Mmhh perhaps it makes you burn an extra 4-5 calories a day? ;) If there was a fat burner on the market there would be no fat people lol ;)

^^ you obviously don't get the struggle not to have food in certain moments...

Proteins make you feel satiated better than carbs. If you can control your appetite, why don't you? And then, veggies. Yes, they are carbs, but they are low in calories, rich in water and fiber. Again, important in controlling your appetite. Sugar, and a particular combination of sugar, salt and fat well known in the…

I don't know any meal planner app, but there are several websites where you can subscribe and the send you emails with recipes for dinner on a weekly basis

get a food scale

of course you can lose at 1600 cal. it all depends on calories in/calories out. but if you were not losing at 1200 you weren't logging accurately, or didn't do it for long enough.

the easiest way is to buy a pedometer. they are pretty cheap. check your phone. you might have that function already, or download a free app. the next step up i guess would be a fitbit one. it's brilliant as it calculates how many calories you burn in 24 hours if you stick to sitting, walking, running or climbing the…

you are doing all the right things. keep going and be patient. also, ignore the bullies on the forums. not the best place if you are looking for support.

For me the main benefit is that it tells me how many calories I burn for given day, helping me to eat at a deficit. You receive a weekly email with the record of calories in and calories out too. That's all what matters to me

never heard of unreliable scales... what's wrong with them? my mum had the same one for.. dunno.. 30+ years?? i bought mine with my ocado shopping. so far so good.

it happens to me too, mostly if i go many hours with not enough food (tipically when i work till late) or when i am upset, but sometimes on regular days too. as some other people already said, make sure you don't arrive at dinner hungry, so you don't lose control. try to plan your meals and log as you go, so that you…

I eat as much as I want as long I have less calories than what the fitbit shows ;)

nobody has ever lost weight in 1 week. despite what who wants to sell you expensive magic potions says. you are very ingenous
-
9 weeks? my dear, you gotta be healthy for the rest of your life, not for the next 9 weeks. or at least that's how i see it.

thank you ladies! it's really comforting to know i'm not alone! :) i'd love to have you among my friends if you'd like to have me among yours ;)

27 hours in a office? what did you do the next morning? did you go home when your colleagues clocked in? or did you sleep on your desk??

what's wrong with fruit? it is way more satisfying and filling and lower in calories than anything else. my other options are carrot and hummus, 30 g of full fat cheese, greek yogurt, oatmeal, protein bar, a cuppa and a few biscuits. nuts are good too but so high in calories and i struggle to stop! but hey, a green apple…

sounds like you are underestimating the calories of what you eat. weight your food.

it might be quite hard in the workplace. some people are just nasty. try to avoid them if you can. even harder with family/family friends.
