The reason these articles think Splenda causes weight gain is normally because people think they are being good by using Splenda, and make up for it by over eating other things without realising how detrimental it is, and they gain weight. It's a correlation not causation issue, as (almost) all these articles claim.

Why not just buy a regular thermometer from the pharmacy and carry it with you, checking your temperature every 5 minutes? It'll be a lot cheaper, even for a digital thermometer.

The scale. The scale is always right. The package is exactly the same for everything, despite the product changing each time. The producers just need to have more than what's on the package in it. So more then 300g. They don't care about people counting calories. Weigh everything. Never trust packaging, or measuring cups.

I never eat those calories, maybe just a few each day because I don't think I deserve them as extra calories. I am set to sedentary, and when I run, it doubles my calories (from the steps and syncing from Runtastic) but after a few hours it normally adjusts and the steps from that half an hour are deleted. If not, I delete…

I'm Australian, but I'm currently living in downtown Toronto, you can add me, I really need friends, I'm all alone here in Toronto

Of course, because I would probably be so bored I'd start eating sponges for something different, however, in theory, if the numbers all stay very close together (within 100 each day) it should be somewhat accurate.
-
At the end of it you should weigh 12st 9lbs. It's never been accurate for me, however.

You said you were worried about it getting dark, is it clear now? Almost invisible? If it is, then that's normal, there is meant to be hair all over your body except on pretty much just your palms and lips. However, if it's dark, you need to go to the doctor.

Can you give some more details? What was your old calorie allotment, what has it become? How tall are you? Did you change your activity level? How often do you exercise? Also, how long has it been since you changed your calories? I know MFP changed some settings a while ago.

I have used Volteran gel, for my sore shoulder and shins, and it works quite well. I use it once a day and you can feel the results pretty quickly. It's definitely worth a shot! It does feel weird once it's on though, it's a cold burn.

I always hated living in Australia, but now that I live in Canada, I've realised how good Australia really is, despite the super high cost of living our higher wages make up for it, and I can get over the horrible shippings costs. So homesick :(

Firstly, sweat and a red face have absolutely nothing to do with how many calories you burn, that has to do with the heat, and how out of shape you are. Secondly, it was working the first few weeks because you were heavier, and eating less than you were burning. Now, you are still overeating, but you weigh less, so you…

If you have that many restrictions, then maybe you should see a professional qualified dietitian who can help you develop a meal plan with higher calories. As the above poster said, eating so few calories is also hurting you, so either way, you need to see someone who can help you before it gets worse.

I'm 5"7 and 222lbs and losing steadily on 1500 calories a day. So you could easily lose on 1200 a day. Just eat more calorie dense foods, eat the entire english muffin with butter, or have actual pasta. If you can't fit more food into your stomach, then just eat less but more calorie dense food.

This isn't true. I know plenty of people on here who eat whatever they want and lose weight as long as they are in a calorie deficit, myself included. Fat is not your enemy. Your body will not "refuse to shed pounds because it is already getting fat". Eating foods with bad nutrients constantly would be bad for your general…

You mentioned the machine being older, so it might be a little broken. If you put in 7, and it did 7 seconds, next time, try 490, that'll be the 7 minutes you want. Problem solved. (Or 99 five times if it's only double digits).

It has literally become my biggest pet peeve. Why post and never return?! I'm literally shocked when the OP replies within 15 minutes.
-
I agree with the other two posters, you could definitely eat more, I'm also 5"6 (closer to 5"7) and currently 222lbs, I eat 1500 each day, and I'm losing about 1.5-2lbs a week with little exercise. Without exercise, I'm at about 700 calories deficit a day, my TDEE is about 2200 give or take.
-
If you like Weetbix, why don't you just have more, aren't they like 60 calories per Weetbix? You could have like 5 or 6 and 1% milk for less than 400 calories.

You may be a 'poster child' for this program, but you have no patience. It's only been two weeks. And if you just started new exercise, your sore muscles may be holding onto water. It kinda needs to be a month or more before you can really see anything happening properly.
-
Yeah, I definitely wouldn't eat it. Have you guys seen the one they just released in Australia (most of you probably haven't). It's MEAT PIES. And yes, meat pies are one of our national foods, but common, there's gotta be limits.

The easiest way my boyfriend and I have found is by him going into my diary, and copying the meal into his diary which has the recipe I created in it. I'm sure there has to be a better way, which would let someone actually have the recipe saved under their recipes, but I don't know how to do it. Someone else might.

If your BMR is 1395, and you exercise each day to make it 1950 a day you can eat, and you eat 1200, then you have 750 x 7 = 5,250, which is 1.5lbs a week. Just look at your net calories, that might make it easier for you. Oh, when you said 750 calories deficit, I assumed you included the 195 from 1395-1200.

I'm Australian, living in Toronto, Canada, and I've been to the States. So, I'll say this, someone else suggested Starbucks, don't even bother, the Starbucks' here are really really bad compared to the ones in Australia (our coffee is much nicer), the only thing they have over us is more syrups, but it's fine. American Mac…

If you want to be really specific you could weigh it before you eat it, then weigh the remaining leaves after you're done. However it will change weight when you cook it because of the water, so I would weigh it once it's cooked and see what the USDA website has concerning cooked artichoke.

I had a Samsung S4, loved it, and I thought it was a great size. However, the iPhone 6+ is HUGE. My boyfriend ordered it last year before release, and we didn't realise it would be so massive. It doesn't even fit in his jean pockets, and male jean pockets are bigger than female pockets normally. I would definitely make…

Doing pretty poorly because of an injury, but staying at it. When I was still in Australia, it was 35-40°C (95-105F) all day, even in the morning, so I had to run in the heat. So bad. Much better here in Toronto where it's like less than 25 all the time.

This website is great! I just made her Thai Green Curry with Shrimp and it was really good, and pretty low cal, even with rice!

Just moved from Sydney, Australia to Toronto, ON!

You just identified your problem. Without a food scale, you're probably eating more than you think. And if you keep fluctuating around the same weight, it's probably because you're actually eating at or around your maintenance calories, not at a deficit. Eating 'clean' and trying to boost your metabolism will do nothing if…
