Me too. I bake my own muffins and brownies. I substitute applesauce for oil and use egg whites instead of eggs. They turn out really well and you'd never know they low calorie. I reduce calories further by using a stevia blend. Right now my oven is broke so I can't bake boooo. I also buy low calorie treats, like Weight…

1500-1600 for a sedentary/lightly active lifestyle. Probably around 1800-ish for a moderately active lifestyle. However I agree with others that you are severely underweight.

Good luck! A year seems kind of far. You do not need to train that long for a 10K. Usually the training program is around 10 weeks. And the 10K is 6.2 miles, so usually you run every other day. Some days you might run 6 miles, another day 5 miles, another day a short 2 miles, and then 3 miles another day. Or its up to you…

If you don't like them, then I would just donate them to a local church. I'm sure there are some low income children that would love to have some extra Easter candy. I personally wanted sweets ( namely chocolate ) but I only eat a little bit at a time. A lot of people are scared and won't let themselves eat sweets at all,…

Yes, it can work. Especially because deficits can be over a period of time. If you're trying to maintain, you do not have a surplus or a deficit. But if you have some days under and some days over, it does even out over a period of a week. People can retain water and gain on the scale after a weekend of surplus that that…

Yeah, I know! It is frustrating! But 114 lbs isn't that much higher than 111 lbs to put things in perspective. You can probably wear the same clothes and jeans. Could be a tad tighter depending on your body, but definitely wearable. Also I don't think you failed at maintaining.... our bodies have ranges and our weights can…

I am transitioning into maintenance. I will send you a friend request!

1520 does seem a little low, even for your small size. I would except a low active person at your size to be around 1700. I guess the only thing to do is increase and see what happens.

We will have lunch at my place. Around 2 or 3 pm. In the morning I plan on a run ( and then eat some YUMMY chocolates! Yes, I'm bad ) for 6 miles. And then I will start preparing for the meal. I'm not sure what is happening after that or if I am going anywhere else.

The only creepy thing that has happened to me, but it was when I was on a walk, not a run. A few years ago a creepy man on a bike was following me around telling me how cute my butt was and how sexy I was. I made sure I sped up my walking speed and changed my route. I never saw him again. I've been running lately and so…

Good advice! Thanks!

Yes, I think this is very important! I hated the 1200 calorie diet-- I was always hungry and grumpy. I'm also a smaller girl, too, ( just under 5'4" ) and found that I was still losing at 1500-1600 as well. I am just about finished losing weight and I am scared to increase my calories. I'm increasing them slowly till I get…

Nope and I am skeptical about it!

At my Planet Fitness, the lunk alarm does go off on an occasional basis. No one does anything about it; everyone including the workers snicker. I'm sure if the manager was there then there might be an issue. Also, I see a wide variety of fitness levels. I see ripped men and women, overweight people just starting out, and…

I definitely not think we should be mean to fat people, but sometimes I think the "fat positivity" and "body image" issues go too far. Obviously a lot of people think in black and white; thin verses fat. And how do we define "thin" verses "fat?" It can be subjective. People should accept their bodies, but also know that…

I think the best thing to do is to keep on doing what you're doing. Keep on your diet and exercise changes and maybe if he sees the progress you are making, then maybe he will slowly begin to make changes. I just lost 25 lbs; my boyfriend and I both gained weight during our 3 years so far together. My boyfriend's gain was…

Its too low for me in the long term. I have ate at 1200-1300 calories in the beginning of my weight loss and have found that I have still lost weight fine upping to 1400-1600. Now I'm trying to maintain! 1200-1300 is doable in the short term and IF you have the right foods. A couple days ago I was at 1400-something and I…

What an *kitten*! Equipment is made so that all kinds of people can use it. At least you are exercising! And I'm sure you are doing well! I would have reported the incident to management right away. Maybe they could have done something if they knew you might switch gyms ( $$$ ).

That seems a little low. Even 1200 seems low for your exercise ( that you did last year ). I'm not sure what to tell you, but I would get a second opinion. I don't think a dietitian would tell you this, or at least I'd hope not. Only morbidly obese people are put on 800-1000 calorie diets and are medically supervised.

Yep. you have me here. I am just under 5'4". I maintained 110-115 for a really long time until my weight went up in late 2012 and in 2013. But this past fall it skyrocketed from the mid-120's to the mid-130's. I am now back down to 110-111 lbs, which I am much happier at. It is definitely easy to see weight gain when you…

Obviously if you're having a hard time sticking to 1200 calories due to hunger and then binging later on, then that is a sign that 1200 is too low for you. I find 1500 is a happy medium. You can also try exercising a little more if you can. That allows for more food.

Do you like the chocolate? If so, then I am sure you can eat one serving a day. You can also share with the kids and husband. I personally like Russell Stover's eggs. They have a lot of flavors ( chocolate brownie, peanut butter, cookie dough, red velvet, strawberry creme, birthday cake, carrot cake, etc etc ) and I have…

It is probably a good idea to at least eat some of your exercise calories back, especially if you're set as "sedentary" or "lightly active". Some people say that the exercise machines and MFP overestimate your calories burned. Even so I'd at least eat some of it back, because you're still burning calories either way. If…

Yes, there is a value that is too low, but this is when you consume that level on days in and days out. Sodium is one of the things we want in moderation-- too much or too little can be detrimental. Both have an affect on the heart. I do believe that you will know and will feel it if your sodium gets too low-- your muscles…

Its personal preference and everyone is different! I know if I eat a Chipotle burrito I don't need to eat for 6 or more hours, and sometimes 8 hours. But those can be a lot of calories! I normally get bowls from there these days. I normally get hungry 3-4 hours after a meal. If I go 6 or more hours without a meal, i get…

A bulk bag of rice from Costco :)

Was chocolate, but now its peanut butter.

I would just move on and forget about it. It's a problem if something like this is happening everyday, but in your case, it seems just like a cheat day. And 1300 calories over your estimated amount for a deficit usually ends up not being much in the long run.

Most people don't really bother me. However, sometimes girls come in all made up and looking cute. I'm not sure why, because if they are REALLY going to work out, it means they will sweat and get their hair messy. My hair always feels crappy and sweaty after exercising.

Anytime between 6 to 9 am. I like getting my workouts in in between 7 to 9 am, but that doesn't always happen. I have school in the morning MWF, and often can't exercise until the evening! I am most motivated in the morning though!
