Mine was to be less cynical about my job, lasted to midday 1/1/14! Seriously, I'm working towards being ably to cycle and hoping my knee is going to continue to heal. Plus, just for today I am willing to give up old ideas that don't work.

I work regular night shift. Going into days off I can be awake for 24hours. Midnight is the magic hour for me. 2400hrs - new day. Works for me. I can go a bit hungry mental towards the end of a long period like that and sometimes the best thing is sleep rather than ravenous eating.

I've been where you are at, just don't give up. Keep trying, plan a pancake meal or something. I have weight loss meditations I listen to most days to help me with stress.

For me - I feel emotionally empty and a bit sad when I am in all sorts of situations and I don't overeat. So thats what I am hiding. Over-eating is or was an act of self-love/ comfort gone mad.

Its calories in calories out. a glass of white (120mls) has between 80 to 120 cals. a nip of vodka has 65cals. beer has around 150 in 330 mls (approx 12 floz) bottle. Binge drinking is bad for you but you just do the maths its all in the data base.

I'm 54. Menopausal and MOTIVATED. Motivation is everything. My L knee reminds me everyday to be motivated. I weigh and log every thing. Cause I just don't know how much I need or how much something weighs unless I weigh it. I can't exercise too much because of my knee but I am losing. Weigh and log everything. It works.

ALL of the above (mainly) Goal weight is a lovely number to reach however maintaining that number requires an understanding that the smaller the body (weight) the less calories needed to maintain. So if you're going low work that maths.

This smart persons seems to have covered it all. (above) Just try using the goals page factor in some information and see how you go. Weight loss is predominantly diet. If you are on steroids for your illness, it will make it more difficult, but don't give up. Baby steps!
