I was watching "Secret Eaters" last night on YouTube. I think it could be relevant, the people were underestimating their calories by almost a third! Big difference between 1300 and 3300. It's in the oils, the mayo, the bread roll that's slightly bigger, the orange juice you have or anything like that. It's there. Even if…

2lbs in your first week is fine, and from what I can see, you have less than 30lbs to lose so realistically you should be looking to lose 0.5-1lb a week. I think your expectations are a little bit too high.

I rarely eat before noon because of my schedule, I sleep late most days. And I'm not massive on a lot of food at night so this means I only eat between 12pm and 10pm, so I really like having all 1500 calories in ten hours because I snack less in between my five meals. It works great for me unless I'm having a hormonal…
-
No one else has been too worried about this 1200 calorie goal because the OP isn't losing weight, so he must be eating above it by quite a bit, but yes, it's definitely low for a male and most females.
-
I think it's fine as long as you're not underestimating by a huge amount like the other posters said, because it could lead to you missing out on a snack, or getting hungry. It's fine until you start really focusing on macros, once you start monitoring macros a lot, you need to measure more precisely so that you know you…

I love them too much to care. I found a place here in Toronto that makes them just like my grandmother use to, so I just have one each month with salad and eat light the rest of the day and not even think about it. They're quite big though, the place is called Jumbo Empanadas.
-
I use to do that, but because of the size of my plate and the size of my scale, I could never see the actual display properly, so I do it with jars because they are so much smaller.
-
This is totally off track, but I wanted to say, it's actually easier to put the jar on the scale, tare the scale so it's zero, and then take out what you need, the scale will then say -10g or whatever. That way you just dirty the knife instead of a measuring spoon too.

Firstly. The fact that Debbie Chazen didn't lose any weight after finding out she didn't have a slow metabolism, she was just eating to much, proves my point. People overestimate what they burn and underestimate what they eat. Secondly, for the bacon, you should weigh it and log the weight. For me, 2 slices of bacon is a…

Ice coffee with cold milk and vanilla ice cream and whipped cream ❤️

Here is just the most important part of the episode, 3:32 minutes. And the rating really doesn't matter when the information is correct and proves the point that people eat way more than they realise. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KA9AdlhB18o

You should definitely see a doctor if your lymph nodes are swollen, especially if you have a cat. Also, as the other poster said, not all health issues will be related to diet, but eating healthy from now on will definitely keep you a lot healthier than just eating bad food forever.

Are you drinking enough water? I know that if I don't have enough water, I'm sluggish when running. Also, do you find that you work out better on days when you eat before working out? Does the time vary each day? Are you getting enough protein? There are a ton of things it could be, personally, if you're getting the…

55 grams of chicken? For dinner? I really hope not. I have between 150g-200g for dinner! Why are you having such a small portion of chicken? I hope you meant that much for a snack. Just because you're trying to eat healthy doesn't mean you can't have calorie dense foods. If you need the calories, have a single serving of…

I was just about to link that video, Rabbit. So great.
-
If you had read some of the previous posts you would notice people mention that the exercise database on here is unreliable and often time it overestimates calories burnt twofold. I would be surprised if you burnt more than 300 calories NET during that 90 minutes.
-
What Rabbit was saying was that it's too high of a burn, not that you didn't work hard. I'm 60lbs over weight and I would have to constantly run for 90 minutes to burn less than 1000 calories. Even if your heart rate was elevated, I really doubt you burnt 1000 in 90 minutes. And consider how successful Rabbit has been I…

Depending on if they are small or large, I'd start with six larger ones and then eyeball it once you've got it in the pot. Remember, it's better to have slightly too much filling that you can leave out of the pie, too little will be very upsetting.

85g of chicken roasted is 142 calories. USDA is the best website for all fresh produce, just type in chicken cooked and roast and pick one.

Do you mean they show the calories and such? You'd probably like SkinnyTaste

Hi everyone! I can definitely mentor a few people right now, I already have one friend on my list who I help frequently, and I definitely have time for a few others. Anyways, a little bit about me, I'm recent Psych grad working at a research lab, I'm also an Australian living in Toronto. I started using MFP in January of…

Why don't you just ask an employee? When I worked at a supermarket, I was asked where things were constantly, and believe me, if you're a good employee that's been there for a little while you know where EVERYTHING is. I can still remember every items placement and I left a year ago. Plus, they'll be able to tell you if…

That's understandable, but you were describing a side stitch caused by your liver moving around as you run, my liver is at least 6-8 inches higher than my uterus, and not in the centre of my body, so it's a different situation. Even the stitches you get in the middle of your oblique would be 2 inches higher and 5 inches to…
-
I get this too. I feel like my uterus is jumping up and down and I get light cramps. I also feel like I have to pee constantly during a run. Not fast walking or anything, just running. I was checked for cysts (and endometriosis) last year, so I don't know what it is. It did cross my mind that it might be a UTI but it…

Some people have been on here for years, I myself have been on for about 9 months collectively (I took a break). Why do you think that you can give tips after just 1 week? I can't even say anything else without sounding rude. You don't even realise that 7lbs in a week is unhealthy, and mostly water, and that netting less…

Whipped cream would be lumpy, even though it would melt, it would still be weird at first. And it leaves behind an oily residue, I've tried it, when I first heard you guys put cream in your coffee, I tried, and it was gross, because 35% is what we call cream. The lowest fat product I can think of is Lite Cream, and it's…

I love this video, I think it's important to note that people almost always eat more than they think, even when logging. And maybe not by 800 calories, but maybe by 500 and you might be on the lower end of TDEE for your age/height/weight. So it matters. http://youtu.be/KA9AdlhB18o
-
In Australia we only use milk, either cold or frothed. We don't even sell half and half and regular 35% cream does go gross in hot liquid, the fat gets oily. Don't assume every country has the same products/styles of drinking coffee. To me, and most Australians and probably Britons, it's gross to put fatty cream in hot…

It can also stain your teeth and cause stomach acid problems, so definitely don't have too much. I personally can't drink it at all, it makes me so sick, gives me heart palpations and a massive headache for hours, but if you like it and it fits in your calories, it's fine. Maybe just limit yourself to five actual servings…

Why don't you go here and have a look at what it recommends? http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ Personally, I think 1500+ would be better, with exercise calories on top of that, but it's completely up to you.
