I lost weight after leaving home for college! Even though I was on my hs swim team and worked out daily, my family has TERRIBLE, "southern" eating habits. So much fried food, starches, fast food... My little brother and I both lost 30+ our freshman years of college. When I started logging for the first time I realized I…

Yeah this is awesome! CW: 150 GW: 144 I'm going to a snobby family reunion with people I haven't seen since I was a chubby kid, so I would love to look as fantastic as possible :)

Wow that's awesome!!! I feel so inspired :)

I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 17 and all I've really known was that the doctor told me to take birth control (which really has helped tremendously). So glad I saw this thread. I eat a *ton* of carbs so I'm going to try cutting back and see how I feel....

THANK YOU. I sometimes get a rash if my clothes are too loose. Sweat + rubbing fabric is so gross. Also, another thing - to me having sleeves at all is really gross when I'm sweating a ton. It's like just armpit waterfalls. Tanktops = avoiding armpit sweat ponds. Tanktops DO NOT mean trying to please men.

Also for the love of god, maybe some women enjoy attention for how they dress, but tighter clothes are more goddamn comfortable. Loose clothing rubs against my skin and feels really bad. Men: women are not thinking about you 100% of the time. Not all of their decisions are about you.

It doesn't bother me to a certain extent. I honestly stare at a LOT of people male or female if they're really in shape because I want to see how they're working out! But if you're really obviously giving me that up-and-down look or trying to get me to notice you staring at me, it makes me extremely uncomfortable. It's not…

BMI is lame because if you have a lot of muscle, like my boyfriend, you could be classified as 'obese' when you're really in shape. It's ridiculous! If you can, figure out your bodyfat percentage. Otherwise, just see how you feel! I honestly think BMI is only a good measure for people who are at a dangerous weight and need…

That's terrible, it sounds like he needs a better doctor who could coach him on gradually eating a normal amount of food. It sounds like the problem was never his weight.

There's this place by my office that makes BBQ breakfast tacos and holy sweet mother of god they are delicious. I get corn tortillas because they're supposedly slightly healthier, and I actually like how they taste. And eggs, potatoes, avocado, grilled chicken and BBQ sauce and I'm not sure if that sounds appealing but it…

TOM is definitely a huge factor. Also, when someone starts off eating a lot regularly, and bad foods, your stomach literally expands, and your body starts to crave those foods. Some of it is just going to be breaking the 'habit'. For me, even eating too much over a weekend etc. leaves me super hungry the following couple…

I am 5'10", weigh 148 lbs, and buy clothes anywhere between size 6 and size 12, depending on where it fits tightest. If it fits tight around the waist only, it's more like a 6. If it fits around the hips, 10-12. I do not buy clothes online lol

So jealous haha. I'm 5'10" and there were a lot of people who didn't notice when I lost 30 lbs.

I think what you really need to do is see a nutritionist or a therapist (both would be best!) :) And no need to feel ashamed about that, your feelings are (unfortunately) normal, I've definitely felt the same way. I would try, in the mean time, to focus the obsession on things like making sure you get all of your nutrients…

I can only see one... but I feel really motivated to lift weights now :)

I'm 23 also!! I'll definitely add you and anyone else feel free to add me as well :) I'm an intern lol so I don't actually have health insurance yet but... also a good reason to not have health problems! ;) My current goal is lowering my bodyfat % :)

Pretty sure the company that makes Vibrams just had a class-action lawsuit against them for foot injuries, just a heads up. The whole minimalist/barefoot running thing might not be a 100% good trend.

Definitely go to a different doctor. Sometimes people have to go to several different doctors before one of them can figure it out!! Sadly doctors are just people too lol :( Are you taking any supplements? I think a lot of pro-weight loss/pro-muscle building supplements have caffeine or other stimulants in them!

About 175 ~

I went to the doctor to ask about Celiac, and I had already stopped eating gluten for a month (or maybe more) at that point. I eat it very, very rarely now (it makes me sooooo gassy it's so embarassing....) and I really don't want to eat it again for a long time or have a colonoscopy... And I can eat like.. one sandwich a…

My mother had to have her gallbladder removed maybe 30 years ago, but she hadn't recently lost weight (so I'm not sure the cause of her gall stones). She got sick a lot because of the gall stones and lost weight because of that, however. I'm concerned because my "stomach" has been extremely sensitive more and more. It…

I did competitive swimming for 10 years growing up and I'm just now getting back into it!!! (Didn't do any swim training during college, although I did teach swim lessons.) I totally feel you. I was SO out of breath at first but I'm getting back into it surprisingly quickly. Anyone who sees this should totally add me :)

My friend who I think has the most AMAZING body told me she can tell I've been working out/that she's jealous. It's superficial but felt amazing.

Plain tea (you can make it hot or make a bunch and ice it!) Water "infused" with fruits/mint/lemon (you can buy special bottles for this, like from Blogilates, or just get a big bottle and put them at the bottom) As a meal replacement - make a fruit smoothie! With greek yogurt and protein powder. There's also juicing,…

What the people on my swim team did growing up was put their lock on backwards. We had to like backbend or duck down to unlock it, but that way nobody could watch over our shoulder to see the combination.

I do all the time... to the point that it makes me uncomfortable. Like sometimes it's not creepy, really just a guy looking to meet someone, but usually it's really intimidating and extremely disrespectful. I think it's because I'm young - so I still go out downtown and to bars fairly often, and I LOOK shy. It's hard for…

I'm 5'10" and 148, wanting to get to 135-140 but I've never had very much muscle. I'm hoping to gain muscle so my goal might not e as low as I think :)

French fries!! I think they are my favorite food of all time. I love them even more when they have stuff on top of them. I cannot be around them haha I am like a ravenous wolf

"bachelorette" I CANNOT say that word. I don't know what the problem is but it's the hardest word to say in the English language.
