Yeah I second the YouTube tutorials. If you are rooming with roommates they can help you out. Baking and anything involving the oven is the easiest but I started cooking on my own in an apartment away from my family this year and I felt cooking was really not hard at all. Just make sure you do not use sharp knives directly…

You can find protein in SO MANY FOODS that's not meat. I personally am not a veggetarian but I am always reading the lables on foods and tend to find a lot of bars, cereals, etc with high protein. Like there is a cereal called Special K Protein and its low on carbs also. You can always add a little protein powder into your…

Buying eggs whole and throwing out the yolk is significantly cheaper! You think its a waste of eggs but trust me I do that all the time when I want egg whites. Its just a little extra step but it works. And that way if you just buy the eggs whole you can always easily switch to having real eggs when you just wanna splurge…

I may be a little on the strange side but I love snacking on pepperoni slices! They're super easy to buy/find in stores as a package of them. I get the Turkey pepperoni slices (taste the same to me!) and they are only 70 calories for 15 slices. If I have a lot of calories free I will sprinkle cheese on it and microwave it…

I love making my "200 calorie pizza". Its a low carb or low calorie tortilla, 1/4 cup of any pasta sauce (although it tastes better when you actually buy the pizza sauce that you normally find where they sell pizza crust at grocery stores), shredded chesse, and pepperoni slices. about 10-12 minutes in the oven at 350 (just…

Exercising in my opinion is more of a way to keep yourself healthy and to maintain a good metabolism. It's not necessary for weight loss but you see better results faster (that stay off) than without exercise. So if you absolutely cannot do any activities then I wouldn't necessarily worry about it. However, if you're knee…

I use one of those "couch to 5k" apps on my iOS device. It's so great becuase it builds up your endurance without having to be winded out or sore from too much at once! I also enjoy those dance games like Just Dance or Dance Central if you have a wii or an xbox. You can always do those home dvds like the above poster…

I am hearing some buzz that soy is actually not even that good for you. Almond is the truest form of non-dairy non-carb-y milk that does taste for the most part like real milk (except you just get an aftertaste of almonds). I drank 2% my whole life and I actually prefer almond over soy after recently trying the two. I get…

Two words: Zucchini Noodles Replace your pastas with zucchini. It has the same texture if cooked right and gives a little bit more flavor than normal pasta actually. Even though cheese is an easy no-carb option for snacking, I love almonds or sunflower seeds. I typically make taco salads (just no chips) and I easily find…

Also the Elliptical! I had a knee injury from soccer a couple years ago and my knee hasn't been the same since. I also love riding my bike but I feel I get an overall-workout with the elliptical

I was hoping nobody called me out on this, I accidentally posted this to the wrong thread and after getting replies I just left it alone.

Yeah I rarely eat salads... I love low carb/low calorie tortillas and then I use those to make a turkey wrap. And for dinner sometimes I use the tortilla as a dough and put ragu sauce and then sprinkle shredded cheese and bake it to make my own pizza.

Dannon Light & Fit non fat greek yogurt. SOO GOOD and filling.

Yes. I know myself to be a salty over sweets snacker. So because of that I snack on sweeter stuff such as fruits/yogurt. I avoid nuts, although I will occasionally dash some seeds on my food but man my cravings skyrocket if I have nuts alone so I just avoid them and opt for the Dannon Light & Fit greek yogurt. Much more…

Since I'm still on the weight-loss track I can't completely answer your question... But what I have always thought about this situation is that it's not 100% about being "physically attractive" which helps you socially but the confidence that you gain with losing weight and being healthy that people become attracted to. I…

Thank you guys for the replies! Yeah I agree (and the thing is, I'm not just eating a whole bunch of veggies...). Its really my fat and carbs that get used up real quick and I'm really low in my daily consumption of protein so maybe I'll see about adding more calories into that. And probably making myself just work out…

Yeah I actually have Michelina Lean Gourmet! I only say Lean Cuisines because they are kinda the same but more known... and I just needed an opinion on the "healthy" type microwave meals. (and yeah I get them a buck a piece which is so cheap for a convenient alternative).

This makes me worried because i normally eat 1,000 cals a day. I normally cant reach that 1,200 goal unless i increase my snacking which i just forget to do. I just feel like if i start increasing now i would lose weight much slower but i guess that may not be the case?

I would absolutely avoid the unhealthy options as much as you can... For me i break my diet when i have the mindset of "oh just one little bite for taste" and then i have a taste and my cravings go through the roof and i convince myself this one time i can have a burger... With cheese... And bacon... If only unhealthy…

Yeah it is a major cause of "water weight"... If you have eaten too much sodium without knowing i would just increase your normal intake of water to balance it out but i would avoid consuming too much... I like that idea of buying low sodium soups (but i bet they taste awful anyways). I stopped eating soup when i started…

I have 38DD as well! Yeah i have specific sports bras that are surprisingly supportive. Just make sure you buy ones that hold all ur boobs while still allowing the band to wrap all the way around snugly underneath ur boobs. It HELPS with the jiggiling but theres really no way to stop it completely. I also like to workout…
