@Alissakelly I'm offended because I don't know why she is smiling.

I don't usually do ad hominem... But you Sir are impressive in a special sort of way. Everything you say is more or less a non sequitur to my arguments, and the context in which I present them. This quote comes to mind: It's 01:22 AM, and I am going to copulate with my beautiful girlfriend. Good night.

Where are you getting all these strawmans from? Please read my post more carefully before you post a response. I never called Francis Collins "Dumb". He is very unscientific in at least one of his conclusions about reality, this makes him intellectually dishonest. Which (as you should know) is the opposite of intellectual…

Einstein was indeed quite fond of quoting "God", but he did it only as a poetic metaphor. Here is an English translation of the letter sent by Einstein to Eric B. Gutkind, on January 3, 1954, a year before Einstein passed away, sent as response to Gutkind's book “Choose Life: The Biblical Call to Revolt”. You are making…

You are not going to tell me that Albert Einstein was a theist now are you? Because I can assure you, he was not. And even if that was the case, it would be completely irrelevant. Because appealing to authority does not give any credit to your argument/position.

If a person claims to have knowledge about "god", or "his" existence: This person is delusional, intellectually dishonest, and (most likely) dumb as ****. If a person asserts the logical Non sequitur: "god exists because science can not disprove the existence of god" (i.e. an Argument from ignorance / negative proof): This…

Welcome to MFP Elle! Damn, I have always had it easy when it comes to gaining weight (but this might have something to do with me eating like a horse). I would recommend that you read up on some 101's of nutritional value, and try to cut out most of the junk-food and replace them with healthier options in your diet. To…

No. There is in all probability no "life after death". There is not a single convincing argument or piece of evidence that would suggest otherwise.

"Fate"/"karma"/"Whatever" are all just superficial and intellectually dishonest ways to look at reality. There is not a single good reason to believe that "Karma" or "Fate" exists, and I'm glad that there isn't.
