Last semester, I had morning classes. I was on campus from 9 am to about 3 pm. Afterward, my sister and I would sometimes stay out paying bills and running errands until about 5. I had a small breakfast. If I didn't, I'd be famished (one of the classes was a PE one), but other than that I wouldn't generally eat until…

Oh boy, i know where you're coming from. I was disillusioned, to be honest. Suddenly, everyone was treating me differently. In most cases, nicer. In many other cases... more flirtatious (not exactly the word I want to use, but I'm sure people get the drift). The former should have made me feel good, but for many reasons…

I think it's common, and I think your post hit the nail on the head for why. Many of us use food to deal with underlying issues. A lot of us, also, assume that we have those issues because we are overweight. I don't know if this is the case for you, but it is common. When we then lose the weight, we realize the issues are…

Combination of things, I think. I think a lot of it is based on stereotypes. There's this stereotype that overweight people are always insecure, and have few friends. There's, also, the stereotype that they're often friendly as a result. When I was overweight, a lot of times, people assumed my sarcastic remarks were me…

Stop being so hard on myself, and also try my best to listen to my body's hunger cues. Evening's are hardest for me, too. Evenings are usually the point where I either don't feel like eating, or want to eat all the foods.

Haha  I get 'force fed' a lot. I have mixed feelings about it.

I like my sad boobs. Then again, I'd prefer to not have any at all. lol The thing that sucks the most about losing weight, in my opinion, is the loose skin. You can't see it with my clothes on, but I know it's there, and it drives me crazy. Also. Clothes. I have a closet full of clothes now. In varying sizes. From xmall to…

Hope all turns out okay.

Yes, never play around with heart pains (says the person that doesn't go to the doctor as often as they should, but I definitely do when the heart is involved). Don't be afraid of the bill in this case. The one problem you should always go to the doctor for is heart pains. I have twice now. The first time, it turned out to…

Exactly why I doubt it, too.

Can you give us more information? I know a lot of people have asked, but they do have a point. It could be a number of things. Are you eating enough? Restricting calories too heavily can cause things like dizziness and headaches. Even restricting to 1,200 (the amount generally recommended by MFP) can be too much of a…

For any men or transmen wanting a guy's perspective or just women who are curious about how they affect men, Nothing was a good read. I don't remember the author.. but I found it on Amazon. It's about a boy struggling with bulimia. A Trick of the Light is, also, about a boy and deals with anorexia (can't remember the…

So, um, hi. I'm Benji. That's the name I prefer to go by, anyway. (I'm transgender, not completely 'out', though. Hence why some pictures don't suggest that I identify as male. But I do) Please never call me anything but. In fact, I rarely give out my birth name online as I feel uncomfortable being called it. I'm 23, I'll…

As someone who dealt with binge eating and emotional eating at separate periods of their life (and for a little bit, at the same time - but mostly separate times) I guess I'll try to explain why I think I was (and kind of still am) obsessed with sweets. To say that this is the case for everyone would, I think, be a…

Not all women. Although, magazines would have you thinking so.

I've, honestly, always seen it as just another thing magazines do to tell us what to wear. My measurements never really matched up to any of them. So, where do I fall?

GOD ME TOO But the pizza I bought today has cilantro. And I didn't notice it had cilantro when I bought it in the store. And I got home and saw that it had cilantro, and I wanted to cry. Because I don't like cilantro. Cilantro is the devil. And this is the second time I've done this. Why are people putting cilantro on…

How much you have to eat to both lose and maintain will depend on a variety of factors. Activity level, weight, height, sex, even age. Someone with more weight to lose, might be able to lose on a higher intake. My mother steadily loses at around 2000 a day, whereas I maintain around 2000 a day. Someone more active can…
-
She said recovered, so she probably needs maintenance. Which would likely be around 2000 (give or take), but you're probably right in assuming way more given that she is on a horse in her picture. So, I am guessing highly active (I have some riding friends on my list, and they easily eat around 3k a day). OP, You are…

I, also, like to dance sporadically. That technically counts as exercise.

I use Jessica Smith (her videos are on Youtube, plus she has a website), as I find her personality to be more motivating than many people who do videos and just... stare at you lol Jessica Smith almost makes me feel as though I'm actually exercising with someone. Sworkit is, also, a favorite of mine. It syncs with MFP (in…

It really, really does. I've had my 'new' body for longer than a year now, and I still have moments where I forget what size I am. People asked me a lot around Christmas. My response every time was like "I don't know. Xsmall, small, or medium". They're reply was "That's a pretty big range... which one?" lol But I really…

Not if you're like me and yourself is a jerk. B) I think that it could be a case for some, but as another poster has said: Correlation does not imply causation. Indeed. I am the furthest thing from interested in any physical relationship, yet I desire to be fit. I don't give a rat's behind whether I attract someone or not.…

I think the most common answer will be 5. I think it largely depends on person. I suffer from digestive problems related to past disordered eating. As a result, my weight can easily fluctuate by 10 lbs. It sounds crazy, but I have literally seen it jump that high after not... er, being able to 'go' for a week or so. As a…

Sorry for typos, I'm on my tablet

2 to 3 days? That's it? I can go about 2 weeks sometimes. Yes, constipation and problems with regularity are very uncomfortable. Try more fat, as has been suggested. Do NOT tru more fiber. Too much fiber has the opposite effect. If invreased fat intake doesn't work, see a doctor. It could be a digestive issue.

This post, pretty much. My mom has been stressed over holiday gains, too, but she is letting it go now that I explained this to her. The holidays are a time to enjoy yourself. It sounds like you enjoyed yourself well. Now, you can resume your dieting or maintaining plan, and things will go back to what they were. I doubt…

I don't think that's exactly what they're asking. Sure, it weighs the same regardless. But removing the excess skin does remove an insignificant amount of weight (such as 5-10 lbs, maybe more if they lost more).
-
Heh. That means I probably have about 5 lbs of it. Which, to be honest, seems about right. I lost about 100 lbs, and I do have loose skin. It's not noticeable at all unless I bend over in a belly shirt or something. I know it's there, but most don't. But it does feel like about 5 lbs of it. The most I've heard someone…

Spinach dip is pretty good. I definitely second that one. I'm personally not a fan of hummus. Tried it once, and just tossed it out. lol But it's at least worth the try. You could, also, use typical dressings or dips. A lot of people really like ranch. If you're worried about the calories adding up fast, they have low…
