  • Is it a new scale? Maybe you can return it? That's awful, but I guess the good thing is that your old scale was right! ( Usually we think of the analog scales to be a few lbs off )

  • I feel bad for those girls! I had anorexia off and on for five years from 2005 to 2010. I didn't use MFP, but I did log my calories into a site called Xanga ( not sure if the kiddos use that still ). I had a blog and belonged to blog rings of other girls who had similar eating issues as I had. I used to only consume…
  • You're eating too little. The exercising seems like enough. A little on the high side, but not too terrible. you could be doing 90-120 minutes 6-7 days a week, which is a lot more intense. I would definitely figure out how much food you actually need to eat to lose weight. No one can function on 900 calories a day. Even…
  • That's wonderful! :) And in such a quick time as well!
  • It's hard when you are on the go :( Sometimes it takes extra planning. It's okay to eat McD's once in a great while. I do like their burgers sometimes!
  • Hey :) Welcome! And congrats on your loss! I've been on here for a little over a month and I update daily. :) I will add you if that is alright! Good luck!
  • Hello! And welcome :)
  • I am 25 :) I've been on here for a little over a month :) I cut out eating out for the most part and it's worked really well. I'll add you if that is okay :) I update MFP everyday! Anyone else feel free to add me!
  • Yes. When we are younger we get away with eating bad things! I put on weight in 2013 because I was eating out at restaurants too much ( and not exercising enough ) and doing my horrible 1 hour commute twice a week to school. When I was 16, I ate way worse things at fast food restaurants and barely put on weight. Obviously…
  • Even though you had a day at 2098 calories, you will still lose weight. It may have not been your best day, but the food you ate doesn't seem too bad. 2098 calories for an entire day is hardly a binge. You might be too hard on yourself. Also 1200-1300 calories seems too low for you. Maybe you should aim for 1600-1700 per…
  • I know how you feel. I was in my upper 130's in December. I am just a half inch taller than you, but I doubt it makes a difference. I lost the first 15 lbs quickly, but now it is getting slow. I would say maybe mix up your workouts. Even if you do your routine differently. Or try some new machines. Or do a new exercise.…
  • Well, I am 5'3.5 and yes, the half matters :) So far I've lost 11 lbs since January ( about 14-15 since Christmas ). I only have 13-14 more lbs to lose. My waist went from a 27.5-28 in December ( 28 was on bad days, 27.5 on good days ) down to a 24.5. Other areas, like my hips, have not gone down that much.
  • Everyone is different. We all hit plateaus. Some people on here might be complaining that they are not losing when they are not just giving their bodies time. I have lost weight before and am doing it again and there is always a period of time ( 1-2 weeks where I do not lose weight or only lose 1 lb for those two weeks ).…
  • I've tried it before and it worked for me. I maintained on calorie cycling. I thought it worked well, because there were days where I was more active, or days when I had to go out to eat, or eat with the family. Sometimes there isn't really an easy way out when it comes to going out to eat. ( and you have no control, and…
  • Both are right. You can lose weight by eating clean. You can lose weight by eating junk food. Just as long as you are eating less than what you burn and at a deficit. however, eating clean will make you feel better on the inside. Sometimes eating junk can make you feel bloated and icky, even if you are still losing weight.…
  • Sometimes it just takes time for changes to occur. I know I havent lost much in my hips, but more of my weight has been lost in my upper body so far. Also, you may not think you look different, but other people might notice! How are clothes fitting? Are they fitting looser?
  • Wow! I hope I don't start gaining on 1200 calories! I lost 11 lbs in January but so far this month the weight loss has been very slow. I'm worried about my metabolism and I do not want to gain the weight back.
  • I would get rid of them! I plan on reselling some of my old jeans ( barely worn ) to Plato's Closet. They are already a size too big on me! Other clothes I will just give away. A couple times a year I go through my closet and give things away to the Salvation Army. There is a store not too far from where I live.
  • Did you get food poisoning? ( I am assuming so ) Yes, it does suck. I've had some bad bouts of food poisoning in my life and while it does make you lose weight, you feel like utter crap in the process.
  • Yes, I would eat the calories you have left over, or at least some of them. You don't want to eat only 1200 calories and then work out a ton. At least you can eat the 1500 on days you work out and eat less on the days you do not.
  • At the old gym I was going to, they had these really nice ones by Prector. It had a touch screen and TV capabilities which I really liked. It was also super easy and smooth to work. Currently where I am at now, I go on the elliptical, but I do not like them as much as the Prector ones. They are by Lifetime Fitness. They…

  • Cookies are yummy :) And good in moderation! I love cookies ( and brownies and muffins! ) I had some shortbread cookies today :) And you look great :) Losing on 1900 calories is awesome. I could probably lose on that as well, but it would be a very slow weight loss. Maybe only a couple lbs a month. If you eat healthy, you…
  • I'm not sure. Your body will do what it wants. Maybe they will. Maybe they won't. Also, your bra size might change, but not what you would expect. You could go down to a 30 band size but the difference between the band and bust might be the same. Instead of going down to a 32A, it could be that you end up as a 30C. ( Which…
  • Welcome :) I will add you if that is okay! And congrats on your recent weight loss!
  • Welcome :) Good luck with your weight loss. I want to run a 5k too sometime soon. Have some coming up in my area in May and June. Feel free to add me!
  • I'm 25 :) I will add you! Anyone else can add me. It doesn't matter if you are in your 20s or not.
  • Hey I'll add you! Good luck! I had 25 lbs to lose, now only 12.5! We can do it! Anyone else feel free to add me!
