When you made the recipe, how many servings did you make it? I think you could do it if you really committed. In saying that, it doesn't really matter if you don't reach that 50lb loss by December, because you'll still have lost something, and you'll still feel good going to see your in-laws. So just get started now, and by December you'll feel great either way.

900kj is 215 calories (900 divided by 4.1868), but the OP could be maybe burning that in 20 minutes if she is going all out and is obese, she never mentioned her height/weight though. But cityruss definitely has a good point, it could definitely be the wrong setting. And on top of that, still overestimating the OPs burn.

You need a measuring glass, you can get Pyrex ones for a few bucks anywhere, they have cups and mL measurements on them. Oh, and 1L is roughly 1000g, not 100g :)
