You can definitely still lift and workout while pregnant. Just don't go extremely heavy or wicked high intensity. The better you take care of yourself during pregnancy, the easier it will be to "bounce back". I wish I practiced what I am preaching...

omg. this is the funniest thing i've ever seen

Just signed up for my first one too so I'm in for the comments. Unfortunately, I don't have much to add though. The one I signed up for is all women and the website http://www.irongirl.com/Events/Webster.htm#axzz2zkZkm2rh has some good information regarding training, nutrition, setting up for transitions, stuff like that.…

I'm at 1200 as well! I haven't been logging great but just got back on track this week. And FYI, according to IIFYM, my maintenance is 1430 and TDEE minus 15% is 1216. I am sedentary (have an office job and commute 3 hours per day) and log my exercise (cardio only) and eat back my exercise calories...most of the time...

Done. Got my water in too. I have no idea about the steps though. I'll configure my pedometer eventually. But I did run about 4 miles so I'll just assume I reached 10,000 steps.

Yup. Got my first one of the season today. But when I was younger we used to do the same thing and yell random stuff out the window to whoever we saw running/walking/standing/sitting/pretty much whoever we passed. I don't pay attention to any of it.

I'm Denise, been on MFP since December. I'm 29 (30 in October). I'm engaged to be married next year, have two kids (4 yo boy and 9 mo girl) and work full time. I'm looking forward to this challenge as I'm not al that motivated on my own. I don't have a ton of weight to lose, and I'm hoping to meet my goal (losing 15 lbs)…

Yea sorry I was there but got there late and pretty much registered and went straight to the starting line. It was a good course. It's the first 5k that I wasn't wondering when it was gonna be over. The only "hard" part was dodging all the walkers that lined up in front of the line!

So see you Sunday?

I just signed up for it!

I'm here.....I know I'm not that active, but I'm here!

I don't think this thread mentioned anything about gaining fat, just gaining weight. Meaning the scale is up, by any means....be it water, fat, muscle, unshaved hair, longer finger nails, etc. Just saying. On that note, up five pounds since Friday!

Go to the Spartan Race website and sign up for the Workouts of the Day via email or their Facebook page. They vary everyday from cardio sprints to tempo to strength training to flexibility to rest days to pretty much whatever. Definitely a well-rounded plan.

I'm just gonna go for it and do the Worcester race. I haven't run in over a year and this race will probably be my first time running this year since I really don't feel like running in the snow....Although I will be running rogue because the two races I signed up for put me over my racing budget for the year. At least…

brownies. mmmm......brownies.

The race in Worcester on the 9th looks fun. And it's right before the parade so it can be a family event too. I might run that one if others are. I can't really swing the registration fees for any races in March through May, so I may have to run rogue...

Unfortunately I have a "gala" to go to the Saturday before St. Patrick's Day, so I'll probably be hungover...

I'm Denise from south central MA, born and raised. I'm not a huge runner, although I have completed a few 5Ks and mud runs and a 10K in the past. I recently had a baby girl (almost 7 months ago) and I haven't been running since the beginning of my pregnancy and I'm looking forward to starting again. Hopefully this group…

I graduated high school in 2002 and quit cheerleading the year before that. I recently joined a gymnastics class and did a back handspring all by myself on Monday! It was a total confidence booster
