Pro, Runtastic Squats Pro, Runtastic Six Pack Pro, Runtastic Sit-ups Pro, Hot5, Sworkit Pro; All of these apps feed seamlessly into MFP three or more times a week - GymGoalFree; All but GymGoalFree feed into MFP so I enter that information manually. occasionally - MapMyWalk with uploadable…

I disagree. Certain styles of food choices get labelled all the time and clean eating is no different. If someone tells me they are eating Paleo, a more restrictive form of clean eating, I immediately know what foods they aren't eating. This is very useful to me when entertaining. If I'm looking for a way to zip up the…

Whether you think Paleo is silly is a moot point. If someone wants to eat Paleo, they do not need to justify their choice to anyone. The same applies to eating clean, eating dirty or eating upside down! Many have reported that eating clean helps them lose weight. The reason being, whole foods tend to be lower in calories…

OP asked the question then disappeared from the conversation. Seven pages later and still no sight of OP so I say...congratulations OP on a well played troll :drinker:
-
No one here, on this thread, is telling anyone to eat clean. No one but you mentioned yogurt. The OP asked what clean eating is which is the only reason why some clean eaters are responding. I cannot speak for others here but I certainly do not tell anyone how to eat, what to eat or anything else with respect to 'their…

You are missing the point. Here is an article right on MFP addressing some of the fears regarding processed foods. http://blog.myfitnesspal.com/2014/07/are-your-food-fears-founded-by-science-or-social-media/ Whether you like someone's dietary choice is a moot point. Whether someone thinks sugar is the devil is a moot…

For us, home processed is fine but not commercially processed foods with the exception of a very, very limited list of foods. Some clean eaters will include a larger list of commercially processed foods, but still very minimal at that. Even then there are other criteria any commercially processed food must meet before we…

I said I never considered calculating the caloric value of home baked goods. I now have software so can do so but it was not really a thought until a couple of months ago. Small Mom & Pop bakeries seldom calculate the nutritional value of anything they bake. They will indicate if a certain item is gluten free or contains…

If you are jogging and weight training three times a week, then you are not sedentary. Your activity level should be set to lightly active or active. You want to lose 34 lb so you can set your weight loss goal to 1 lb per week but once it gets under 20 lb to lose then re-evaluate and set to .5 lb per week. Losing weight…

It depends on the person and in what context. Most times I simply ignore the statement or question, moving quickly to another topic which gets the point across that my weight is not up for discussion.

Why should the bagel store know the calories in their bagels? It's a bakery that makes bagels. If you buy breads, bagels or other baked goods from a bakery there is no nutritional label and chances are excellent they have not even considered calculating the nutritional value. I have made homemade bagels, breads and other…

Quite a few clean eaters here DO NOT preach against processed foods or what you perceive as 'imaginary' health superiority. Just because someone says they are eating clean does not imply anything with respect to your diet. In fact, I truly believe a lot of the problems revolving around the mention of clean eating here is…

No, I'm here for me. Period! MFP can be as social as you like. You don't have to have friends and many like me choose not to. You don't have to have an open diary. You don't have to participate in the forums. It's all about using the tools MFP provides to help you on your fitness journey. For some that includes losing…

I think you are right. Well I don't spend time in a gym on a regular basis (no gym membership), I do spend time of fitness routines, walking, cycling and hiking. When I'm not actively engaged in a fitness activity, I am still quite active. I have that luxury though. Others do not depending on their job where they may be…

I agree! Some like to push the diary issue regardless of the fact that having a closed diary is a personal choice exercised under the terms of MFP's privacy policy. Why some are so concerned with what others eat is a mystery. I suspect the real reason they push certain members to see in their diary is merely for judgmental…

Hi Kimberly. There are a lot of clean eaters on MFP. Some like myself bow out of the deliberate clean eating threads because of the drama they create. Unfortunately starting a thread as such is often viewed as trolling. Good luck on your journey to a healthier you :drinker:

I didn't give up anything.

Losing 5 lb in one month is right on track for healthy weight loss as long as you aren't trying to lose vanity weight. A few things might be happening. Are you eating enough to support your work-outs? Exercising 7/7 is going to cause exercise burnout. Your body really needs at least one day a week for repair. Give yourself…

I can't advise on a juice cleanse and by default if you are drinking juice it really isn't a fast. I bought a Bella juicer a year or so ago to enjoy fresh homemade juices. My number one complaint is cleaning it but otherwise my juicer does a nice job. Fresh carrot juice is delicious!

Personally, I would go with NIH information but here is more information that does indicate treating the candida is recommended when dealing with mutation http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/mthfr/

That does present a challenge. Pretty much everything I was going to suggest has carbs. Even peanuts, sunflower seeds and tofu have carbs. Dark leafy greens have very, very low carbs but the carbs are still there. Here's a link that might give you a few ideas http://www.livestrong.com/article/16430-eat-carbfree-diet/ You…

As a male, I believe the lowest you should be at is 1,800 calories per day. Your problems likely are a direct result of being too low over a period of several days. When I was actively losing, I did not eat back my calories unless on the rare occasion I was very hungry. My calorie goal was initially set at 1,200 calories.…
