I just wanna pop in here and say whenever I hit a plateau it was immediately after not eating enough during the week. I log all my weight loss and make notations. My body definitely does not act the same if I under eat so I believe that "starvations" mode can be triggered rather quickly.

Assuming you meant 1700-2200 cals per day then what you are doing sounds fine. 1 pound a week loss is probably assuming no exercise.

Don't sweat it. I have had 8 pound swings in 1 day. Stick to measurements to truly track progress. If you are eating under maintenance that's all you need to do to succeed. Don't forget that a gallon of water weighs 8.34 pounds. A 20 ounce bottle of water is 1.3 pounds.
