  • I'm pretty horrified by everything going on really, and disappointed in our "civilised" society. Bring out the army and the water cannons and it'll soon shut them up. I'm also horrified by the soft-line stance that appears to be advocated by Theresa May - I don't believe violence should be used unless provoked, but these…
  • I tend to have a yoghurt (protein) and some fruit (carbs) for breakfast during the week about an hour after rising - I can't face food immediately so I eat this at work. At the weekend I have something a bit more exciting, eggs with seeded bread or pancakes made with cottage cheese, eggs and oats. About an hour before…
  • I found the old program decent and with the new program it was far too many calories for my small frame and height (I'm 5'0''). I'd advise you just to calorie count and cut the crap, you don't need to join WW or follow their plan when MFP is free (and easier than doing an outdated plan, if you go for the old plan) :)
  • I have these, and yes they do tend to fluctuate quite a bit! Wait til you start using the body fat, then the fun will really begin >_< I find they measure my body fat a lot higher (at least 5%) than what it is.
  • Pizza Hut, Yo Sushi. Bella Italia and Cafe Rouge also have a few healthy options for under 600 calories. Enjoy your meal!
  • Can't wait for the new mmo.
  • Thanks for sharing McKay! And to those of you saying you gained weight on twinkies and lost weight eating fruit... well all I have to say to that is... DUH. OP has clearly stated that fruit is not the enemy, but too much fructose is bad for you. And fruit has fructose. So... yeah. I personally limit my fruit intake and try…
  • Use brown or at the very least, egg-based pastas ( as in the pasta made from egg, not pasta served with eggs), they're lower GI, higher in fibre and will keep you fuller for longer.
  • Ohhh I read about this. For a start, I'm amazed if she is actually 16 >_> Secondly, she looks like she's on something.
  • I have this book! I try to eat clean but I don't really stick to it 100% (maybe about 50-80%). Try the bodyism pancakes, they're delicious :)
  • Thank you for sharing - although I knew pretty much all of the nutritional info (although I too have a slightly higher protein intake), I had no clue about what / how much to supplement, so thanks for that XD
  • According to your profile, you don't have much to lose. Provided this is accurate I very much doubt you're burning upwards of 500 calories.
  • oops it posted twice
  • [sic] Amen! I do see some people logging cleaning, but I personally don't. I'd rather get a tiny boost to my losses by not factoring it in.
  • Bear in mind that the less you weigh, the less calories you burn for the exercise you do, than somebody 50lbs larger doing the same exercise at the same intensity. As you don't have much to lose (judging by your graph on your profile), it can be quite difficult getting those numbers up. Aerobics, spin class and Body Combat…
  • that is *awesome*
  • My main meal for the day is going to be a turkey, red pepper and broccoli stir fry with some brown basmati rice.
  • Your body is probably adjusting to your new lifestyle. Keep at it for another week - don't change anything apart from maybe watching your sodium intake. If you're having a lot of fibre, make sure you're having a lot of water to push it along (sorry!). And hey, bikram yoga! That's intense and I'd love to try it! Sadly the…
  • Yes, he was rude and insensitive, but sometimes men don't know how to sugar coat it. That said, my boyfriend wouldn't dream of hurting my feelings like that because he knows how sensitive I am about my weight. But people are different, and maybe he was just trying to help in his own strange way. OP: If you want the dress…
  • Speaking as somebody with bipolar, he probably feels crap enough about it, and unless he's a douche, I doubt his apology was a result of him not finding somewhere to stay - he probably felt too embarrassed to apologise sooner or that the incident was too fresh. Turn the other cheek and just try to ignore it. If he's not…
  • IT'S STOPPED ! at least up here :D shame it couldn't have stopped when i went to tesco at lunchtime and got drenched going through the carpark!

  • I have exactly the same problem. I just have to accept that when I drink, I will overeat. I've tried everything - saving calories for the after-drink pig out, drinking less and the only thing that has worked calorie-wise is NOT drinking unless I'm drinking with a meal.
  • Clarifying a few things: due to requests (and the fact that the challenge is about pushing yourself) - cleaning doesn't count. The Challenge will run from SUNDAY TO SUNDAY so that people can simply edit their burn by goig to the exercise tab after their last workout on Sunday, and use the figure for the week from MFP…
  • No, you post your weight with your calorie burn at the end of each week - there'll be a separate topic at the end of each week with a spreadsheet for you all to input, or you can just post it in the thread at the end of the week if you prefer.
  • I would say about 1000 - coconut curry sauces are very high in calories and often incorporate cream too. Chicken korma (an Indian dish that also uses coconut milk in the curry) is generally around 800-900 calories in a restaurant, and that's without rice- Indian curries use a lot of ghee / butter to cook with, but your…
  • 1100 is not enough, which is why it's not working for you this week. A week of non-movement isn't a plateau.
  • who starred in Mrs Doubtfire with Robin Williams, who was also in
  • I'll see if they have that! I've reserved something called Brolene - does anybody have experience of it?
  • I agree that you don't have to be *thick* everywhere, but I don't believe your shape can always be altered. You can't spot reduce (although apparently Rafa Nadal has one arm with less BF than the other, don't know if that's bull though as I heard it from my sister), but eventually the fat has to go from where there is fat!…
