  • good job, girl, and CUTE JEANS!
  • fruit (granny smith apples, oranges, grapefruit) low calorie soups (lots of good veggie soups out there in the can. heat and eat) burrito (homemade or store bought) that's what I eat most days at work. yogurt and coffee for breakfast lunch time is a small burrito and half a can of soup (I buy the big cans that have 2…
  • that's an extreme exercise in self will! (can you count those exercise calories? LOL) you're stronger than me!! I have to not buy it, not make it, or I'll eat it.
  • 1. How much did you lose? -1.5lbs 2. Where u under your net WEEKLY calorie allowance? - I don't know. Probably not. I stay very close to my recommended calorie intake every day except for saturday (my cheat day). On Saturday I eat the same as every other day for breakfast and lunch, but I eat pretty much whatever I want…
  • RN here as well, I work in Emergency.. thank god it's day shift, but still 0700-1930 makes for long days, we're lucky to get our breaks (most of the time) and we're allowed to have water! I think it's really strange that wherever you work they don't allow you to drink ? that's crazy. unfortunately, we also having a nursing…
  • I also agree with chelsea, the first mile or so is always the hardest.. so I forgot about that "first" second wind, when my breathing first becomes normal and I feel warmed up and steady.. then the second one like I described above..
  • my "Goal" would probably be to hit under 53 min.. but it can vary so much depending on the course that it can be hard to set a goal unless you know the race is pretty flat. my best 5K time is 8:08 pace I've run an 8 mi race at 8:28 pace so I'm guessing I'd be somewhere in between for a 6.2mi (10K).
  • I don't know if I'd call it a "second wind" but I do get "into the zone" somewhere between 4-5 miles where everything is smooth and I feel like I could run forever. breathing is easy, muscles are warm. of course, this only happens if the weather is ok (not hot or humid) and the area I'm running in is only gradually…
  • pics!!! happy for you!

  • amazing results! And I applaud you for being brave enough to take "before" pictures. I havent' done it yet and I started 30DS today. I guess I should. but I don't like to look at it! Also, I agree with the other poster, your loss looks like a lot more than 5#! I guess the increase in muscle is making the scale not tip as…
  • amen sista! uh, can I get another amen?! (sorry, double post)
  • ha ha. to each their own, I guess! :ohwell:
  • elevation can make a big difference, but the elevation change you're talking about is pretty insignificant (I think?) my hometown is at about 1350ft and when I ran a race up at our local ski resort (in the summer, though, very little snow) which was at about 6000ft, I felt a difference, but little differences such as a few…
  • cute hair, cute dress, cute glasses! :flowerforyou: my husband loves girls in glasses. I'm supposed to wear them but i just can't get used to it.. I don't feel like I look like *me* when I wear glasses...i guess it takes some getting used to.

  • Ok, when I first glanced at this, I thought it said SWEATY BUTT PICTURE CHALLENGE. try not to laugh at that.:noway: I tried to get a good pic, did the 30dS and then ran for 30 min, but my camera was out of batteries, and by the time I found new ones, my sweat was drying up and my lobsterface (as another poster called it)…
  • Did the 1st workout. Did fine in all of it except for the 1st round. I suck at pushups! I also only have 6.6 lb weights so that hindered my side quat arm lift things. too heavy. all in all, good, quick workout, but I don't feel like it's enough for the day. going to go for a run now
  • Bottled water is a bad choice economically and environmentally unless you live somewhere that has awful tasting water. There are actually more stringent regulations on tap water than on "bottled water" and most "bottled water" is simply bottled from a city's water supply. So you are paying for excess packaging, bottling,…
  • I'm just a lonely pilgrim I walk this world in wealth I want to know if it's you I don't trust 'cause I damn sure don't trust myself ~ The Boss (Brilliant Disguise) I've just always loved the imagery.. and there have been a lot of times in my life when I feel alone, even though I'm surrounded by people.
  • how strange. my husband looks hot in shorts and flipflops and even hotter in his man-pris and flipflops! mmmmmmm.
  • I never eat or drink water before a race. I do always have coffee when I first get up. Nothing like needing a bathroom break mid-race, so try to get moving first thing in the morning so you can "get it all out of your system" before you start running.. I try to hydrate really well for the 2 days before a race, but nothing…
  • Love that Quote Melicious! It really stuck with me after watching that movie, and I've used it many times.. now if I could just get my brain to re-believe it! When I was in high school and into my early 20s I was heavier than I am now, and I thought--make that KNEW--that I was HOT. I had ZERO body issues. then something…
  • I'm not sure where the bad juju comes from. You know those skinny mirrors they have in department stores? I wish I could buy one for my house. Maybe that would help fix my entire attitude about my body on a daily basis. All I know is that I'm overly critical about my body and I don't know why. I work in an ER, and on a…
  • OMG. the list is way too long. must WANT me.. is the first thing that comes to mind. I love that my husband is constantly complimenting me, flirting with me. Must be employed in a stable job, or be actively working toward something reliable. Musn't smoke or be addicted to alcohol or drugs Must be emotionally and physically…
  • I'm in. I signed up for the 5/29 group but got my dvd in the mail yesterday and don't wanna wait! however, I don't have light handweights (only 6 and 8lb ones) do I need to go buy some 2 or 3 lb weights? I'm 5'6" ish (maybe 5'7") current weight 137 I did all my measurements, so I'll be able to see where I lose the most. my…
  • Mine came in the mail yesterday. I think I'll start it today (I'm the impatient sort) but that's probably good as I know I'll end up skipping some days after a particularly brutal day at work. I only have 6 and 8 # weights though! I'm gathering from the comments that I need lighter weights.. grrrr.
  • not a movie. I think a place you can talk and flirt is your best bet. So, dinner and drinks, preferably somewhere there's music but not music so loud you have to yell to have a conversation. there's an italian restaurant here that's pretty hip and usually has someone playing music at a quiet-moderate level in the dining…
  • Get in even better shape than his ex-wife  because with my disordered thinking.. even though we have a crazy good love life and he compliments me a few dozen times day....and even though I honestly believe he thinks I'm way sexier than her.... the one thing that sticks in my head is when he saw an old picture of me…
  • German, English, and ... Colorado-ian (my grandmother was born in a little mud-roof prairie house Colorado and said she never thought to inquire as to what nationality they were.. they were just from Colorado!) Also, we used to be Swedish (when my other set of grandparents used to lie about their ethnicity as they were…
  • I think I can.. I think I can!
