  • I don't log my food all weekend :P I rely on my new lifestyle to get me through and it's working. I've got the portion control down and I usually try and be more active if I'm indulging :) One of the tips I read for "Weight Loss Success" said don't expect to be perfect. If you try to be perfect your inperfections will…
  • Best challenge EVER! Unfortunately I have two small children and can't dedicate that time to Zumba - JEALOUS of those who can!!

  • UGH, I hate the words they use for the BMI calculator. I think Obese is the highest you can go right? You're at the bottom of that range....don't sweat it :)
  • You must feel incredible! Great job!
  • LOL I would love to do that here at my work!
  • Can you bring an exercise ball into the office and keep it at your desk? I love to sit on it instead of my chair and bounce bounce bounce! Feels good to stretch on it too :)
  • I also appreciate the changes - Excellent! Thank you so much for keeping things simple for us :)
  • I am so happy to see this post! I don't suffer from any psychological issues myself but my mother did (bi polar dissorder and then skitzophrenia) and so I'm well versed in the struggles you're all facing. Asking for help and finding people who are in a similar situation is so empowering you have no idea. Kudos to you all…
  • I recently went over on my fats because of an avacado and my status message was something along the lines of "I went over on my FATS but I don't give a *kitten* because it was an AVACADO!" lol
  • Thank you for sharing! Great insight into how our minds change as we go through the process. You're a great writer :)
  • Isn't it amazing? I'm down almost 22 lbs in 6 months (or so) and I'm LOVING being fit! I swim or bike every single day. Heck I don't even watch much TV anymore! With all this energy, I'm keeping my house cleaner, playing more with my kids and enjoying LIFE!
  • I've been here a while but a lot of my friends have drifted away :( I'd love some new ones!
  • I've trained my brain to just skim over grammar issues in posts because don't even get me started on the whole they're/there/their debauchery. Or you're/your.....must stop ;)
  • Lately it's about 9:30pm when it's finally dark enough for me to swim naked in my pool - no joke! LOL Of course this nice weather only lasts for 2 months out of year, so for all the other months the best part of my day is when I walk in the door and my two girls are so happy to see me home :)
  • Well I know what I would do, I wouldn't even worry about the food. It's ONE weekend. If you go into it knowing that yes, you're not going to be perfect this weekend, you have ENOUGH to think about without adding the stress of what you're going to eat then I think it will be super easy to get back on track when you get home…

  • Oooooh yea - I definately notice a difference on my TOM week! When you do this long enough you start to see the patterns in your weight loss and they definately correspond to TOM. Aren't we women so lucky? LOL
  • Awesome!!! Can't wait to try them!
  • Lushes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm back from a two week vaca in rural New Brunswick. Yes rural. SHOULD have ='d a LOT of drinking but alas, I got a chest cold :( Not only did I not drink, I couldn't bring myself to eat anything "bad" because it didn't feel worth it if I couldn't taste. Of course I got home and had 5…
  • I say do whatever you have to to get rid of the "down in the dumps" feeling. I strive to keep this process 100% positive - no guilt, no frustration etc. For me, this is a POSITIVE life change and I intend on keeping it that way :) That said, if I were in your position, I would continue to weigh in once a week however I…
  • It's all a matter of personal choice :) Myself, I'm thinking of this process as a "lifestyle change", something I plan on living with for the rest of my life. So I ask myself, am I going to eliminate <insert food> forever? My answer is always, NO. So I don't deny myself ANYTHING. That said, I don't need to eat as much of…
  • Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!! I love love love LOVE Zumba!
  • Congrats on your pregnancy!!!
  • Woah woah woah.....no Argo's for me! ALOUETTES all the way!!!!!!!!!!!
  • The system will promt you to change it when it feels you're ready (usually every 10 lb loss or so).
  • Just keep swimming, just keep swimming.... Yea it totally sucks when our body doesn't do what we WANT it to do but if you're doing all the RIGHT things, eventually it has no choice :)
  • It doesn't feel like exercise does it? That's the beauty of swimming!!! It's one of the best overall body exercises! Plus you don't sweat!

  • Football? Isn't that what they're playing in South Africa right now? LOL Call me clueless ;) This weekend is shaping up to be a fun one! Tonight is "relax" night. We're all tired - it's been one hell of a crazy week! I might go for a swim, if the pool is warm enough. I'm such a "cold water" whimp! I feel guilty about it…
  • In a perfect world, we would ALL be understanding of eachother. Unfortunately, this isn't a perfect world :) I have learned these last few years to concentrate on myself and myself only. If other people have "issues" with how I'm choosing to live my life, that's THEIR issue. If I have an issue with how someone is living…
  • My only consistent exercise is walking :) I have two small girls and no time to plan exercise so good thing my office is quite a hike from the commuter train!
  • If I were in your shoes, I would definately keep up the hard works outs. 1. You like them (you lucky thing!) 2. You're losing inches! Who see's the scale besides you - no one. Who see's the inches lost? EVERYONE!!!
