Here are a few of my favorite vegan recipes: Pasta: https://yupitsvegan.com/vegan-one-pot-creamy-garlic-pasta/ (I add a few tablespoons of nutritional yeast and lower the oil to only 1/2 tsp and swapped onion powder for the shallots) Soup https://www.theroastedroot.net/vegan-corn-chowder/ (I reduce the oil, about to 1/2…

@Tracie_Lord you have the whole week 1 to give your starting weight. So you can just give your starting weight on May 4th if Friday is your weigh in day.
-
Just 3 days left for anyone who wants to join! Anyone who has been sent requests to join the group don't forget to accept if you haven't already :)

@boehle There are no "Leaders", maybe I'm not explaining myself correctly. The trainers are just the names of the teams but there will be challenges that are based on those real trainers, such as their actual workouts they are known for. Hope that clears things up a little more.

@Reanna143 I've sent you an invite to the group you just need to accept it. https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/126666-waist-away-8-week-challenge

@FranPhillips5 @boehle The trainers are basically like team leaders. Right now we have 45+ people that said they would like to participate. Those 45+ people will be paired off then those pairs sorted into teams. These teams will be named after their “trainer”. For example if the trainer was Bob Harper (which none of the…

This sounds interesting. Not sure if I fully understand, but I'm excited to participate. I want to get healthier overall, not just lose weight. I think this challenge will provide that.

May 1 will be the official kick off of Week 1 where everyone can post their starting weight. You have the entire first week to post your starting weight. There will also…

I would love more friends on here! Almost 80 lbs to lose!

You should try the app 8fit. It creates a workout plan for your fitness level and goals. I've been using the free version for the past 3 weeks and really am enjoying it.

Hey, my name is Melissa. I'm from Elgin, New Brunswick in Canada. I've been overweight most of my life, well more then overweight. I was horrified to learn that I was not just in the obese category but the Obese II category. I hold a lot of the weight in my midsection making finding clothes that look good super hard. The…

Yay congrats everyone! Just a question. We go by % for individuals so that it is fair since one persons 1 lbs is different the another but by that logic we should be doing it for the entire teams as well. I ran the numbers from last week and this week going by percentage lost and this is what the results should have be:…

Luckily I have no allergies. But I prefer treadmills over stationary bikes simply because I have a hard time convincing myself to keep exercising and with I bike I tend to quit since I am powering it but with a treadmill I keep think "Well I can do 1 more minute" I don't run outside ever but I live near my brother now (who…

Yeah Pink team. I hope everyone did well this week. I still haven't managed to get up the gusto to exercise. I think my problem is that I love to run but I can go outside to do it right now because winter in New Brunswick is crazy! And I do have a treadmill but since we didn't have enough room in the house it ended up in…

Team PINK! Starting Weight: 214.4 lbs Current Weight: 212.6 lbs Weight Lost: 1.8 lbs Proud of that considering the last weigh in was from Wednesday, not even a full week ago. NSV: - I put on a dress I wore a few weeks ago that was tight on my stomach then. Today is just glided down my stomach without clinging to it…

Hi, not sure what you've been eating but they types of calories you put in your body are important. Not all calories are equal, 100 calories of fried chicken may make you gain weight were as 100 calories of veggies will make you lose. (might be a bad example). Make sure your carbs are from whole grains not white and watch…

Christmas seems to be a very common time to get engaged. I got engaged Christmas eve 3 years ago and a few girls who went to high school with me got engaged at the same time. I didn't like the idea of a long engagement either at first but I was only 20 when we got engaged and we had only been together for 2 years at the…

Hello, I'm 5'2" and almost (just 3 more weeks) 24. My starting weight last Friday was 221.8 lbs. After my first week of eating healthy I've lost 7.4 lbs, which puts me at 214.4 lbs. And I amazed to say I didn't exercise to get that loss. Show how bad I was eating I guess. I'm in another group that is a weight loss support…

I like the idea of the percentage. Because 1 lbs for someone could be the same as 5 lbs for another when it comes to percentage. I don't know if you plan to calculate each one with a calculator or what but her is a site that will do the calculating for you:…

Hello, my starting weight was 221.8 Yesterday I weighed in at 214.4 (lost 7.4 lbs my first week go me!) so I guess this would be my stating weight for this group! Oh and I am 5' 2" in case you need my height.

Hi my name is Melissa. I'm 23, I'm be 24 in a couple of weeks. I've been over weight since I was in grade 6 after a traumatic verbal bully related incident left me with no confidence or self worth. It wasn't until a few years ago when I met my fiance that I finally started to heal from it. I'm ready to become the person I…
