  • You're Welcome, and Happy lifting!!
  • You may want to read that article... http://www.t-nation.com/training/flat-butt-fix It talks a little about bio mechanics and the author makes the case no matter how good her form is...she is destined for quad hypertrohpy based on her bio mechanics. My wife has tendency to grow quads and calves mad quick...but wants more…
  • How often do you train your arms?
  • Good gains there...I'm about to add some Trap Bar Deadlifts to my routine soon...
  • Eat 250 calories over maintenance where your maintenance calculation accounts for your weight training and fasted morning cardio sessions (maybe five 35 min sessions per week). This is a very slow step function process...gain a little...lean out...add more calories...gain a little...lean out...add more calories...etc. Get…
  • I ain't going to lie....Bret Contreras for the win. I have been doing Hip Thrust for about a month and have seen noticeable changes in my booty. Got my wife on board...BOOM! Hip Thrust for the win...always with the thrusting..always with the winning!! Consider the case for a Glute Only Day:…
  • What are you reading? And what are you listening too everyday? Your life change starts with in. Why do you want to get healthy? <<-- How strong is this reason? Recommended Readings for you: 1. Start with WHY 2. Failing Forward 3. The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth I'm plugged into personal development daily...because i do…
  • Why are you trying to gain weight?
  • Oh no doubt...tricky situation indeed. But what if your SO came out and said he's against your decision? How would that make you feel? My stance is this...and it is like my uncle told me on my wedding day, "If momma ain't happy ain't NOBODY happy." :D So I support her decision if she decides to move forward.
  • Just bumping for this for the next guy. You're welcome. Nice work Jo!
  • That macro seems odd to me...fat is definitely low, may could up protein a little, but for carbs....start pounding sweet potatoes leading up to weight training workouts. After the workout maybe consider a carbohydrate powder in a postworkout shake, eat some white rice with honey with that shake. Many meals is key....
  • Do you exercise regularly? Much easier to maintain if you do...and especially if you do resistance training. You can turn high carb cravings into muscle fueled rewards. Saturday nights are wifey/family date nights. I hit the gym before dinner satisfy my cravings afterwords...
  • It hurt my back to give my two toddler boys a bath.
  • This... My wife is B cup now at a healthy weight but understands fat loss = boob loss and has "droop" concerns. She barely mentioned implants to me and I did everything I can not to show how excited I was...but let her know I'm on board (sorry if this sounds weird). Not sure if this hurts or helps anyone...okay I'm out.
  • Okay...hit a new PR on Military Press. 185 for 5 reps. I am currently sitting at 200 lbs right now and would love to military press my own body weight for 5 reps...better yet 205 lbs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypkLGFHaqrI Was feeling pretty pumped after that set so naturally I had to take a progress photo. Just…
  • Dude...takes years to put on a Body Builder Physique. Best Case scenario with Body Beast is 6-8 lbs of LBM and that's if you are sleaping well and eating to caloric surplus. But to answer your question yes you can build muscle eating maintenance calories but you may want to make sure you are getting in the correct number…
  • Thanks! I used to be all about the weight...till I got hurt. Now I am all about Control, not getting hurt again (I'll take slow but consistent gains..), and Aesthetics of course! The weight will come with time, and when it does...you'll look that much more impressive with good control. ;) I really want a custom pullup bar…
  • New PR on Weighted Dips. Just started doing them a month ago...not sure I want to go to heavy...just wanted controlled reps. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dqRSs9GwyjE
  • That 6 month transformation was on two consecutive rounds of P90x. I ONLY lost 1 lb per week...but over six months. Totally shocked at the results...especially when I quit alcohol in the 2nd round. I have since completed 3 rounds of Body Beast...and am now working on Body Building and Proportions (Aesthetics). This video…
  • Yea this sounds about right for an average 16 year old, and nothing will change when you get to adulthood...except you'll probably have kids thrown in the mix with the Job, Possibly Grad School, Sports, Relationships, people around you not dieting as such....etc. At least you have my fitness pal as a resource. My…
  • Thanks bud! Man I remember the first time I did a muscle up on a straight bar...took me forever to get that technique down. Congrats! My pullup goals now are to Pull Up 315 lbs. I have been working with weighted pullups (olympic plates on a dip belt) . May post some weighted pullup progression in this thread soon. Going…
  • [quote="jmule24;30894156"I actually had an older lady interrupt me; mid rep while deadlifting, to inform me that I was giving her a headache from the noise of the weights. Mind you she was off in cardio land.....[/quote] Set it off...
  • Setting a PR on Bench Press: 315 lbs for two reps. It has been at least since years since I have bench pressed 315...and I could only do it once! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NZreImAuqWo
  • Nice work on the Hip thrusts....I just added those to my routine and my wife as well. Still trying to get on your level though. :\ Definitely helping my other lifts and the see the results...especially on my wife...hip thrust for the win!! :D
  • Thanks so much! Anyone can do this....I keep having to remind people that I lost 35 lbs over six months. That is basically 1 lb per week and most people can lose that amount per week with small consistent imperceptible changes in their diet.
  • Congrats dude! I had a huge transformation on P90x two years ago...Beachbody Programs are no joke. Keep going brotha!
  • Deficit <> Bulk
  • My wife and I have done very well with Body Beast. She increased her unassisted pullups (dead hang not that kipping crap) from 12 to 16 reps and I just love her body even more afterwords....build legs and Bulk legs for the win... ;) I completed 3 rounds of Body Beast. We even had a chance to flex next to the Big Guy…
  • It is amazing what you can do...the moment you believe you are worth the effort...
