They make some really delicious, if not a bit expensive, Caesar vinigrettes that are lower calorie. Personally I stick to balsamic, but I really love it, I use it for salads, for marinading meats and for drizzling on avocados.

At 16 I ate 750 calories a day. A bowl of frosted flakes with 1% milk, a couple packets of fruit snacks, and something else I don't remember, because I was so hungry and exhausted. I also tried to exercise a half hour on an elliptical and an hour of cheerleading. Clearly I ended up healthy and trim for life.

Haha thanks guys! I'm (obviously) kinda chubby, which is probably why my manager kept coming out to see if I had given up yet. Luckily I just had to do the walks in front of both entrances and not the whole parking lot or I probably would have just given up. My hair actually frozen with huge long icicles, people kept…

I am a third generation weight obsessive. My mother, before she passed this year, had done so much damage to her stomach binging and then starving herself for it my whole life that she could hardly keep an 8oz cup of soup down without feeling sick. My grandmother has tried ever diet know to man and they have all ended in…

So long as it isn't drunk dumplings then a bit of fruit is golden. (I have dumplings on the brain) My go to snack is three to four baby carrots, or a half serving of Cheeseits (a serving is about twenty five, I have tiny hands and a handful is roughly ten to twelve)

Probably gonna be a boneless (Skin on) chicken thigh marinaded in balsamic vinaigrette with white rice... My husband took the card I needed for grocery shopping so I am outta veggies. Oh well, I had a big breakfast and lunch.

I put mine in: Risotto Mac and cheese Caesar salad Rice balls I stuff them with crab and cream cheese I eat them on toast, or sandwiches with tomato slices. Sometimes I eat them plain for lunch at work. The thing is I love them, and you don't and I have no way of knowing what tastes you DO like so no idea of how you would…

Eating 99% veggies sounds great in theory, but it leads to a malnourished you. If the goal MFP set for you is 18something aim for that all day, but no lower than 1200. Instead of feeling guilty for eating something that didn't grow in soil or isn't a "health food" have a quesadilla for lunch, a Greek yogurt with breakfast,…

Are you saying that your total caloric intake for the average day is under 800calories before working out? Because if that is what you're saying that is why you are craving "normal" food, because your body is starving. If you're saying your average meal is 400-800 calories with a total over 1200 for the day after adding in…

I have learned that I actually like almonds, despite disliking all other nuts. I don't like yogurt, but I buy the chobani tubes for my two year old and if I'm in the mood for a quick snack I'll snag one (especially the dragon fruit ones, holy crap they're worth four bucks a box). Honey totally grosses me out, but it works…

Haha, I feel guilty for saying "yuck" aloud to Greek yogurt, honey and nuts. I think the important thing is to try and find ways to eat foods you didn't care for when you had a child's taste buds. I hated avocados as a kid, the other day I put them in my Mac and cheese. I have never (and still don't) liked mushrooms, now I…

You're supposed to eat your calorie goal. That is what goal means, if you work out a ton (which you may be over estimating your workout calories burned) then you need to eat more calorie rich foods. If you eat salad, throw in croutons for some carbs, if you have steamed veggies for dinner roast some potatoes with them. If…

Oh my gosh, are you the dieting aunt?! I love it. In my family, every Christmas SOMEONE in my family is on a diet (usually crazysauce fads they never stick to). Whoever it is that's on a restricted diet simply calls the host and let's them know what is they aren't eating at that time, not in a rude way but in a "I just…

Personally I stirfry dry, meats first then I add my noodles and veg at the same time. Keeps things moist enough to not burn and dry enough to not get stuck with sloppy soggy stirfry. Also you could try dabbing a paper towel in your oil and rubbing your pan with it. There's still calories added, obviously, but it only uses…

Right below my ribs to the top of my hips. Got pregnant, ate healthy, didn't gain too much weight, doomed to have a jiggly belly. It's actually gotten worse since I started losing, now it's looser and bums me out.

