  • 10/50 Congratulations! You have a perfectly healthy relationship to running. Be thankful the cold stiff fingers of running aren’t clamped around your still-beating heart…for now. It could turn into a very unhealthy relationship though.........

  • Hi everyone! I'm Kerry, I live in Wellington, New Zealand and have 4 kids.(7.5 yr old twin boys, nearly 6 yr old boy and 4 yr old girl) I started the c25k program a year ago this month (completed it in 12 wks due to school holidays, illness and a twisted knee :frown:) I wasn't pushing myself for much of this year.....could…
  • I'll join in!! My goal is 100km (62.1miles) 2/9 - 6.01km 3/9 - 6.01 5/9 - 6.01 7/9 - 4.12 22.1km so far 77.9 left!! I'm aiming to increase my weekday runs to 7km and my Sunday run is normally 5.4km.
  • No, I still do the same exercise and for the same length of time but I do feel pretty tired by the end of the day (more then normal) My cramps disappeared after having kids so that certainly helps!!! And exercise helps with my PMS!!!
  • I have 2! I am now running 6km (3.7 miles) as my standard morning run (plodded along at 4.5-5.4km for ages) and have just mapped out a 7km run to try next week!! I completed c25k earlier in the year, but haven't been pushing myself hard enough to get past the 30 minutes. I was doing 20-25 min runs and felt fine, but as my…
  • Congratulations!!! I started c25k a year ago this month (took about 12 wks to finish due to injury/illness) it feels so great to be able to say I a) finished it!! and b) can run 5km!
  • I only run outside! At first I was a bit self conscience but I put my sunglasses on (can't run without them!) pop in my earphones and off I go! I run after I have dropped the kids at school, so plenty of people I know see me......I have had so many positive comments! It doesn't matter what other people might think of…
  • My Grandmother said something similar to me....from the age of 8 until we moved out of her house when I was 11. She constantly told me I would get fat thighs if I eat this or that. Thing is I was tiny, had the "thigh gap" (due to bowed legs!!) you could stick a fist through and not an ounce of spare fat on me!! No one in…
  • My story isn't as bad as some in here, but at the time it hurt a lot. I was always very slim, was 49kgs (108lb) when I feel pregnant with our twins (am 5'2"). That pregnancy stretched me out so badly....throw in a c-section and my poor tummy was a saggy baggy mess. I gained a huge amount of weight (31.5kg, 69lb) but lost…
  • Personally, I just move on. I had a bad day calorie wise (cos honestly the food and drink was awesome!!:blushing: ) it happens. I stick to my calories the next day, drink a bit more water and try to do a bit more exercise. What is the point of stressing about? This is a life style change you are making, the occasional blow…
  • Well it's not the holidays fault you want to eat and drink so much. 11,000 calories in one day just because it's a holiday......what will be next weekends excuse??
  • Congratulations!!! I remember being so worried about the 20 minute run, no way I could run that long without dying! But I did it and I was so excited and pleased with myself. I have completed the c25k program and now run at least 3 times a week for 25-30 minutes and I love it and look forward to it. Keep up the great work…
  • And now I realise this is an old thread!!! :blushing: Nevermind, I've finished wk 7!! Next run is 28 minutes!!!
  • Oh dear......I seem to have killed the thread!!! BUT I am excited to say that last night I ran for 25 mintues!!
  • So I have just completed week 5. I had looked forward on my app at what was next but didn't look at all 3 days....each one is different!! Thought I was repeating 2 x 8 minutes....... Today I ran 20 minutes non stop! I feel amazing! I ran at 10am for my last run and struggled so much with the last 2 minutes due to the heat…
  • I joined this group to ask this exact question!!! I'm on week 5, next run will be day 2. I was looking ahead and am shocked at the big jump in time and am curious how people found it.
