I'm incredibly prone to outer ear infections caused by headphones, and I find the only ones that don't cause that problem and stay put consistently are the cheapo Gummi headphones from Walmart/Kmart. They also last a LOT longer than the more expensive brands, at least for The Mister and I.

Holy crap, my cat weighed in at a hefty 14 pounds at 7 months! (And, he only eats cat food, no treats.)

My HRM shows that I burn more calories on the elliptical than the treadmill. I also push myself as hard as possible while on the elliptical, with a few brief moments I'll slow down to change songs on my phone, or something like that.

Do they make YOU fat? No clue. Do they help keep me fat? Sure as heck do. Why? Because I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, which affects insulin resistance and makes losing weight a b*tch most of the time. I still have a hard time committing to a low-carb lifestyle (though I do it once in a while when particularly…

I'm in Montana. And slow as hell. But, I'd participate.

This is my intention. Surgery scares the crap out of me, but having boobs I don't like scares me more.

I absolutely loved my Patagonia Tsali 2.0 - I currently have a pair of KSwiss Cali Tubes, but they haven't seemed to hold up as long.

Yup. I have both PCOS and hypothyroidism, and take levothyroxine for the thyroid (which has some crappy side effects for me), spironolactone, and metformin. The combination of levo & spiro brought on long-lost periods that metformin didn't for me. I also had TERRIBLE digestive problems from the metformin, until I started…

I'm still confused.

A really quick Google search turns up this, from Discovery Health: http://health.howstuffworks.com/wellness/food-nutrition/healthy-eating/pre-and-post-exercise-eating-tips.htm It's absolutely personal preference and performance. I can't eat before working out, because otherwise I get terrible acid reflux and end up…

Awesome job! And, here you go:

Holy crap, you would hate me. Not because I wear perfume to the gym, but I wear Soapwalla Deodorant Cream because I have some issues with cysts caused by regular deodorants. It contains essential oils, including lavender, tea tree, sweet orange, peppermint, and bergamot, so it's quite scented. Should your asthma, which is…

I, too, am in the "just 5 minutes" group, but I push myself longer by alternating between "well, you may as well finish this mile," "now there's only 2 minutes until you get to 20 minutes!," and "hey, this is a good song! you may as well finish it out." By the time the song finishes, I'm back to one of the others, and…

Actually, they do have an issue with pictures like that in an ad, even if you pay for webspace.

You probably should understand ALL the facts before making claims like that. Her picture was fine - as her profile picture, posted on her own wall, whatever. The problem arises when she tries to "promote" the image, which effectively makes it an ad in that it's a paid for post guaranteed to show up on more walls than…

The chili sauce has more sodium than the meat. Reading comprehension is helpful.

I spent quite a bit of time working for Subway, including -BAKING- their bread... because yes, in fact, their stores DO bake their breads. Also, it's pretty uncommon for whole-wheat bread to not contain any white (or bleached) flour, because it turns out too dense and tends to not rise properly at all. To make "real"…

I find that I lose more than it says I should. I probably also underestimated my activity level. Also, I don't see why it would be hard to make "every day like today" - because your calories, in theory, should be pretty similar consistently. O.o

Oh, I forgot! Cardio will make you fat, there's no point in doing it at all.

From a personal trainer (we share a mutual friend, I don't actually see her, thank goodness): Shakeology and Beach Body are the only things that will work! I tried (insert every other possible method of weight loss here) and I just kept gaining until I did this! From my sister: Paleo and juicing. Those are the only healthy…

I used to not eat breakfast, ever - and I lost 40 pounds lost year. (I updated my ticker the beginning of this year, which is why it's not reflected.) Now, I eat breakfast at work - but that's because I'm not ever entirely sure what time I'm going to be OFF work, and by the time I eat breakfast I've usually been at work…

I have a Polar FT4, which is really basic, but I love it.

You should not net below your BMR. Your BMR is the calorie level needed to keep you alive without any activity, at all. Your TDEE is flexible; your BMR is not.

I'm currently a 22 or 24. Ideally, I'll get down to a 12; even when a healthy weight I've got some hips, so nothing smaller fits. :P

I can't wait to be able to say the same. Just a couple more years!

Random stranger stopped to help get our car out of the snow, where The Mister had got it stuck 20 minutes previous.

I'm planning on doing the same - probably just a lift, though, since during this adventure I intend to have/breastfeed a baby or two, too, so I'm fairly sure I'll need it. :P