Most days it's a half hour jog, today? Some squats some side planks, boring girly stuff because my hips hurt and I have an 8.5 hour shift ahead of me.

Recently as a treat for myself I went to New Seasons (it's a local health food market, the type where they serve hot pizza with goat cheese on it and probiotics that you have to keep in the fridge) and bought myself a fancy organic chocolate bar with toffee bits. I wanted it and I didn't care how many calories were in it,…

The 30 day shred haunts my nightmares. I tried it about six months ago at the same time I decided to go gluten free ( that went well) and I gave up in a fantastic display of weakness. That being said, it is an amazing workout, I just couldn't handle it at the time and I plan to go back in a month or so and try again. The…

I am glad that my burrito shame helped you! Also, yeah I pretty much completely spaced that my goal is still a deficit (and a pretty big one since I have my weekly goal set for 2lbs). Thanks to everyone for giving me some perspective and keeping me grounded.

Only 360 in chocolate? Last week I ate 500 in chocolate, I called it lunch and moved on. Also big thanks to everyone for being so supportive. I didn't even think about all of the sodium in chips, I haven't been eating them for quite a while so it slipped my mind. I'm honestly not upset about the tiny gain, I'm more upset…

1000 calories a day is not enough to maintain your weight, it isn't even enough to healthily lose weight. As someone who has seen a lot of family members struggle with eating disorders, and who has a pretty shaky relationship with food themselves I have to agree with everyone else, it sounds to me like you're on a slippery…

But as the prince of the Forrest Elves Legolas would have been present for any court proceedings or in the event of a possible "threat". He wasn't mentioned by name, but he totally would have been there. (I have had this discussion with every person I know who has read the Hobbit, I haven't seen the newest movie yet so I…

Right now I am most frustrated that there are two more pieces of French toast in my kitchen but I can't have them. I mean I could, they aren't spoken for, but I can't, y'know? In general I am most frustrated that my husband has decided to encourage me by simply telling me I'm doing great and to not worry if I want a…

He's a very good boy when it comes to eating, he always eats his veggies without a fight and stops eating when he gets full. His only real problem is he sees his dad drink a lot of soda, and even if I don't let him drink any yet (cause he's flipping two) I am worried he'll develope his dad's bad soda problems.

Thanks, I feel like there is a crazy amount of pressure to be the perfect fit/fun/adorable Pinterest hipster mom (I live in Portland Oregon, it's kinda 100% our thing) and I know I am hard on myself but i needed a little help to see just how hard I was being. 50 may not be my end game, it's really just my arbitrary goal,…

As of today I'm 173(.1)lbs and 5'4". I've been hippy since before puberty so I don't know if 50lbs is even possible with my frame, but it's the twenty extra I got from my son and the thirty I wanted to lose when I got pregnant with him (as in I started a diet and then became pregnant. Not that I was trying to lose while…

Scrambled eggs (2 whole eggs, dash of milk) 1/2 avocado Grilled boneless skinless chicken thigh. Comes in under 400cal and had enough protien to keep me going quite a while. As for lunch. I don't really eat it, I kinda just snack between breakfast and lunch. But I can tell you what make for good snacks? 25-27 cheese it's…

A few of my favorite ways to eat avocado. -rice balls stuffed with avocado -avocado risotto -avocado toast -avocado Caesar salad -avocado halves stuffed with crab (got that one from Sylvia Plath) -avocado on any sandwich ever. Oh, and I once put diced avocado in a box of Mac and cheese, it was good.

Way to lose control over such a common mistake. I think you should reconsider next time you feel like letting loose an opinion that seems as pointed and cruel. Actually this bothers me constantly, but I'm too much of a wuss to actually say anything.

I hate breakfast more than I hate calculus. Except for pancakes, but I really prefer them for lunch and let's face it, no matter how you dress it up a pancake is just not good for you (good for the soul though, with blueberries). Unfortunately I have a toddler who LOVES breakfast, eggs specifically, so I make some for him…
