Well done!! My Sister in law did her first (& she swears last!) marathon on Sunday too. I'm thinking about doing a half next year sometime.

I've won a few things over the years....a Wii when it first came out, a dozen or so smaller prizes from magazine competitions (baby related stuff usually) a modem recently in one of those wind tunnel machine things that blow paper up for you to catch. Husband won a playstation 2. Just today I won a "grow your own sandwich"…

This.....also if I drink before I run (other than a sip or two) so I make sure I get plenty of fluids in during the hour before I run, stopping at least 20 minutes beforehand.

No coffee or alcohol......not the lifestyle for me!! :o

Shiny new ticker :) November starts tomorrow for me (live in New Zealand) but wont go for a run until the 2nd.

I know what you mean!! I had a mini freak out at the idea of running for 20 minutes during C25k.....now I do an hour (give or take a few minutes depending on which route I take) and finish with a smile!!! I'm doing my first 10km on the 30th November and looking for a half to do next year (that doesn't cost an arm and a leg…

I'm going to repeat my goal from October....100km. I have my first 10km at the end of November :) All things going well I should pass the 100!!

It's a good feeling isn't it? I've stopped wearing an oversized t-shirt when I run now and I don't feel self-conscience anymore!! We have worked hard to get to this point, so we should feel proud!!

Thank @fabnine!! I had a forced rest day today (pouring rain.....and I do not run in the rain!! ) and my leg is feeling back to normal. I can still make my goal for the month...I'm so close I'm sure I can knock it out in 2 runs!!

I generally struggle with eating when I have a cold  I will eat whatever I can get down in the quickest time with the least amount of effort! I actually prefer to drink my food when I'm sick so a lot of soups (usually the instant kind if I have any) and coffee!!

5'2" here! Start weight was 65kg (143lb) and my goal is 55kg (121lb) but I'll see how things look and feel as I get down closer to that weight. CW is 60kg (132lb). My current fitness goal is to start training for a half marathon!! Doing my 1st 10km race end of next month, then working towards the half

It is a pile of calories with almost no nutritional value and a butt load of sodium.

Well done everyone who is close to or at goal for the month!!! I am forcing myself to have another 3 day rest to try and sort out my thigh....I clearly did something to it running with a pinched sciatic nerve :(

2 people this week have told me I am looking slimmer!!! I didn't realise that anyone except myself and my husband could see the difference :)

When I first started logging (on my old account) I nearly died when I found out the calorie count of Couscous :( I love it, and was making big roast vege or fresh vege salads with it and having them for lunch everyday.....until I started logging!!

That's what I was thinking......is a single pack 36g? or is it 93g? (as stated on the right of the picture in the link)

Today I ditched the baggy oversized t-shirt and ran in a tight fitting racerback singlet!!! And I didn't feel self conscience at all :)

It's MY time! No talking, no having to deal with others (except a smile and wave at others on the trail) my thoughts can run through my head uninterrupted!!! And I can listen to what ever music I want!!

THIS!!! The fact you can run 10km is awesome!!! I ran my first 10km the other day and did 1 hour and 8 minutes. You will get a big range of times.......longer legs, longer strides, more time running!! How much you weigh....so many different factors result in different times!
-
Me too!! My husband has suggested me running with a friend.......Oh hell no! I run to get away from people!! I am literally running away from social contact! I love doing my exercise by myself :)

I average net 1400 calories and it has taken me about 5 months to lose 5kg. I am only 5' 2" tall, 37 yrs old and I only have 8-10 kg to lose so it is a bit slower to come off. I run 3-4 times a week (up to an hour) some weeks I throw in some circuit training on my non run days.

Never had bubble and squeak with any meat in it! It is usually a mash of leftover root vegetables....potatoes, carrot, parsnips, turnips etc, sometimes cabbage. Mash up last nights vege with butter and milk and serve....or you can mash and fry in a frypan to give it a crunchy outside! I'm from New Zealand :) We do a lot of…
