You're weird as hell... But, I'm right there with you. Pulling a size XL shirt out of the dryer and thinking what the hell happened to this shirt, it must have shrunk. Then I put it on and it fits the way it should, but my mind is still telling me I need a 3XL... Oh yeah, it takes a while to get your head around it...

Not offended but sometimes curious, especially when it's someone that you seem to get along well with. Lets face it, we're all just an image on a screen and a handful of electrons floating around somewhere so how can you get offended because some other electrons delete you? LoL

I use a $30.00 digital scale from Walmart, keep the batteries fresh and it's very important to have it on a stable surface IE; tile or concrete. Any movement or flex will cause variable readings, I pull the batteries and clear it about once a week just so it doesn't gain a memory.

It seems to me that you've answered your own question. If your head isn't in the game then why bother? You have to be able to dedicate yourself to the idea of losing weight and maintain that idea, otherwise you're just wasting your time.

I'm consuming around 2000 per day +/-. I use Wusthof, for the money I find that they're hard to beat. I like the look of the ones you pictured, the Damascus look is cool, I'm not sure about how the handle would feel but it looks very nice.
