I second the muffins. I love muffins. I love them in all sizes and from a variety of places. I've really cut down on them, but I've been making them from scratch a lot, but in smaller sizes. Currently finding ways to lower calories in muffins so I can make the jumbo sized ones~

So you have 4 days off? Is it possible to have your rest days or do something light on days you work, and keep the higher intensity/higher duration things on your days off?

Interesting how your body didnt do anything after 2000 calories either. not even by increasing in weight from eating a lower amount. Something is going on but I'm not sure what. Sometimes things like this just happen and you have to wait for the weight loss to continue again.

I think you seem like you're doing good. My weight loss hasn't been linear....I lost 1 lb in 2 weeks a couple months ago and it looks like my body is going one of those phases now. But other weeks i lose 1.5 to 2 lbs in a week, or even one week I dropped 4 lbs ( water retention ). It's really annoying; sometimes its fast…

Agreed!

I haven't but none of them live by me. The ones who live in my state live hours away.

It can happen. I had one insecure friend in the past who would always make comments about me being thin. ( I did have an eating disorder, anorexia nervosa, for a time, but I did happen to gain weight and get myself to 110-115 lbs, a slim yet healthy weight for my frame ). She would make comments about how I needed to eat…

Some people find that pre-logging works for them! I think it can be a very good thing to do and I do it from time to time. The only down side is that you can get obsessive!
-
Yeah, it can be boring from time to time. Can you get a gym membership, where there are a variety of machines?
-
YES.

i tell myself that the guilt for the rest of the day isn't worth it!

You probably have your goals set for 1.5-2 lbs per week, if it wants you to eat only 1200 calories. if you only have 15 to 20 lbs to lose you can do .5 to 1 lbs a week and that would be better. I would eat more than 1200 calories per day. 1400-1600 may be better for you. But it depends on how active you are. The only days…

Depends on how fast you walk, height, weight, sex, age, etc etc. I do not burn a lot walking just on flat surfaces. Walking around my neighborhood I burn about 180 or around that calories per hour. On the treadmill on an incline at a faster speed I burn over 300 in an hour. it all just depends.

I agree! When you maintain, you definitely need to eat exercise calories back, or else you will continue to lose ( even a 1 lb a month is still a loss ). Or at least most of your exercise calories back, in case you're worried they are overestimated. I also like the idea of increasing cals by 100 every week. Gives the body…

I have tried it like that once back in high school. I didn't like how it was, but maybe I did it wrong!

I think you can bring up the topic to your dietitian and see what she says. 2500 to 3000 calories seems like a lot but recovering anorexics are often put on diets that consist of that amount or higher. When I was recovering and in refeeding, there were days I ate that much but most of the time I was at around 2000…

I don't usually send friend requests to men. I don't want them to get the wrong idea. I normally send requests to women.

I LOVE ICE CREAM lol

I would say moderate. But also depends on what kind of job you have too!

If you hate cardio, then maybe you should mix it up with some strength training. I do cardio but I like it. When you lose fat, it is from eating less calories than you burn. The cardio component is just there to help you burn more calories, which aids in fat loss.

It would be a huge problem for me if I had to go to a gym 30 minutes away. My friend lives in a rural area and had a similar commute to her gym. It was hard for her to go, because of the commute, and she also worked 45 minutes away in another direction. I would say its definitely the commute that is hard for you. My gym is…

Same here!

I eat 3 meals and a snack. I'd rather have the bigger meals because they make me feel full. I do not get super hungry in between meals. When I maintain, I will have 3 meals and 2 snacks. My 3 meals will be slightly bigger than now and there will be an extra snack. I think the 6 small meals sounds like a good idea in…

Generally, a diet under your BMR is considered too low. I mean, a day or two a couple hundred under won't kill you but in the long term you might have some issues down the road. I would at least eat at your BMR or a few hundred over if you do decide to incorporate an exercise program down the road. I am surprised your…

Good question. Someone above me said that your blood sugar could have crashed. That could have been the case. I have not had a binge thus far in my journey, but I crave granola bars ( esp ones with peanut butter or chocolate ) a lot. I eat one everyday. I don't want to tell you to keep that food from your house, especially…

Wow! That's a pretty big difference for a 1 lb loss. And 2000 calories rocks! You will see results and the way you're doing it is healthier than most.
-
I eat 4 times a day. I space my meals between 4 to 6 hours. I try not to go beyond 6 hours but sometimes like at work I have no control of when I can eat. I am losing. It will be the same when I maintain except I will eat 3 meals and 2 snacks.

Female 5'3.5" SW: 136 CW: 116 GW: 110 I eat anywhere between 1200-1600 calories depending on how active I am. I would say my average is 1400 calories per day. 1200 is super low for me and I only aim for that when my activities are low. I try to do cardio for 60-120 minutes 5 days a week
-
If you insist lol.. For reference, I am 5'3.5" When I started on MFP I was 136 lbs ( probably 138 lbs around Christmas ). My underbust measurement was 30 and my bust was 38. I wore a 32DD/34D. There were times I'd swell during TOM and the 32DD/34D would be tight in the breast area ( not in the back though ). I wore a size…

I don't think he is recommending that we eat McDonalds everyday to lose weight. I think the point is that you can have McDonalds or any restaurant really and still lose weight ( or maintain ) just as long as it is part of your balanced diet, calorie goals, etc etc etc. And I doubt that guy ate a Bic Mac, a Mcflurry and…
